That’s it! That’s why I keep coming back even though your aesthetic is different from mine. You are an enabler! And you have built a community of enablers. The perfect place for a not so confident quilter.

I think a border would would look really nice in the presents quilt. You do such a nice job with the scrappy and/or piano key type borders. That Alice in Wonderland fabric is fabulous! That was so nice. I've ordered from Spoonflower and their printing is really lovely. Have a wonderful evening.

UGGS... I have all lengths I’ve worn Uggs for 10 years now. I enjoy them all, BUT when it’s COLDEST, the shorter ones don’t work as well, bc I’m up and down etc all the time, so when the bottom of my pants move up, especially when sitting, where the shorter boots stop, my legs get cold. This happens if I wear jeans or yoga type pants, even though I tuck them into my Uggs.
The length you have now work better in colder months for me. Also for many people the Shorter ones are harder to put on and off. Couple of tips also, be sure and rake inside and the soles every now and then (you can use your fingers I finally found a back scratcher that fits in there ha ha). This helps to keep them fluffed, they will matt up a bit where your toes and heels rest. I really like the no socks needed with my Uggs. Also be sure to keep the outside clean they will last for years. Just lightly brush, spot clean as needed. Look up how to care for them, they will stain if you use the wrong product.
I also spray them once a year with protector, let them dry at least 24 hours, put them back in the box for the next season. Enjoy they are worth it! Beth B

Hi Pat! Oddly enough-this morning had a few errands, then to McDonald's for breakfast including a hot macchiato. This is the first time EVER the drink was not hot!! Then to Walgreens to pick up pictures I'm going to put in Christmas cards. There at the check-out was the Peeps trees, snowmen & stockings!!! Thought I'd try your Peeps trick, so I bought the snowmen 😊😊When I got home, poured the macchiato into my coffee cup to reheat & then added one of the snowguys!!! Tasted so much better 😄😄
About the border idea, I really think it would look better with the little border of your leftovers. Looks like you would have enough.

Pat, if the damper in your chimney is open a little that might be why you're getting cold air from your fireplace.
I like the idea of using half pieces of the charm square leftovers for the border, but if it were me I'd use a solid since there are so many pretty colors in the presents. When you showed the extra charm pack my first thought was to sew them together for the back. Then you'd have a reversible Christmas wall hanging.
I love Fat Quarter Shop too! I jumped on their BF deal as well--I got a free Jolly Bar with my $100+ purchase. 😊

Old schcol but it works

Agree with you and everyone else on using (up) the charms for a border or......you said you have a red stripe for the binding? If you had enough of that fabric, do a (narrow) red stripe border (maybe even mitered?) and then (still) do the binding with the stripe with it either diagonal (candy stripe) or horizontal with the stripe pointing into the quilt. Red, red, everything red!
