MasterMech77 you do understand that taking the opportunity to clean it is not "a million dollar project" and that it is just something normal to do if everything is apart, even I did that with my vespa...
You put a nice new shiny engine in an engine bay you couldn't even be bothered to degrease and jetwash. A clean engine bay won't make it faster but it's sure nicer to work in.

BoostAddict oh yeah they are. I'd want to tune a Golf TDI. You can get so much power and great gas mileage. Those diesel pickups can easily make 1000lb ft of torque.
well we do live in England so you only need to drive around for a bit and all the mud and crap with make the engine bay filthy so i guess they felt it wasn't worth it especially when its far from a show car

That really is the engine the MX-5 should have shipped with. Either the 3.0L or the 2.5L, either are spectacular engines. They sound great, they rev like no tomorrow, and they produce enough power to be thoroughly fun in such a small, lightweight car without making you soil your trousers.
Rather than add a supercharger? Of course the MX3 at the time had the V6 1.85, alluminium engine and the lighest production car with a v6 at the time if I remember. Underrated tool
The only time you drop an engine from the top is with a full frame vehicle w/o a removable sub frame, generally RWD. The majority of cars for decades (And ALL FWD cars) have a sub frame that houses the engine, steering, and suspension that all drop out from under the vehicle in one big lump.
Built 2 Break Pretty sure it has left the fleet after they had done all of the videos they could think of with it. And I think they rightly reckoned it would continue to be a money pit. Which it probably would. Judging by Alex’s comments in some of the videos, I’m pretty sure he regretted not getting an E46, once it had sapped him of his cash.

Even english language has its differences in the sound aspects, even though its the same language.
My original guess is that Gareth is from South Africa (I am one, and the accent is eerily similar I can tell you that much) but I just don't know anymore.
