- basic description on how i changed my windshield washer reservoir bottle. the tank should be similar to all w163 chassis? if i am correct. i think the ml55 is even more tighter. but no experience with that chassis myself. i am thinking the xenon headlights will tighten up the space there.
over all took me 45 minutes to an hour. only cause i didn't know how to do it. if i had to do it now, i am thinking it can easily be a 10 minute job.
my last car was a 1998 ml320 which had the same problem. sold it right before i got a chance to fix it. got another chance to own another ml, neglected... but shows potential. i expect the ml320 and ml430 to be the same setup also.
check and see if your tank matches my part number.
Your video was extremely helpful... even down to listing the socket sizes. Taking out the headlight was much easier than I thought. I would not have attempted it without your video. Thanks!

Awesome man i just did it but why did you need to move the E box?
i didn't remove it totally... just so i can tilt it slightly. for my attempt, even with the cross member i just needed alittle more space to get it in. i tried for a few hours trying to get that tank in. finally thought it would help out if someone needed it and could see the whole process before tempting. it really wasn't too bad, may be some cars will be able to get it in with out too much need for wiggle room.
it was an awesome video. but what i did is bend in the metal corner that obstructs the bottle just behind the headlight. its like mercedes extended the size of the joinning just to mess with us.
