    **Note: Yes, I am aware the leg on the C-Stand was placed wrong. That is OKAY. I knew that, I adjusted for it, and no one got hurt in the making of this video or session :) lol.
    Unlike my last Headshot video, this one includes the whole process from start to finish.
    In this video, you get a deep dive into what my process is when setting up for mobile headshots. If my clients can't meet me at the studio, I go to them. For this photoshoot, I met the client where they were hosting a meeting. I provide a step by step visual guide as to how to setup for headshots using my 1 Light headshot setup headshot.
    I also go in depth as to how to pose and interact with your headshot subject.
    Stay tuned for Part 2: Editing the headshot (step by step tutorial)
    Watch the second part to this video where I edit a headshot from this session. I will be showing step by step on my editing style

    Use the longest foot from the c-stand to be aligned in the direction of the arm and softbox.

    Nice job. However your next shoot make sure you have the softbox over the larger leg of the c-stand.

    Hair is something I always struggle with.
    Flyaways especially. I typically ask women to try and pat their hair down or if it’s really bad a touch of hair spray.
    I also like the idea of hair in back for side closest to you, and back for far.
    Little things that really elevate your final image
    Thanks for sharing!

    • @shootwithray
      @shootwithray  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Thank you for the compliment and for watching the video. Means alot to me. - The software on the tablet is called IE (Imaging Edge) and it is Sonys review/shoot software. Sync the camera via Bluetooth for an INSTANT transfer of a low res jpeg to review with the client. Not sure what Canon uses, but for Nikon I've always used Snapbridge.

    Good morning Ray from Brazil, your work is very good but I have a doubt about the configuration you used, isn't there a risk of the reflection from the glasses being marked? I mean the reflection appears on the lenses? Hugs and good work.

    • @shootwithray
      @shootwithray  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you so much! and no not necessarily. I’ve worked a lot with people with glasses. This does not cause reflections. Some glasses have anti glare so simply adjust the positioning of the light to avoid glare. Gracias chao 🤗

    Hi Ray...that's really nice. Thank you. One question. What's the advantage of having the light and octa above the subject's head as opposed to the 45 degree angle in front, that I normally see?

    • @shootwithray
      @shootwithray  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Sorry I never saw this comment - I like to light it this way because the light is softly hiting the subject and also reflecting on the reflector at the same time. Which darkens the backdrop for me creating almost a grey background that I can change in post
