What struck me about this presentation was how straight forward and precise these 16 to 18 year old children were in comparison to the children of today. These children have greater knowledge and speaking skills than most politicians of today.
These children are definitely more well spoken than other children during their time as well. It's just a matter of how interested they are and how much exposure they have with regards to all topics like prejudice. But I do have to say that almost every child back in the olden days is much more mature. Some would argue that times were rougher and people have to grow up quicker than they should be but in a way, I see no harm in harvesting brilliant minds all around again
Unsurprisingly, this kid grew up to be a public relations professional. His most prominent role was working for Philippine ex-President Cory Aquino as her crisis manager. He disassociated himself from the administration when scandals erupted within the administration. He remained a brilliant orator and master communicator. He passed away at the age of 72. May he rest in peace.
Heartbreaking to watch and listen. We have descended so far from this age. This sort of respectful, courteous and purposeful discussion could never happen today. Not in media, or in university, especially not amongst teenagers.
And remember, this is the 1950s, people are still healing from the war, but yes till they are sitting together peacefully, talking. And I think it's beautiful ❤
The main things to take away from this are How polite these kids are. How educated they are for their young age. Even if some comments made you agree or disagree with they stuck to what they believed in and explained why they thought the way they do. Compare this to a lot (not all)of kids their age now and try and get opposing kids to have a civil debates these days it is very different
Tell me about it. Kids nowadays are so entitled and given to bullying because of some warped sense of i-know-everything. Prejudiced coz they have lost respect even for themselves.

Yes, the different cultural ideas and lifestyles are colliding. That is the confliction that is looked over and that conversation never happens. Instead, the more overpowering nation lays down their law, almost erasing the others. Never getting a chance to see the potentiality. This is a peaceful & friendly debate...also the best way of communicationg other races...open-mindedness and respect of others are important...
Thats very brilliant from Philippines and Indonesia.
I really love listening to Yoriko's voice. It's sweet and soothing.
Yes, the different cultural ideas and lifestyles are colliding. That is the confliction that is looked over and that conversation never happens. Instead, the more overpowering nation lays down their law, almost erasing the others. Never getting a chance to see the potentiality. The way these students choose their words wisely and precisely, to convey their thoughts to it's core, instead of straying off course in what they want to portray, otherwise.
The host is amazing! She had no problem with the names at all!
How I wish all children this generation are as polite as these children way back then...children before are very eloquent, polite and very smart..

Wow I'm an Education grad here in Philippines but I can't express the way that Filipino kid can do😅
