You've quickly become my favorite Travel Channel! I was in Versailles this December, and it was just fantastic. Amazing experience and the Lore you get to consume with a good guide is great and you get to understand things about how our life changed in the present day after the monarchy fell. One of the things that struck me the most is how the Monarch, always needed to be seen and felt by the people and how there were ceremonies about him waking up or going to sleep, even the queen giving birth was public. Nowadays we live in societies where we don't really know anything about our true leaders while they spy and know everything about us. Quite the turnaround. Also, let me just add that im going to Milan in a month and your video about it has also been super helpful and made me even more excited for that trip.

As French. That makes me sad we had no longer Kings and Queens of France due to countless of Revolutions that had been occurred over the last centuries.
I visited this mansion having no idea it existed and when I first saw the hall of mirrors instinctively I knew it was the most beautiful hallway Ive ever seen in my life.
wow what a beautiful palace and garden. I love love watching your fun videos Angel. you give a lot of great advices and care. your knowledge of history is very insightful.
How do we go about booking one of YOUR tours of Versailles (with you as tour guide)? What is the cost, etc? We will be visiting Versailles on 16 July ‘24.
Hola! Muchas gracias por la información. Es gratis para los que tenemos pasaporte italiano y tenemos menos de 26 años? Que tipo de identificación piden para entrar?
Such a wonderful place, but it's been so long since I visited! Are the mirrors in the 'Hall of Mirrors' still covered with graffiti, or was it polished out during the restorations in the late 00s?
Damn that lav mic is crisp, what sound gear are u using on this? Haha sorry maybe completely off topic i really appreciated the video and the delivery and info but just had to ask about the sound gear used !
Hi there, thank you for this wonderful video. I’m going to Paris next month and thinking to stay one night at Waldorf Astoria, do you recommend staying there one whole day?
I’ve done that and highly encourage it. The views from the rooms of the Versailles grounds are great. It’s a different experience that helped me love Versailles even more.
@@TheTourGuyVids thank you. Although I can only afford the 4 star hotel not the main building, is it a good choice to spend more time in Versailles than just staying in Paris? Also, do you know if there’s a direct line or does the hotel provides direct way to the airport from the hotel?
Versailles is a long way from Charles De Gaulle airport. You will have to make your own arrangements and can always ask the hotel to help you but plan on budgeting €€€ for the cost
Cool fact, Marie Antoinette was actually from Austria. And brought Croissant 🥐 blueprint. Unfortunately, by 1792 during the French Revolution, a terrible fate awaits for Marie Antoinette. She ended up beheaded by thé Guillotine. Facing the same conquence as his husband Louis XVI
Please how much are the entry fees for these sites: (1) versailles palace (2) versailles town (3) Latin quarter (4) Trocadero (5) museum tour (6) 1e arrondissement (7) 3e and 4e arrondissement. I will be submitting my FRANCE TOURIST VISA SOON so I would very much grateful if I get your reply. Thanks in advance
A lot of these places you mentioned are just suburbs within Paris, you don’t need to pay to visit them. As for ticket prices for the palace and museums, you can easily google to find the answer
Thanks to this video, I booked a tour with The Tour Guy, which advertises a package that includes both the palace and the gardens. However, when you arrive, the third-party company, City Wonders, does not honor the reservation and requires you to purchase separate tickets for the gardens. So disappointing!
Hi Fabiola! We hope that you enjoyed your tour of the Palace of Versailles. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and understand this would have been disappointing. I was just there and its amazing. Its so massive. The gardens were so massive. That i didnt have time to see everything. But to think a family lived there while the people of the country didn’t have enough to eat made the whole experience a bit ugly

They should not allow people walking on the galerie des glaces. The floor will be ruined in no time…
Sad
The floor has been replaced more than once since the 17th century.
It’s lasted what almost 300 years so I think it’ll be okay
If I’m reaching there at 10:30, would I be able to visit the palace? Because I can’t book a slot before 12noon
