I agree with all of this. This game seems to be taking the superior controls of Dark Moon with the more open feeling of the first game. The tone also seems to be a balance. The story and setting seems very intriguing as well.
Lets talk about the gameplay real quick. Since the first one and dark moon we're more linear. LM3 might be the first open world based one. Meaning you could go anywhere, fight any boss, catch an endless wave of ghosts in the hallways, and rescue any character at any time, in any order. I'm not sure on whether or not it's accurate, but hey, a guy can dream.
Just wanted to inform you that the car with the Polterpup in front of it, is in fact E. Gadd's car. In the first game he tells us that he's been hunting ghosts since he was about twenty years old, so we can assume he's "stuck in the past" so to say. Further hinting that the old timey car in the garage is Elvin Gadd's car. I'm not diminishing the video at all, it's just Luigi's Mansion is my favorite video game series and I thought I could put my only skills to use and help inform everybody here! XD

The "personality" is what killed it for some people. It made the game much less scary. Especially the ghost. They made them more expressive, but it turn, that made them feel more... "human"? They didn't felt like creepy monsters out there to get you anymore.

Nin10doland , I really like where you were going around the end of the video. The idea of the new building being a hotel could be the perfect opportunity to bring the Portrait Ghosts from the original. Imagine, walking around a nearby hallway and hear snoring and it happens to be a ghost in pajamas who's a kid. Or if there's a pool area, you might be fighting a trio of swimming ghosts. And a few minor ones like a business man ghost who happened to take his work on vacation with him, a pet center with an army of ghostly rabbits, or even a ghost in a black suit playing jazz in that music room! They have a lot more opportunities for portrait ghosts now that we seem to be going to a hotel for the third main installment in the Luigi's Mansion franchise and I'm pretty sure you and lots of other people can think up a few yourselves.

There’s a hole in the wall of Mario’s room that you missed. It’s on the right side. I’m fairly sure that the floor is wet in the front of the dining room. The hotel is also up in the mountains as shown in the dining room windows.

I have to admit, I thought I'd caught eye to just about everything there was to be seen, but I actually didn't quite catch every detail. Good job with all that, you did pretty good. I also could only viewed the trailer on my switch in hand held, so I guess you had a better advantage though. XD!
One thing I noticed: At the end of Luigi's Mansion 2, The Polterpup (the dog that kept hiding stuff from Luigi) gained pupils when the dark moon was restored and he became 'good' again. But in the few seconds he's in this trailer, there's a split second his eyes are open and he doesn't have pupils. Could it be that King Boo broke the Dark Moon again, or even made a Dark moon of his own that has the opposite effect? Also, at the beginning of the trailer, Luigi looks less 'spooked' and more 'shocked/worried'. Maybe when he first comes in he finds something creepy i a concerning way? (Like the ghosts taking Mario away, perhaps?)

With the gold engravings on the sides, flaming red carpets, and bathrooms literally right outside the giant doors, this leads me to believe that beind those large golden doors is an auditorium or theater stage of some kind.

At 5:00 we see a a door. I think a boss should be in that room, and once you unlock it, you can go in and change what music you hear in each area. Music tracks unlock when you hear them for the first time, then you can either go back, or use whatever device Egad gives you to change it. You could change tracks for different areas, but only when you unlock it. That's just an idea.

The bad ending where you don't get the certain things you need (like bonus toads, gems, or power ghosts) but you still get to king boo. king boo takes control of luigi since he is a ghost and he uses luigi to do something really evil. The good ending where you are able to resist king boo's power, you beat him, then you return to the physical world, and everything is normal again. idk if thats a good idea but whatever
My thought is that once you save the characters you can play as them in some sort of multiplayer mostly because I have the mindset that this is some sort of fully realized scarescraper
I always thought from this trailer that the game would start with E-Gadd trying to find the Mario Characters in the hotel but a bunch of ghosts begin to attack, he only has time to save one and chooses Luigi because obvious reasons, but that’s what I think, nice to see your opinion!
It also looks like the tower has different themes the higher you go (From to to bottom) We can see what looks like dark boo’s lair we can even see the diamond he’s used to wear Then there’s a disco themed one that is probably the music level I can’t tell for the two following A garden themed And a mansion one
I have a story prediction! Maybe it’s one of this things where, Luigi, Mario, Peach, and Toad, were all invited to this hotel for a party/event to stay for the night. However, as it turned out, it wasn’t anything CLOSE to that, and they all ended up being captured, all except Luigi, because he has experience with ghosts or something.
Another thing: In Luigi's Mansion 1, you save Mario. In Dark Moon, you save Mario and some Toads. So maybe in this one, you save Mario, Toad, and Peach, similar to an add-on(when you have game something previously and put something else onto it).

