Disney also portrayed Vader being a sheer badass in every bit of media I've seen him in, especially Rogue One, the Obi Wan show, the Jedi games by Respawn, and others.
Because there's very little to screw up about this era of his story. He's very consistently an EVIL monster to the core of his being you can write him straight and he remains entertaining. And it doesn't matter how many of these failed revenge-plots or obsessed-with-vader characters we get. We know how it'll end. It's cathartic in that way.
I don’t know if it’s just me, but Vader yelling “I am Darth Vader” kinda ruins the moment for me. I feel like it would have been stronger if he’d just turned and walked away, as if nothing had happened.

I love that the Charles Soule slowly developed her character, in different comic series (Lando, Vader, Crimson dawn trilogy). It was really cool when I realized she wasn't a new character and had appeared years ago.
Well in original comic the girl swore not to get revenge and in exchange parents give Vader valuable information. Parents made sure girl wasmsomewhat far away before they told the info. Info indicated that emperor had ordered assasins after him. I'd like to think vadernthought the girl insignificant. And then again he had super pressing matters in his head so a little girl was definitely a dostant memory then
She doesn’t matter to him. She literally can’t do anything to him. Even here, trained and ready, she did nothing. Why kill her, it’s the same as not killing her. It doesn’t matter
Think that that was practicaly immediately after the events of Revenge of the Sith. To the point that barely no one outside the Emperor and the Inquisitors knew who he was at the moment. So I guess there were still some bits of Anakin's good side that hadn't burned completly yet.
He was always a little mercurial. His reactions and decisions depended heavily on his mood. For example in Empire Strikes back, we see him choke out anybody and everybody who makes a mistake or fails in their mission, even if it wasn't their fault. But then when Vader is preoccupied after his encounter with Luke on Bespin, he completely ignores Piett's admission of failure even though it was much more egregious than some of the ones he'd already killed people over. I would guess that he was either similarly preoccupied or in a decent mood after defeating her parents, having a fun battle and speeder-chase, and uncovering a plot against him from within the Imperial hierarchy, that he simply put her out of his mind as irrelevant and moved on.
In my opinion, the moment where she started caring about the safety of her family more than she cares about her hatred of Vader was a W bigger than all her other L's. Even though Vader ruined her life, she was able to make her own one, getting a new family of her own, confronting the man that killed her first family, and ultimately came to the realization that her family, and the bonds that she developed with them, was more important than the loss that another person can cause her. She may not have gotten what she wanted, but she got what she NEEDED. I see that as a W.
Tbh, given the extensive stories they gave Vader in the comics (he got 3 self-titled comic series, for Force's sake), ANYONE trying to take him down will always be humiliated losers; whether they're fellow Imperials, bounty hunters, or even rebels. We know how Vader's story ends in Return of the Jedi, it's amusing to see all of these people thought they had a chance against him at all when they are not Luke. When they started doing Crimson Dawn stories and had Qi'ra declaring war against the Sith/Empire, I know she'll miserably fail.
Wait, so this woman had black hair and brown eyes as a child but brown hair and blue eyes as an adult? Was she dying her hair and wearing contact lenses?
It's pretty rich for Vader to make fun of her revenge quest when the only reason he's even still alive is because he hated me. Then again, Vader is a hypocrite when push comes to shove. He's a Sith who puts his desires over anyone else's. He will manipulate and abuse other people but hates it when he is manipulated or abused. All the more reason and justification of amazing more power, so he can use that power to control other people while making sure no one can control him.
She reminds me of Keith Shadis from Attack on Titan. A man who for so long believed he was special, only to ultimately realize he was nothing more than a bystander, a side character in the stories of others.
That is a pretty sick roast. "I dont even know who you are, but youve hunted me your whole life, and somehow ive impeded everything you've ever tried to do, and I've already forgotten your name."
I would say the biggest “L” in Star Wars is having three out of four your limbs chopped off by your best friend/Jedi master after you stupidly tried to flip over him. Then you end up in a suit of armor that makes you sound like an amnesiac with a added flaw to weaken you if a certain Sith master electrocutes you. Yup, that “L” is big as hell.
