For a few years while we were in CA my husband visited injured troops who returned to Travis AFB before being shipped on to another hospital or home. I started a quilts of valor group and he and the VFW Chaplin would take the quilts with them and present them to the troops. We ended up with an abundance of quilts so a nurse had to stored them to have for future use. Also, a local quilt shop heard about what I was doing and they sponsored am all day sewing on Memorial Day one year and ladies turned out for it! We also had a couple of long armors who volunteered to do the quilting for us. It was a blessing to be a part of it.
I just have to share because it is to funny that I completed your Oh My Stars Quilt last week and liked it so much I modified the pattern and made a table runner with the Hustle Bustle fabric line! LOL!
I had to leave 1/2 way through this AM. Headed to dentist at 415 AM to get to our 8 AM appointment. Saw snow and drove on snow and ice for first time in 15 yrs and haven’t lived near it in 50 yrs. I love snow, but live in a desert. Go figure!
Pat those strolling ladies in two color ways I think was also Hustle Bustle fabric. I think the large red floral that is in the back of the quilt behind you would be a lovely border for the table runner as it is Christmas but kinda unique and not run of the mill Christmas. Looking forward to seeing it.
Was sipping from my Sloan Zone mug when you announced the scavenger hunt. Had to pause the video to take and post a pic! Hmmm, I've been working on Red & White projects for holiday decorating and still need a table runner. Since I haven't made an "Oh My Stars" yet, I might try to do this! Ooh, need some Hustle & Bustle in Red!
Good to visit with you Pat Sloan! Enjoyed the replay after catching last bit of the live presentation. Love your stash of Christmas fabric. O, My Stars table runner will be nice. Have a good day & I'll catch you online tomorrow!!
Please use the Hustle Bustle! And the Shoofly blocks are wonderful. can't wait to see them in a project. I always learn something new when you walk through fabric selection.
Just had to go through my stash. This looks like a wonderful gift idea. Thank-you for discussing your fabric choices. It aides me in my color combinations.🙂😊
Love your videos - love your conversational style / like talking to a friend! As a suggestion for future project . I’d LOVE to hear your takes on how to treat panels. There are so many cute ones but I always am challenged as to how to use them / some seem to need to be cut up and then reassembled and I’d love to hear your ideas about this.
Use that Hustle Bustle! Those shoofly blocks are darling. Can't wait to see what you create with them. I have lots of RSS/C + S Christmas fabric to make throws, but need to finish my scrappy Christmas flying geese first. Kind of fell off the wagon for that when I cleaned the table for Thanksgiving.
I love Christmas fabric and the hustle bustle fabric is so pretty! I also picked up the espresso M&M’s and they are so delicious! I am hiding them and just having a couple at a time! Is that like hiding my purchases from the fabric store? Hmmmm
Where are the sewcialites setting blocks available? I'm looking for the friendship star and the other setting star blocks so i can start setting my blocks, as you have shown on your design wall as you showed in your video for block #6 ... thanks a bunch, love your video's
@@PatSloan Thankyou. I was hoping i could make the setting blocks as i make the weekly blocks, so i don't have to do them all at the end. One block a week doesn't take too much time, so i have the rest of the week to also make the setting block. I'm also going to start your new Wednesday BOW, so maybe i don't bother doing the sewcialite setting blocks as it will take up too much time at the end. I can just sew the blocks with sashing in the more traditional layout, to save time at the end. I just thought you had the setting block patterns as you had them all laid out on your design board, which looks very nice. So I will skip making the setting blocks. Thanks a bunch.
About feedsacks, could you explain what it is & what to look for? Interested in where to get the feedsack panel you showed in today’s video Tablerunner & December Scavenger Hunt.

With all the Christmas fabrics maybe consider a Lori holt vintage Christmas sew along , it’s a beautiful book.

Great fabric choices!
A sparkly gold would be great for the stars in the table runner when using the red, green and white fabric for the runner.
In my corner cupboard is the two cups ( champagne flutes) used at my grandmothers wedding. 1915 or 16.
Love this table runner.
I need to make the "Oh My Stars" table runner to match my quilt. I have a bunch of 5" squares left over from my quilt.
Oh man! Now I have to buy one of those books.
Those little ShooFly blocks would love lovely in the centre of your stars ❤
Use those scrappy charms in the table runner. That fabric is adorable
Love it when you show your process for picking fabrics

Pat the Xmas mice is adorable
I actually have no quilty mugs, jugs or glasses of any type with quilt things on them. I do use quilted hot-pads and hand made fabric coasters.

Wonderful pattern. Thank you. I have made the baby size quilt and loved it.
Thanks for the table runner pattern. I was looking for a fast Christmas gift. Your the bestest
Watching you pick (discuss picking) fabric is my favorite part of the sloan zone.
I hope you pick Hustle Bustle for the table runner.

Yes I have lots of material but it's fun to buy new!
Use the lights and bright red for the stars❤️
Beautiful and fun Christmas fabrics!!
I have that QOV book. Beautiful
How much backing will be required?
Could you use the shoo fly blocks as the star blocks?

i've had that for years, it is a reproduction. Read all about feedsacks at amzn.to/3Y3XV8s
I'm hoarding "the ladies" too!
Aww I thought you were gonna make the table runner while we watched
OMG, those ladies in stripe dresses would be so cute fussy cut as the centers of the stars for an Oh My Stars wall hanging. Just saying.
Why don't you use those already made blocks in the tablerunner?
Floating stars....is it the same concept on the quilt?
Cheryl the quilt is the pattern
I love Santa’s skinny legs on that panel!
❤❤❤
When you donate, do you get a receipt for your Taxes... ?

I think someone needs to gift me a cute quilty mug
