Some observations: - Continuous pell and trap cards don't necessarily have to be face up to be tributed for true dracos, they can also be face down. - Set rotation can be used as another searcher for Dragonic Diagram. You can use either Pseudo space (in case you lose your diagram and have it in the graveyard), Domain of the true monarchs (since the format is too reliant on the extra deck, it shuts is down. It also makes your tributed summoned monsters gain 800 atk points in the damage calculation) and any other field spells, just to fulfill the needs of searching with set rotation. Another target could be summon breaker. - The monarchs erupt is a gold rare, which makes it pretty cheap. What makes this card superior to skill drain is that you are still able to activate your draco effects since they were tribute summoned, and your opponent can't. The donwside is that if you don't control a tribute summoned monster in your end phase, it is sent to the gy. I've been playing Dracos since 2018, when they got "killed" in their prime. People realized they were still good despite having dinomight at 1, but having Diagram and Demise at 3 gave them all the consistency they needed (remember they made it to the finals in 2 events back in 2019, one was mixed with sky striker, and for that reason they killed them, again, for real that time). I have to say, in it's current state in the TCG, it lacks of propper consistency, and in my opinion, I don't like running desires; it's understandable and even logic, but you have to play the maximum amout of 3 ofs in the main deck to avoid losing pivotal cards that are limited. Losing Diagram (or demise) is not a tragedy, but there's a difference between 1 and 0.
Running Desires is a risk you have to take sadly because like you said the deck lacks consistency. Other than that I agree with what you said. I also play Domain and Set Rotation, since I am running Domain, Diagram and Mystic Mine. The deck needs Diagram to 3 and at this point they should have done it already.

Extravagance interferes drastically with Duality, Demise and your TD spells (not mentioning that its activation must be the first thing you do in your turn). Once you activate it, you can only be allowed to search cards, not drawing, making those cards that draw useless. Sadly, it seems Desires is the only draw card that sounds as a logic option now, but... Upstart goblin and Into the void can be options, not good ones, but they make you draw (it feels a bit desperate). Also add Metalfoes fusion (and Metalfoes goldriver to search it; pop it with Diagram, pop it with your own TD spells, even set it in your field to make think your opponent you have a floodgate and pop it for you.) Magic planter is another option, but you have to set up a play where Dinomight already activated its effect activating a trap from your deck, then send it as a cost to draw 2. A pretty elaborated scenario (but the card isn't a once per turn). Anchamoufrite gives you a free body and also makes you draw 1, but mind its special summon if you have Duality and Card of Demise. Thankfully the draw effect is the first thing you do. From here, if you are willing to be flexible, you can also mix it with some Monarch cards and even going back in time, re-building True Draco Metalfoes Kozmo Zoodiac (Maybe zoodiac is forcing the deck's limits too far since Drident and Master peace are banned, but, prove me wrong.)

You could also try a small package of the Golden lord and the cursed eldland (even mix the two cores, Eldlich and True draco in one deck). With the golden lord you can send a TD spell/trap to use their effects of destruction every turn and special summon an indestructible boss monster of 3500. Mana dragon zirnitron is also a card to considerate.
I've been on True Draco's since Dino went to 2. I was tired of playing combo and wanted something cheap(even though I bought everything near mint/limited/1st Ed) so I spent a pretty penny. It is a VERY viable deck, it just loses to itself with it's inconsistentcy.
In a format where cards like skill drain are actually good (meaning not this one) you can put in the monarchs erupt as a budget skill drain. Cool thing about true draco is you can essentially swap out the floodgates for whatever ones are good that format and it usually works out nicely.
Skill Drain isn't good this format, but Soul Drain is. And yeah, there are a lot of flex spots in this deck. For example Domain of the True Monarchs should be played 100%. It's cheap and works with this deck.
If you want a better version of this deck. I highly recommend eldlich true draco since you can use golden lord to pop your draco traps or spells giving you more value. Also you can use cards like forbidden droplet in the same way . Magician souls also can send eldlich and traco traps for draw power and activate the traps gy effect. It makes the deck less bricky I also play some of the monarch spells and traps for more control. plus eldlich traps are continuous allowing you to tribute them and use the gy effect .Only problem is it is more expensive

Ahh never have I ever clicked on a video so fast. I have been using true Draco for the past month and the many floodgates that can be used with this deck is absurd Staple cards in my deck are monacrchs erupt, non-fusion area, skill drain, all the true Draco archetype cards dragonic diaphragm, and the 2 continuous spell and trap. Grace a supernatural organism. Plus all cards that lets you draw 1-2 cards pot of duality and desires, and cards of Demise. That is my main deck and one that has carried me in master dual to diamond. This is a fairly fun deck. You can put eldlich or for backdown protection, lord of heavenly prison a whole bunch of other cards as well. Truly a very fun deck that locks everybody out of there plays.
Ah yes, the hard counter to Jowgen Pass, using floodgates as Tribute fodder. They really should have made True Dracos easier to use with their Dracoslayer comrades, that's like half the reason they're usually on Floodgates rather than Pendulums.

I wanna see a True Dracopals deck yes pendulum True Draco. Been playing Pepe with it and the deck can make 7 negates going first playing thru impermanence and ash. Going second it can break thru negates and kill your opponent but if you can't OTK your opponent you can deal enough dmg then set up 3-5 negates to make them scoop. 50 cards is a lot to work with but the deck is crazy
you can run a small evil eye package in this deck for a power normal summon that doesnt impact any of your plays with demise, duality, or lose one turn. Serziel pops one of your own cards on stanby which just lets you destroy your enemy. I really liked the engine and it made up for some of consistency issues with diagram at 1 and missing masterpeace.

Just the core costs more than this entire budget rn on tcgplayer… as a dad working retail while in college living in an expensive ass state, this gives me big sads. Worst part is I’m currently sitting on 80% of the Ishizu core and a bunch of good extra deck monsters I have no use for, just want to build something that can at least take a single game at locals in this tier 0 meta. Gonna have to wait until tax season I guess

No it doesn’t. It doesn’t matter if the monster in question is unaffected by card effects because Stormforth does not care about targeting/affecting your opponents monsters. As long as they can be used as a tribute summon, it’s fair game. It’s the equivalent of saying something like Masterpeace can’t be tributed for a kaiju or lava golem, total nonsense.

No no the whole point of true dracos is to control not draw. Where's the 3 soul drain and you need the 3 skill drain forget the prosperity put in the erupt. You also need the solemn judgements, come on Cail

@@octaviussmiley1064 nah drawing in true dracs is really important for consistency. Especially in master duel with demise at 3 lol. More draw power = draw into floodgates more
@@BrandurnPorchiga yeah having consistently is cool but having consistently in true draco can't compete with the meta. In master duel it's no different but that's yeah you play upstart, chicken game and Maxx C. I'm always in platinum with my flood gates
