Just to confirm, I had every boon required, level 8 special, legendaries and all, but no charged skewer and my damage was just not cutting it. So yea, if you get no charged skewer, this run would not work.
GG on the run Haelian, even it is not verifable for TH rules I trust it is a unseeded run. I have seen a lot of question i could answer: 1- You can use Charont weel to earn money on. No-Hit but no on No Damage 2- Using Chaos is legal on No Hit as long as proc the curse 3- Athena is banned on No Hit (Legal on No Damage) cause she is just broken, it has been discussed to make her legal on No Hit but the discussion always end on "you could spam dash and dont get hit"
Impressive! Def one of my proudest Hades moments was having a no-hit Dad fight (not the whole run obvs, just Dad). Don’t remember off the dome what the build was but I was out of my mind excited when I got to the end of that one!
The truth is that playing "optimally" would probably mean constantly pause buffering. As soon as you enter each chamber to sus out the enemies, as enemies are spawning to think about positioning, right after enemies spawn in to consider each enemy type, etc. There's no downside really, it's just a matter of what's at stake. Doing very high heat or speedrunning will see good returns in learning to pause buffer effectively. This was one of the reasons that I shifted into doing real time speedruns (when I actually do attempt speedrunning the game lol) instead of focusing on Any% which uses the in game timer. IGT speedruns benefit greatly from abusing pause buffering which makes it a bit less fun to play for me and probably a lot less fun to watch. Not to diminish the speedrunners that use it of course, it is a tool and still requires practice to use well and it's awesome to see how efficient the game can become from something like it.
@@Haelian thanks for the detailed reply Dan. And yeah, it would 100% be awful to watch, but potentially interesting to have a short segment demonstrating how to use it like you described. Thanks again!
I would say anything that disables pierced butterfly can be considered a hit. That being said, chaos curse damage does not actually disable pierced butterfly. You could say chaos curse doesn’t count as a hit.
@@Haelian But... are you really getting "hit" standing in lava? Obviously it's silly to define it that way, but my point is that the definition is so arbitrary, it's really just up to how you want to challenge yourself.
For guan yu, you have to reach (not beat) the final boss and unlock any 5 aspects, then Achilles will tell you about it. All the rest, you have to invest at least 5 blood into the weapon and then another character will tell you the hidden aspect. Iirc sword is from nyx, shield is from chaos, bow is from Artemis, fists is from minotaur, and gun is from zeus
invest 5 titan blood into the weapon that you want the aspect from. You will first get guan yu from talking to achilles. After that, you can unlock the rest. Talk to Artemis for bow (I think), Zeus for rail, Asterius for fist, nyx for sword and chaos for the shield.
I realise other people have already answered this but here's my explanation in case it helps dispel any confusion. The hidden aspects have various triggers to unlock them, but the first you'll need to unlock is the spear. [Spoiler warning for anyone who wants to discover how to unlock them themselves!] --- To unlock the hidden spear aspect: -Purchase the Fated List of Minor Prophecies from the House Contractor -Reach the final boss (defeating the boss is not required) -Unlock any 5 non-Zagreus aspects for any weapon using Titan Blood -Talk to Achilles (with any weapon equipped) until he gives you the waking-phrase -Equip the Spear at the House and then interact with its placeholder (as if you were going to upgrade it) to reveal the hidden aspect. Once you've unlocked the spear, you can start unlocking the hidden aspects for the other weapons. To do this, you need to invest 5 Titan Blood on the relevant weapon type and then speak to various people. Sword - Nyx Shield - Chaos Bow - Artemis Fists - Asterius Rail - Zeus If they don't give you the waking phrase immediately, just keep doing runs until they do, sometimes other conversations can take priority over the ones where they reveal the waking phrases. Some of this information was ripped from the Hades Wiki so thanks to whoever originally wrote that. Hope this helps!

That ruleset sounds miserable lmao
What is your favorite build? Btw thanks for always making my day better. Helps me relax watching your vids after a long day!

It was seeded, he literally says he seeded the first hammer.
he said the first chamber was seeded, certainly still very impressive seeing as that just reduces resets though
A true Hermes-sponsored run. Fuckin goated
High confidence was deactivated in Tartarus when he took Chaos.
This is why we don't use max lasting consequences omegalul
9:28 I clenched for you
The fact he isn’t in high confidence zone for basically the whole run

i cant imagine a no hit dad fight when dad has insta hits available to him.....
What a gamer You really are the goat, got a new pb thanks to you this morning . 10:08 with hera.
so impressive! the thanotos keepsake is one I have never used, simply because it is impossible for me not to get hit 😢
These runs are needlessly stressful honestly LOL
I used to try out Than's keepsake for ~roleplay~ and I would get so frustrated! I don't rage quit often, but those runs got to me...
I'm sure it would not be the most viewer-friendly video, but I'd love a demonstration of all the ways you can use pause buffering to help a run.

Only issue with that rule is that you can stand in lava and take damage after an encounter is over, which would not do anything to the Butterfly.

there should be heat leaderboards for this that would be sick
Problem is that theres mods in the game which is basically cheating.
I'm playing on a Switch, always handheld never on monitor, and i haven't beaten hades once in around ~80 runs. This game is so frustrating for me.
haelian it's not an accident if you're trying to do it!!!!!!
How you unlock last aspect for all ??

It can take some time for the dialogues to trigger but if you're looking for a specific one just try to encounter that character as much as possible
invest 5 titan blood into the weapon that you want the aspect from. You will first get guan yu from talking to achilles.

so basically damage you willing to take is allowed. interesting
well yes, its a no *hit* run, not a no *damage* run
So if i willfully let an enemy hit me it is ok, gotcha! this will actually help a lot, thanks!
More like damage you inflict on yourself is sometimes allowed
Appreciate all the effort of being a smart ass.
Kind of fits with the fact that getting hit by a Chaos curse doesn’t make you fail an Erebus chamber
🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🤠😎🥵
iam getting a little fed up with this game on my series s its started crashing all the time somtimes halfway through a run
Not again
