as a game developer watching your channel, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a bunch more of us xD I don't have any free time at all, playing games just doesn't happen - so seeing other people play games almost scratches that itch, and I can do it while I'm working lol. You're totally right about demos though, if the demo falls flat then you lose EVERYONE. Yes, players, but also streamers and press who want to check it out - and that's more important imo
Very well done Haelian! I have bought PS5 controller and connected it to my PC just for this game. You have inspired me to try different builds. Can't wait for Hades 2!
I find it funny that you bought a controller for this game specifically, cause I bought a new controller just for celeste, but I still use M & K for Hades
I love it when games have demos, it gives you a much better idea of how the game's going to be. The trailer for Alruna (metroidvania) didn't look great, but the demo immediately convinced me to wishlist it. Speaking of Next Fest, I'm guessing you're checking out Realm in Ink, since it's literally just Chinese Hades?
Balatro is definitely a step forward in the demo department. That demo was a massive success and I don't think the game would've blown up as hard as it did if it didn't have a demo. I think other devs are going to see that and we might just see the return of demos like in the early playstation era. I truly hope with all my heart that this is the beginning of a come back.
@@JadenJones-q3e When early access arrives, you can check the minimum system requirements at the bottom of the Steam page. For now, PCGameBenchmark predicts that you need "at least an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti graphics card, an Intel Core i7-6800K processor, and at least 8GB of RAM."
If a game that seems like it could be interesting has a demo, I always play it. I'm glad they're starting to gain popularity again, they're such a great thing to have.
True shot is one of my favorite casts for Poseidon. I just beat 32 heat for the second time with that as a build. Put together a Lvl 11 Mirage True Shot that simply cleaned house (chaos helped too)
I used to get demos all the time; back in the ps1 days when you could get a demo disc occasionally, it was better than a review for me! Nowadays, not so much.
After Theseus why do you check the left side of the boss area? I've noticed you've done this a few times. Just started last week, wondering if I'm missing something
Early Access if and only if I A: super trust the devs (Supergiant and Larian are in this category), or B: it looks like I'll get my money's worth from the get-go. (Lots of the cheaper indie RPG and roguelike ones that launch already with enough content to justify the price. /shurg)
I tried to do this build and on the first run I didn't get a god boon till the third chamber and it was a common Artemis cast. No chaos gates in sight lol. I swear I have the worst like on earth with this game sometimes
I'm always confused when Haelian doesn't seem to want to go for Fully Loaded from Artemis on cast builds. Having an absurd number of casts is always really fun for me and hes always like "I guess we'll go for the lego" and would rather have Flurry Cast?
The requirements for it are heavy, in this run it required seeing Artemis at least 4 times. It's a great reward but the risk of not getting the pay out is very high so I don't set my expectations too high.
Some chambers have no traps or too few to deal enough damage. Also, some enemies in Asphodel float and cannot be hurt by the magma. Would have been a nice challenge.
The only early access game I've ever played was powerwash simulator. No regrets there but in general my policy is not to buy something with the expectation of it getting better in the future.
I love that you always give supportive shade a nod.

That shop and the leg. Never punished
I love Hades, and I love you, Dan. Every time I see one of your videos pop up, it prompts me to play some more and try a new build.

I checked it out a long while ago before the current demo build, might have to check it again, thanks!
I know this is unrelated but do y'all think I would be able to play Hades 2 early access on a Microsoft surface pro 7?

"So now I gotta start whackin'"
This is what I came for thx
I blush a little every time haelean says baby

You should totally do a video where you try to get as much move speed as possible. It would also give a reason to use zag sword
Have done before but might be fun to revisit again.

Aphrodite Atk
Athena Spec
Artemis Cast
Athena Dash
Poseidon Call
mirage Shot, Heart rend, deadly reversal, parting shot
Flurry cast --> Auto recall, Fully loaded
what i call "Sharpshooter Build"

Never played Demos or early access but after Palworld I may give them a try in the future.
3400 hours and still an undiscovered river denizen lol what hope do the rest of us have 😂
@@bndzmrno it’s because he has to start a new save file frequently to reduce loading times; every run increases overall loading time.
The Stanley parable demo was my favorite

To say hi to the fan in red
How you unlock heart of boons ? 😅

actually the cast boons do actually increase base damage
Mullet mad jack is fun
Sometimes early access games are basically as good as finished ones
Satisfactory for example is a game i dont really consider early access
Steam will one day lose it's Dev-Player-friendly way once the head Director Changes i fear
Let's enjoy the Days until then
Has anyone ever attempted a trap kill only run ?

@@Haelian damn, maybe a predominantly trap damage run could work? Doesn’t quite hit the same tho
try the cult of the lamb
