    Hello! Thank you so much for the video - very informative. I’m planning my trip to Paris with my mother almost 80yrs old. We would like to visit Versailles in June. but I’m concern lots of walking and being so crowded. I plan to rent a golf cart and drive her around the garden first then to the palace and Trianon. Are there places to sit around? inside? My mother walks slows and would need breaks at times. Are there any elevators or all stairs? There so much to see so not sure the best highlight to explore? Any suggestions? Or skip the garden due to the heat? My mother not fan of heat.

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It may be a challenge. I would say definitely do the golf carts. You’re in the shade on them and when you’re driving around u get some breeze. Sometimes in June it can be hot or not so you never know what you’re going to get weather wise. You can drive thru and see a lot of the gardens and maybe get out for a quick little walk into some of them if she’s up to it. However you might need to do some research as to the accessibility of the palace itself. From my memory I don’t really remember a whole lot of chairs or benches inside the palace to sit in, or elevators, but that could’ve been simply bc I didn’t need that and thus was not paying attention to whether those were present or not. I’m sorry I can’t be of more help on that front but I’m sure if you go to the website they may have some info on that?

    This video is soo much helpful, i am going to Paris next month, and your video helped me decide that, yes, i should go to VERSAILLES at any cost; also would you mind sharing the con of hiring a golf kart? the music was very loud at that point so i wasn't able to understand what you said, i am going with my elderly parents so i am surely going to hire a gold kart.

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I’m not sure what I said at that point either 🙃 I would say, from my memory (it’s been almost 2 years now) there’s no con of getting the golf cart, and in fact, if you are with your elderly parents you will certainly need it. Even being a healthy, fit person, the golf cart made it possible for us to see more areas in less time. It also kept us shaded for the most part which was key that day because it was hot!

    Is there any way you could fit in more sightseeing in Paris after a day in Versailles?

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You could! If you get to Versailles right when it opens, which I think is 9am? You could possibly leave earlier than their closing time, 5pm, and be back in Paris to do anything that is still open, or choose to do activities that aren’t sites like a major landmark or museum that might close around the same time in the afternoon as Versailles. It all depends on when you get back to Paris and your energy level after a day walking around Versailles :)

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      We got on the train from Paris I think around 9am, our ticket time into Versailles was 10:30am, so we got into Versailles (the town) with a good buffer of time to get those croissants and coffee and walk to the palace. We stayed until about 4:30 when the heat had started to get to us. So we def could’ve gotten there a little earlier, and stayed a little later, but we were satisfied with the time we spent. There are bathrooms, but i would advise using them before you really get into the thick of walking thru the palace bc once you’re in there, obviously they are scarce. When you’re out on the grounds, you can find restrooms at various places usually by the little cafes

    The passport ticket is only valid for two entries, and indeed you need one to get into the gardens, and if you leave to the Trianon, then you will exit and need one to get back in. You are lucky they let you in the third time; I have often seen them turn people away.

      I think bikes could be really fun and a great way to get exercise! Tbh I might have opted for that instead but my husband really wanted the golf cart, since we had been walking around in Europe a ton for the 2 weeks before this so we were both a little tired. But I’d say if you’re leaning towards the bikes, do it!

    Hi I’m planning on going Paris and just wanted to ask a question. When you travel to place of versallies, do you only need to take one train RER C train? Do you need to book another train ticket to get to the area. So for example, taking one train from Paris, RER C train, and then another train to the palace? And how about getting back from the palace to Paris?

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You only need one rer ticket there and and one to go back. We got on the rer c in Paris at the champ du mars station (I believe) and took the train all the way to the town of Versailles, where you get off and walk to the palace. It’s a very small town and the palace is an easy 10-ish minute walk. When you are ready to return you walk back to the Versailles station and get on the rer c train Which will drop you back at the champs du mar station

      @@MissMooreStyle but basically where my hotel is, on Google maps it says I would need to take a train to get onto the RER C line. So when I get to the first train station, would me paying for the Versailles ticket work even at the first train station to get to RER C? Or will the versallie ticket only work at the RER C line?

    • @MissMooreStyle
      @MissMooreStyle  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@naziarahman2641 so if the train you have to take is different than the rer c line, you will likely need to get a different train ticket, tho I can't really say for certain not seeing the route you have to take. we only took this line to versailles and back, so we just bought two one way fares for it.
