This was actually helpful the main issue is not allowing it to twist and training your fingers to hold it properly. I'm a visual and hands on learner so having no audio helped me to not be overwhelmed a tip for anyone that might come to this video find a tutorial that works for you or it'll be so easy to give up learning

if the pattern says to make a ring, sc 6, put a marker, and then continue working in the round (increasing in each stitch), do i need to do the last step in this video with the slip stitch??

i’ve been doing all my stuff wrong the whole time- I was told that i make the 5 sc on the Mr (or how many stitches on the patterns) and then the working thread thing on the hook was the final thing 😭😭😭
Put it on .5 speed and do it with the video. You have to also play around with your hand placement until you find a way that's comfortable for you. I have to make my loop big enough to hold it in the same hand as my hook. You'll get it. Don't give up. You can put it down, give it the finger, and walk away, but don't give up.
Just a tip for everyone- slow the video speed to .25 and use the time bar as needed. Helped me!! I figured it out after a few tries
