Headshots On a Pure White Background | The Longer Story

In this video, however, we have included a lot more content from that same episode for those who wish to digest it.
In short, we have a specific clients who require that we photograph headshots against a pure white background, so it's certainly helpful to know how to go about doing so. Although I am using a 4 light setup here, I completely understand that great results can also be achieved using only two (or three etc). That's what makes photography awesome...so many ways to go about creating any type of image. Experiment until you find the one that works best for you!
Bottom line is that achieving a pure white background shouldn't be difficult. Learning to pay attention to a few key things will help get you more comfortable and save you time in post.

What’s the approximate distance of the backdrop from the subject ?

Ideally, I always try to have my subject a minimum of 9-10 feet away with this setup. I believe in this case, she is about 11-12 feet away.