I’ll like to see a story similar to this but with a bitter sweet ending instead. A kid who Vader kill his entire family and swore REVENGE. So this kid grew up to become a powerful outlaw and so the time came. He started to research Jedi and Sith Mythology, and said research took him to discover a ancient artifact that aloud people to see visions of the past. Our protagonist hope to use said artifact to discover who, Vader is and what could possibly make him tick in order to defeat him. Not only did our protagonist discover everything about Vader being Anakin but how Palpatine manipulated Anakin from achieving his destiny. Through this revelation our protagonist is moved by this tragic story, and swore to help Vader reclaim his destiny by helping Luke achieve his destiny. That would be a interesting story. 😉
Theres always such hype around weapons the sith left behind but they either end up destroyed or convienently misplaced. Sad we never get to really see any of them really be used. But I suppose it makes sense since alot of them are literally solar system destroying level weapons most times.
Well, at the end, Chanath's sacrifice was worth of something, maybe Q'ira's plan couldn't suceed but indirectly led to the fall of the empire. I wonder how Lando reacted to the news of Chanath's death, he was a friend of her. Also, would be interesting if we see the orphans again, I mean the one who fall to the forest or the droind being reconstructed, who knows if they could even bring Chanath back? (Most characters in canon survives being stabbed by lightsabers apparently (Sabine, Reva, among others)).
That comic was crap writing, Vader would never call anyone a "coward" he would just kill them, and I am sure that 1 a-wing taking out 1 SSD is a far bigger "L" .
First: It’s not because of the promise, it’s only because he not cared. Second: It’s because he loves to roast others, seriously, Disney Vader is a savage, when he know that he will win, he will crush not only the body, but also the mind and soul of his enemies, because yeah… He is a bad guy.
They majorly botched an assassination attempt on someone who wasn't even their intended target, and she has the galls to seek "revenge"... Not really surprised it ended the way it did

The biggest L is Anakin sacrificing everything he was and cared about to save his wife's life, only for him to be the one who kills her.
@@ElRevenionow THAT is having your life wasted.
@@ElRevenio You forgot to mention the part where he puts the health and safety of his wife in the hands of the the dude who had spent three years trying to kill her.
Vader: "Who are you?"
Chanath: "You killed my parents!"
Vader: “Do you have the slightest idea how little that narrows it down?”
After Mustafar, Vader recognises a good roast.
No matter what roast he gives he know that he’s always the biggest roast
This may have been a massive L for her but this video marks another common Lore Master W
I will say. The Darth Vader comics have truly been one of the few consistent pieces of quality material to come out of the new canon.
Disney also portrayed Vader being a sheer badass in every bit of media I've seen him in, especially Rogue One, the Obi Wan show, the Jedi games by Respawn, and others.
@@SWDude2710 ueh, I don't think his appearance in the Kenobi show was that good, but the rest you listed, yeah.
Chanath: "MONSTER!!! You killed my fath-"
Vader: "Yes yes I killed your father. What is with you women anyway?"
"I killed my father too and you don't hear me whining about it!"
Darth vader killed the force??
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 Palpatine was like a mentor/father figure to Anakin throughout the years while he was growing up. So when he ended up "killing" Palpatine, he killed the closet thing he had to a father... Which is pretty fucking sad.
@@brandonparson8821close enough you right!
Darth bison lol
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 well technically the force created anakin due to palpatines influence so close enough
gotta admit that initial sequence on live action would be dope af
I love that the Charles Soule slowly developed her character, in different comic series (Lando, Vader, Crimson dawn trilogy). It was really cool when I realized she wasn't a new character and had appeared years ago.
It’s ironic how Kira talks about someone else thinking they’re the main character, when she herself does the exact same thing
Glad to see you still update stuff from time to time. I had miss your lore videos mate
Sorry but Vader lets her life because he promised to her parents ? He doesnt seem like the kinda guy to keep his promise
Vader literary pulled godzilla walking in and out of that ocean
Sounds about right
“You killed my family”
“I am your family”
You know shit is serious when Anakin didn't stop to choose his favourite speeder
Maybe she didn't want Vader to recognize her.
Which didn't matter because he completely forgot about her lol.
Hair could've lightened as she grew older
Unironically a better revenge plot than Reva had in Kenobi
Spends life preparing to fight a force user.
Skips over the chapters on mandalorians and melee energy weapons.
9:50 I'm going to go ahead and count that as a fourth wall break.
