RGT Intruder / FTX Trooper | Land Cruiser - Short But Sweet!

- I filmed this little promo for CML, the company behind popular budget brand FTX, but - due to a miscommunication/lack of thinking on my part - they can't use it. The truck they sent was an early sample and had the wrong branding on it... I was meant to swap over to the FTX stuff. D'oh!
So I thought I'd share it here, even though it's a shorter film than I'd usually do. I was going to edit a longer movie for here anyway - this is a really cool little truck.
I really liked the four-door version FTX did a while back (check my FTX playlist for films of that), but with all its gear shifting and diff locking abilities it worked out just too expensive to really be popular. Shame, as it was well worth the price.
This new one, meanwhile, drops all that for a nice simple chassis that's full-time locked 4WD and, better still as far as I'm concerned, sitting on straight axles instead of portals. Less capable, sure, but more scale. And way cheaper...
I need to film this again with full FTX regalia, so there may well be more coming here too.

Looking good, Steve! That's a shame CML can't use it, it's a great video as per from you but at least you get to do it all over again for us to enjoy! It seems warmer weather has eventually come to Wales, it was here in the midlands but seems to have gone again! Hope all is well mate! 😎👍
It's warmer, but cloudy almost constantly even when it's not raining... still doesn't feel like summer's even started! I waited ages for even a hint of blue sky to film the next one... I'm going to post that very shortly, though. I'm good thanks, hope you are too!
Oh, that was cool to watch! My friend Mark Bryan recommended I should check your channel, so I did but didn't have time to watch any videos, so I subscribed so I wouldn't forget, definitely worth it! Nice crawling and with a bit of fast action, too! I love the editing to match the music, nicely done!

Very cool promotional style video Steve, thank you! I hope you get the chance soon to film with the FTX version. Was thinking, perhaps the company can design certain colours or specs to be FTX only to differentiate from the family members. Maybe a period correct striking colour scheme (light blue metallic, orange) or FTX only scale details/accesoires? A decal sheet with Welsh flag, your and others, UK TH-cam, channel logos? Anyway, rambling on with some off-the-cuff ideas. Thank you so much for a cool rc running video and eager for the new one from RCCM-W, cheers 👏😎
I like your thinking! A Welsh flag sticker would be particularly ace. 😎 Maybe if it sells well they'll add some new colours and versions?
Fingers crossed the ideas will reach FTX HQ! Would be cool, a range of domestic market only colours and a home market specific stickersheet, scale accessoires,
a tiny milk crate for their rooftop rails 😊

I didn't realise they did the 3 door version for the rc as I have the 5 door black one. Where can I get this body to mate as love the look of yours and great video mate 👍
This one's new, and I don't know if you can get the body only... presumably as a replacement though? I know CML imports them and places like Modelsport sell FTX. Easier to buy the whole truck than to fit the big bumper/body onto a custom chassis though, I'd say (this one's a simple straight-axle thing and nothing like the 5-door's TRX clone, at least).
I've watched this three times now and I quite fancy one of these. If you decide to sell it you know my addy 😉👍🏼
They're great! Scale and characterful, without the fragility that usually entails.
