I haven't tried it but I don't see any reason why you cant bring your bottled water to the restaurant. We ordered our water and soda package before cruise as i was told they could be more expensive if booked on board. So far, we've been assigned to different tables in Horizon since day 1. Im not sure if that's a new thing or if it's cause we have specialty dining at times. We made our reservations thru the app a while back and was able to add other shipmates from another stateroom including one person who was added the last minute. You can ask them on your first dinner if you can keep the same table since you're a big group. Make sure you book specialty dining ahead of time. Also keep an eye on the excursions as sometimes they put them on deep discount. I booked a couple of ours when they had a promo a couple of weeks before our cruise but it's not guaranteed. I think that the Eatery buffet always has something to eat (like sandwiches) between the meal hours, but most people would get food from the lido deck or order it via the app (there is a one time fee to get the app activated).

Hello. Yes, that's right, we didn't buy the drink package and bought only 60 bottled water for $35 and 18 soda cans also for $35. You won't see these in the app. I found them on the website and I wondered if those were a glitch but they weren't. It was a good deal and that's all we need. Hope you'll find them too if you're on a budget and don't wanna buy the drink packages.
We didn't purchase any SPA activity but I remember getting an email from Princess reminding us to book SPA and also it in the app a couple of weeks before our cruise. May be you'll see it also a couple of weeks before your cruise but I'm not really sure.
To date, your video on the Eatery (aka buffet) is the best...showing what is available and the seating. Thank you. As your Sun Princess continues, can you confirm if the selection fro lunch (as well as dinner) remains the same all week. There's some confusion whether Princess keeps the lunch menu the same as well as the dinner menu. Also, after the buffet closes, do you know if passengers can get water / hot tea themselves or do they close the beverage station off.
Hi Leo. I can confirm that the menu at The Eatery buffet is the same everyday. However, you can always go to Horizon Decks 6 to 8 for breakfast to dinner if you get tired of buffet. They are all included in your reservation and the menu changes everyday and the ambiance is much better and relaxing with a pianist playing great music pieces ❤. Yes, there are other options as you recommended but I see 2 problems (my own POV): (1) The Royal class ships changed their menu at lunch / dinner every day so this is a step BACKWARDS since this is all about COST CUTTING. (2) I know this may sound extreme but I am a big eater and I ALWAYS eat BOTH in the MDR for dinner (multiple entres / appetizers) AND the buffet EACH evening because of the VARIETY!! The only option I have is to eat at the MDR twice in one evening (which I have done in the past on occassion and sometimes I use to get confused looks from the hostess...LOL). Hi Leo. I totally agree with you on the cost cutting efforts of Princess but not only that they are also trying to generate more revenues by increasing the prices of specialty dining. I Member Sabatini was only $25 when we took the Disccovery Cruise last year. Now all of them are $45 per person, for Crown, Catch and Butcher specifically. Alfred's pizza place is now Alacarte. In spite of all these, YES. We are enjoying our cruise. Thanks for your comments.

So we can ask to the waiter for drinks like lemonade, tea, coffee and water for free, right? Can we bring our water bottle from stateroom to the restaurant? Also, can we order water packages during the cruise and not just before boarding? Concerning the dinner table in Horizons 6th/7th deck, is it the same one assigned for all cruise days? The company does not reveal (to people booking cruises) what small packages could possibly be ordered while onboard the ship. They sell two comprehensive packages instead. The packages include WiFi, prepaid gratuities, a wide variety of drinks, and other things.
Hi Sarah. They always provide water in The Eatery (buffet) and other restaurants. They may not refill your water bottle because the staff may not have time to satisfy refill requests. They have a pitcher of water on each table. Perhaps you can use that to refill your bottle. I've just posted a breakfast buffet video. Hope that helps. Thanks.

When we were in Athens, they delivered our 2nd 24 bottles of water we ordered (out of 60 ordered) and the brand is Samaria and it says "The water of Cretan white mountains." They tastes fresh. The first 24 round of water was Frasassi Acqua Minerale (good thing I still have last bottle 😊) I assume it's from Barcelona where we started our cruise. I'll post here when we get to the 3rd and last round of our 60 order of bottled water. 60 bottles is way too much for two people. I think 48 bottles is plenty for 2 guests. The small packages are a bit hidden in the app, You need to select Packages, then menu (top right corner), then Beverage

I am really disappointed to see that the buffet is not self serve!
Plus they serve the SAME food everyday...they DO NOT rotate like the older Princess ships....this appears to be a new direction