Vader: For you, the day Darth Vader graced your family was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Taungsday.
Vader: For you, the day Darth Vader killed your parents was the single most important day of your live. For me it was Tuesday.
Yup, that “L” is big as hell.
imagine going to a bar after work and freaking darth vader uses you as a projectile and a shield against space pirates
Her:Monster!You killed my father!
Vader: Yes, yes, I killed your father. I killed the people who raised me too and you don't see me whining about it.
"Vader stood unfazed taking a moment to think of a good roast. And then he drop it."
Perfection❤
1:14 I absolutely love vaders temporary saber, it's hilt is one my favorites I've ever seen, if not my absolute favorite.
Chanath: I AM CHANATH CHa...I am Chanath cha. I will avenge my parents.
Lord Vader: who are you again? 🗿
(absolutely based sigma chad)
Theres always such hype around weapons the sith left behind but they either end up destroyed or convienently misplaced. Sad we never get to really see any of them really be used. But I suppose it makes sense since alot of them are literally solar system destroying level weapons most times.
“YOU KILLED MY PARENTS!”
Vader: Lmao, **inhales deeply** I heard that before.
Credit to the orphans, the acid plan did work on Vader and it's a smart idea to use his Saber block against him
That comic was crap writing, Vader would never call anyone a "coward" he would just kill them, and I am sure that 1 a-wing taking out 1 SSD is a far bigger "L" .
6:26 Vader: *And I'm not a rapper*
I wish the worst character in star wars hiatory, Reva suffered an L as big as this.
I would’ve forgiven the entire kenobi show if Vader decapitated her annoying ass in episode 5
@@omarbaba9892 I'm confident she would've survived it.
Seems like anakin never lost his humor
I am actually surprise Vader let her go after killed her parent yet still kept his promise of sparing her...
Also surprising Vader actually took time to listen her story and sort of pity that she wasted her lifetime for nothing ...
First: It’s not because of the promise, it’s only because he not cared.
Second: It’s because he loves to roast others, seriously, Disney Vader is a savage, when he know that he will win, he will crush not only the body, but also the mind and soul of his enemies, because yeah…
He is a bad guy.
“You took, everything from m-“
“NUH UH!”
They majorly botched an assassination attempt on someone who wasn't even their intended target, and she has the galls to seek "revenge"... Not really surprised it ended the way it did
She might have died happier if she knew how badly Vader fucked up his life too.
We need a Darth Vader series of his many adventures.
PS: i still don't think Maul should have died. He should have become a villain for Luke after the fall of the Empire..
what kinda acid was used in that acid attack against vader?
cause if a normal acid they can get in the star wars verse can do so much to vader that he NEEDS to reatreat to get rid of it, all them vader vs xeno discussions might have fresh meat for their talks
5:16
Vader had an Adam Smasher “Who the *fuck* are you” moment
“You killed my family!”
“Do you have the slightest idea on how little that narrows it down?”
Lord Vader learned the art of trolling from the very best. ❤
maybe if they lay trap on the beach, retreat with everyone alive when vader was swimming and leave a "got ya" note, vader will actually remember her.
Vader's Lightsaber: breaks
Vader: Not again! Obi-Wan is gonna kill me!
Chanath: You killed my parents!
Vader: Please take a ticket and join the queue
Very cool video the lore master
Do we call him Mr the master, or just lore?
Vader has some of the hardest one liners in the entire franchise I swear to fuck- “you are dead. I am your death.” 🔥🔥
But omfg- the “I already forgot your name.” LEGEND 😂😂😭😭
The virgin chanath cha that has taken an oath to not take revenge but does it anyway
Vs
The chad darth vader who completely forgot about what he did
Lol Chanath is just a better version of Reva.
Vader: What did you expected? To come here and shout "My name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father. Prepare to die! And you would kill me like in a movie?"
Darth Vader roast was so brutal, i am surprised she didn't ignite on the spot.
The beginning that is not Darth Vader's lightsaver it looks nothing like the one in the movies it looks closely to Count Dooku lightsaver For that reason, the book is not Canon It never happened in the Star Wars universe
Shes probably still alive, given how non lethal lightsabers are now in the Disney era.
Lore Master please post more often. 😢
Chanath Cha: *Gives backstory*
