One time while camping me and my buddy each caught a trout by hand. It was dusk and we put a waterproof flashlight in the stream just to test the capabilities of the waterproof feature. After a couple seconds a trout swam up behind the light next to my friends hand. He quickly grabbed it and flung it out of the water. I was able to do the same. We feasted on trout that night. Although we didn't have seasoning...

I remember trolling that lake off the freeway the whole day and no bites. It is a real hit and miss on that water. Hidden gem. But camera makes it look so much nicer on a small pond. Sold My hobie revo when I moved up north. No ocean here and fishing on a lake is not the same when you use to kayak fish in the ocean. I sold my kayak with my fish finder and it had a few gps marked for crab at HMB. Always limit at my go to marks.
Taku, I am avegan and was not really a fush eater but here I am bingeing on all your video's. The only reason I could figure this out is of what you have created a Fresh Catch and cook sushi channel right on the beach on the outside and it's pretty damn good keep up the good work we got a big fan.

Your vids and cooking (and skills) are great. My favorite recipe for trout... Debone the fish with head on, Prep Pepperidge Farm Apple Stuffing mix (or herb) and stuff the body. Make a White wine and honey glaze and coat the fish standing on its belly and bake at 350 for 20 mins or so, adding glaze once or twice. Delicious!
Why does no one on these vids for trout talk about the cheek meat, arguably the best part of the fish. My kids and in-laws used to fight over these tasty morsels. You can also save them up for a special treat.
