      What I got out of all that was her parents fucked around and very much found out. And definitely a bit short on some "executive functioning ability" parents passed crap genes onto thier child which cranked it up a notch. Probably figured if you really pushed the fucking around part it would somehow avoid that whole find out part aaaaand nope, lotta nope.
      Like a big part of growing up and mental maturity is realizing just because you loved your parents doesn't mean they weren't stupid it was ENTIRELY their own fault that not only they died but took the lives of a bunch of "innocent" people with them. Fuck I sure as hell wouldn't want ANYONE knowing the legendary level of fuck ups my parents were. Instead of pulling her big girl pants up accepting shit and moving on she went full retard.

      For someone not preparing something like C4... she did well against Vader. 😎👏
      Tormenting him with something like acid and actively inflicting great pain on him is more than 98% of all his enemies ever did to him.
      Force-users and Jedi died more fruitlessly than her. Unlucky though that Vader is a masochistic personality of Anakin, who in turn takes great joy from torturing itself with the life of Vader to begin with, as punishment for his crime of failing to safe Padme.

    • @justincooper5189
      @justincooper5189 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      No, it makes Luke kicking Vader's ass look that much more fake. Sorry, Vader Going down that easily after fighting and winning against dooku, an entire planet of robots running amok, traitors in the empire, Galen Merrick , and all the other opponents he's faced? Yeah highly unlikely that Luke would stand a chance against him. It makes me think that Vader wasn't so dark as he was deceptive. He may have been dark, but knew that Palestine was responsible for the death of his wife, and was waiting for the chance to strike him down. Luke was that chance and was also Vader's full redemption. He knew he couldn't hide anywhere in the galaxy once palpatine died, so he let Luke win the fight so he could get in position to kill him, then , since he knew of the force lightning that the emperor was in control of, he knew he would use it and it could kill him as well. So when he got his chance, he took it. And that is why Luke looked like such a badass.

    • @tandava-089
      @tandava-089 ปีที่แล้ว +51

      @@justincooper5189I always took it as Vader let Luke win, not because he knew it would work, but because he loved his son, he was tired, and he wanted Luke to live, one way or another. What he (and the emperor) didn't count on was Luke being able to to resist and rejecting the emperor.
      Vader has been toying with him. The whole fight before Luke took the upper hand, which only happened when he gave into his anger.
      One thing people fail to appreciate is the relationship between the emperor and Vader.
      The emperor had always been trying to get Vader to give up his goodness and give in to his evil, something Vader never did. The emperor was constantly disappointed in Vader and his effectiveness as it hinges around this very thing. Many times, unsatisfied with Vader's abilities, the emperor tried to kill him, but every time Anakin rises above, proving himself worthy for a little longer, but seldom going about it the way the emperor hoped and often accomplishing the task in a way which made the emperor continue to see Vader as irreplaceable, but also not providing the outcome the emperor had anticipated or desired.
      Additionally what made the emperor SOOO GOATed was his ability to conceal himself, something he was better at than anyone, even Valkorion. He was able to totally conceal himself from the Jedi council.
      It makes it all that much more poetic that Vader through this entire time has to master this exact thing as any time he showed any weakness or empathy or compassion, the emperor would torture it out of him, trying to break that part of him (totally in vain)
      By the end of roj, Vader for years had been burying himself, hiding his deepest thoughts and feelings and ambitions, and having watched the greatest master of this art for decades before even becoming Vader.
      Vader was the only person Palpatine would let his guard down near or 'trust', and Vader was the only person who had any chance of concealing himself and his true thoughts feelings and intentions from the emperor at all.
      Vader being who he was exactly put the emperor at ease in a way no one else could or would have, and Vader being who he was was the only person who could use that to finally deal with him....
      The subtleties of all of these things are too absolutely perfect, and vastly vastly understated and underappreciated...imho

    Vader's comment was actually a very acidic form of advice if you think about it. While he was taunting her, no one could speak with that much insight about what she's done and gone through than someone who's been their themselves. His comment could almost be directed at himself because on an unconscious level, in canon at least, Vader realizes his sacrifices and becoming what he became were all for nothing. He basically told her that revenge trapped her in a prison. A prison he knows all too well.

      @tandava-089 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      😆 if he hadn't been hard headed, obi would have won, Vader wouldn't have ever been born, and ultimately, the emperor never would have died.
      Also, obi-wan has the physical high ground, but morally the Jedi were failures, factually traitors, and technically speaking sure what Anakin had been doing as Vader was surely evil... But it was also morally justified and right(and even necessary)
      The Jedi on the other hand had repeatedly betrayed their duties over and over again, including their responsibility to be there to help shape and guide the chosen one... Something they failed at and Sideous did not.
      Remember, even before Sideous, the republic and the Jedi were already both totally corrupt.
      So, physically obi-wan had the high ground, while morally and technically Sideous and Anakin had always stayed loyal both to their responsibilities and obligations, and to their commitments
      Something that wasn't true about the Jedi

      Problem with that strategy is Vader can live through the force without his suit, more than long enough to kill you. Probably making him mad by messing up his life support turns his sion-like dark side up to max. When his suit breaks he just uses the force to make up for whatever is broken, so unless you can finish the job, hurting him just makes him take you seriously and more angry(kinda akin to pissing off the hulk :-p )

    • @rmartinson19
      @rmartinson19 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      He was always a little mercurial. His reactions and decisions depended heavily on his mood. For example in Empire Strikes back, we see him choke out anybody and everybody who makes a mistake or fails in their mission, even if it wasn't their fault. But then when Vader is preoccupied after his encounter with Luke on Bespin, he completely ignores Piett's admission of failure even though it was much more egregious than some of the ones he'd already killed people over.
      I would guess that he was either similarly preoccupied or in a decent mood after defeating her parents, having a fun battle and speeder-chase, and uncovering a plot against him from within the Imperial hierarchy, that he simply put her out of his mind as irrelevant and moved on.

    In my opinion, the moment where she started caring about the safety of her family more than she cares about her hatred of Vader was a W bigger than all her other L's. Even though Vader ruined her life, she was able to make her own one, getting a new family of her own, confronting the man that killed her first family, and ultimately came to the realization that her family, and the bonds that she developed with them, was more important than the loss that another person can cause her. She may not have gotten what she wanted, but she got what she NEEDED. I see that as a W.

    Tbh, given the extensive stories they gave Vader in the comics (he got 3 self-titled comic series, for Force's sake), ANYONE trying to take him down will always be humiliated losers; whether they're fellow Imperials, bounty hunters, or even rebels. We know how Vader's story ends in Return of the Jedi, it's amusing to see all of these people thought they had a chance against him at all when they are not Luke. When they started doing Crimson Dawn stories and had Qi'ra declaring war against the Sith/Empire, I know she'll miserably fail.

    Then again, Vader is a hypocrite when push comes to shove. He's a Sith who puts his desires over anyone else's. He will manipulate and abuse other people but hates it when he is manipulated or abused. All the more reason and justification of amazing more power, so he can use that power to control other people while making sure no one can control him.

So this kid grew up to become a powerful outlaw and so the time came. He started to research Jedi and Sith Mythology, and said research took him to discover a ancient artifact that aloud people to see visions of the past. Our protagonist hope to use said artifact to discover who, Vader is and what could possibly make him tick in order to defeat him. Not only did our protagonist discover everything about Vader being Anakin but how Palpatine manipulated Anakin from achieving his destiny. Through this revelation our protagonist is moved by this tragic story, and swore to help Vader reclaim his destiny by helping Luke achieve his destiny. That would be a interesting story. 😉