In American hotels, the 100 spot always references the floor number. There are not always 100 rooms on a floor. So the 500 room number we see in the trailer means that we are at least 4-5 stories high. (I believe japan skips 4 because it it spelled similar to death, it might depend).
Prediction 1: In the final scene we see that there are no portraits to the side of Toad's so it's a pretty safe bet there are only 4. I feel like there will be chapters like in Luigi's Mansion 1 but there will only be 3 instead of 4. I think we will save Toad in Chapter 1 (as Toad was one of your companions close to the beginning), Peach in Chapter 2 and Mario in the 3rd and final (as he was always the end goal in both games). Prediction 2: There will be a boss guarding each character meaning there will be 3 main bosses, but I think there will be a fakeout boss before the final fight with King Boo, so there will be 4, as well as some mini-bosses here and there. Prediction 3: The scene with the polterpup points to that being the hub. E Gadd is seen driving the car in the Dark Moon credits and he does research at Gloomy Manor, meaning it is probably his car, so it is in the garage of his lab. The fact the polterpup is there also points to this as the Polterpup is friends with E Gadd and Luigi and either Luigi brought the Polterpup the hotel, or E Gadd was researching about Polterpup when this game takes place. The fact Luigi is using his vaccum also means we can probably freely walk around in the lab, even though it will probably be small, kind of like the Train in Splatoon 2, Octo Expansion.
The ghost's "outfit" outside the music room looks more like that of a bellhop. The hat has no brim so can't be a top hat. It would also fit with the hotel theme.
Not gonna lie, the mansion/hotel almost reminds me of Tartarus from Persona 3. I really hope the portrait ghosts come back. The room with the music aesthetic gives me hope for Melody, in particular.

The bad ending where you don't get the certain things you need (like bonus toads, gems, or power ghosts) but you still get to king boo. king boo takes control of luigi since he is a ghost and he uses luigi to do something really evil. The good ending where you are able to resist king boo's power, you beat him, then you return to the physical world, and everything is normal again.

I’m sad to say that I’ve never played Luigi’s mansion, however, I bought it late for the GC last year so I will be playing it in October! Hyped
My thought is that once you save the characters you can play as them in some sort of multiplayer mostly because I have the mindset that this is some sort of fully realized scarescraper
I always thought from this trailer that the game would start with E-Gadd trying to find the Mario Characters in the hotel but a bunch of ghosts begin to attack, he only has time to save one and chooses Luigi because obvious reasons, but that’s what I think, nice to see your opinion!

I have a story prediction! Maybe it’s one of this things where, Luigi, Mario, Peach, and Toad, were all invited to this hotel for a party/event to stay for the night. However, as it turned out, it wasn’t anything CLOSE to that, and they all ended up being captured, all except Luigi, because he has experience with ghosts or something.
Another thing:
In Luigi's Mansion 1, you save Mario.
In Dark Moon, you save Mario and some Toads.
So maybe in this one, you save Mario, Toad, and Peach, similar to an add-on(when you have game something previously and put something else onto it).

In American hotels, the 100 spot always references the floor number. There are not always 100 rooms on a floor. So the 500 room number we see in the trailer means that we are at least 4-5 stories high. (I believe japan skips 4 because it it spelled similar to death, it might depend).

think the ghost with the rug might be an usher for a theatre and that the double doors lead to an auditorium would explain the toilets too
Prediction 1: In the final scene we see that there are no portraits to the side of Toad's so it's a pretty safe bet there are only 4. I feel like there will be chapters like in Luigi's Mansion 1 but there will only be 3 instead of 4. I think we will save Toad in Chapter 1 (as Toad was one of your companions close to the beginning), Peach in Chapter 2 and Mario in the 3rd and final (as he was always the end goal in both games).
Prediction 2: There will be a boss guarding each character meaning there will be 3 main bosses, but I think there will be a fakeout boss before the final fight with King Boo, so there will be 4, as well as some mini-bosses here and there.
Prediction 3: The scene with the polterpup points to that being the hub. E Gadd is seen driving the car in the Dark Moon credits and he does research at Gloomy Manor, meaning it is probably his car, so it is in the garage of his lab. The fact the polterpup is there also points to this as the Polterpup is friends with E Gadd and Luigi and either Luigi brought the Polterpup the hotel, or E Gadd was researching about Polterpup when this game takes place. The fact Luigi is using his vaccum also means we can probably freely walk around in the lab, even though it will probably be small, kind of like the Train in Splatoon 2, Octo Expansion.

The ghost's "outfit" outside the music room looks more like that of a bellhop. The hat has no brim so can't be a top hat. It would also fit with the hotel theme.
