Great video and explanation of waste water systems. I like the engineering design using enzymes to break down sludge and keep the piping clean, and I've seen one of those clogged pipes which we had to dig up and replace, there was no other recourse. Like you say, not the most glamorous topic but engineers need to know. Not maintaining these systems could lead to disaster! Well done!
Thank you for sharing your experience Mark, I can imagine the nightmare of a shore base pipe being clogged and the pressure from the office to fix it fast, here in the vessel people can't have more than 1 day without toilet without going crazy.. But I guess when the alternative is buckets... 😂
oh man! i missed your videos, I hope 2021 you wont starve us this much. I'm glad seeing you again. i completed watching all your videos and expect you to post more both onboard and ashore. keep up the good work.
Hahah I hope so too my bro, as an officer life at sea is much more difficult but I'll always find some time to upload something.. Now I'll also try to make an update on life as a 4th Engineer
@@ShrimptoShark I can only imagine the overwhelming responsibilities as fourth engineer. kindly do vids of 4th engineer as it is one of the immediate responsibilities after engine cadet. stay safe, success and nothing else
It should be a regular maintenance (time based) there are also sewage analysis in which if you see too many suspended solids there should be more bacteria dosed
Thank you very much poconagean, to answer your question on that vessel and the first vessel I was on as an Officer we had YANMAR A/E and right now we are working with WARTSILA A/E.
Well I have enough clips for the bowl overhaul, but I don't have any with the shafts (other than bearing change) and the water distribution device (haven't done anything with that). I feel like I require a bit more clips in order to make a good video about that.
@@ShrimptoShark take your time bro :) By the way i'd like to see operation of hfo purifier and most frequent alarm list and actions ! I know i'm asking a lot but this is my wish on youtube ❤
@@ShrimptoShark i have followed u on IG please follow back my brother.!!😀😀 I hope you can give me your email!! I wanna ask you a lot about auxiliaries engine on board Thank u brother 🙏
Sure thing Nathaniel I'll check my Instagram for any messages and whenever I'll have some time and hopefully good connection then I'll try to reply your doubts.. It's easier when I'm back at home though at shore.
your videos are amazing! thank you for doing this. I'm a cadet and I am looking for an opportunity to be onboard. While i am waiting, i am studying with your videos. You are a fantastic engineer! thanks and blessings! from Peru :)
I have some clips about the steering gear however I could show the emergency steering procedure and maybe some basic information about the isolation valves in case there is an oil leak however I am not so knowledgeable yet about this system. I'd like to study it more.. Anyway I'm onboard and accumulating clips of various jobs.
Well I could show case it and how it works.. In reality the only thing that I have done with the steering gear is emergency test procedure for local operation and filling the hydraulic oil tanks.
hello friend, do you still remember me ???Thank you for uploading the video which has been my question so far, is it true that the seawage treatment that I did was right or wrong, and what you do is the same as what I did, keep up your spirit and always improve your knowledge greetings from Indonesia Follow my IG @Rioyuhanda

Haha little by little I got an idea in order to upload more consistently and update my actual situation as an officer.. Life is hard on an old vessel.
Thank u sir.. very informative same system here.
It's a good system, in the beginning it's a headache but with experience you learn how to solve the common problems. Success and nothing else
Whats your vessel sir? It seems that the way your Sewage T.P, valves everything was place the same in our vessel it looks like same design.

bro, can you make a detail working video of steering gear system? how the hydraulic oil flows and the ram moves?

Can we use gamazyme dpc in sewage treatment plant ?or only 700fn, on the bucket written same purpose heavy-duty sewage system cleaner.
In reality in extreme cases you could..however i dont think they are as powerful as the 700FN.
hello friend good to see you
Hello amigo! Have safe journeys
Perfect you will be good engineer
Thanks make video on grease trap
😜😜Ughhh I dislike that more than sewage rotten food is so bad..
