Very good audio quality, for recording from the headphone jack.

Yeah. Headphones out gives quite nice audio signal on FGDP-30

I'm having a problem with my Yamaha FGDP-30. When I monitor it through my interface, the default kit sounds great. But when I switch to other kits the levelling is terrible. I can't hear my kicks and the toms are going to crush my speakers lol. Are the kits levelled properly for you on all of them? it's fine in my headphones or straight into my speakers!! why is it different in my interface on a kit by kit basis LOL

There should be no difference in leveling when you switch kits. Mine sound similar. I think maybe there is some gain problems with Your interface. What are you using?

@@coffebeats I'm using the Motu M2. No hiss or anything, no problems with other inputs on either side of the interface! The Maple Kit 01 is good! But kit 02 EDM, the kick is inaudible -36db territory and the toms are +12db breakin speakers lol

All I could catch was that you were playing the snare with your right thumb....right?

Nope. Thumb is for foot only. For snare are pointing fingers. Do you think making tutorial on how to distribute fingers on FGDP will be helpful?

@@coffebeats I think it could help, yes. Your fingers move too fast to follow! :D

@@coffebeatsAlways love seeing layout breakdowns! Cool to see how other producers and musicians think, but also GREALY helps with inspiration for personal layouts (even with differing hardware or software), and breaks through some design block when an unintentional problem is answered!

Really cannot understand why one would prefer to use these toys instead of ipad/macbook. It even looks silly.

Tactile feel and separation of concerns. The more you use the tool only for the specific thing you use it for, the more it becomes intuitive and motivating to use it for that specific purpose. It's also void of distraction, unlike an iPad/macbook which is not only a music tool. Personally, I do value the versatility of computers for music-making, but these dedicated gear are fun to have and play with and just gets me in the music-making mood
