      @MalcolmGill-d4y hey Mal, thanks very much mate.
      One of the highlights was the cold beer you gave me when we got back from Craigs hut.. mate that hit the spot!
      Better luck fishing next time (to us both)

    WOW….what a complete contrast to ever changing moods of the 90 mile….Was great to see so much water at Bonnie Doon / Eildon…. I would have been comatose after that pub meal…holly hector! We are certainly blessed in Victoria and generally Australia with so much diverse accessible beauty at our fingertips. Craigs Hut was magnificent. Thanks for sharing Steve.

    After thought - in Tassie, rivers like the one near the caravan park, fish best in the still of the night - fresh bait, small surface lures (slowly retrieved) or a fly like a black cork beetle (simple but deadly)..

    • @SteveOutside
      @SteveOutside  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @franksaunders6534 the guy across from us did a few sessions with fresh bait.. did no good.
      I think too many people swim in the river right here.. kids splashing around all day.
      I'd say night fishing would be the go.

    Variety is the spice of life , enjoyed your trip up into the VHC Steve . I thought you were keen trying to catch a fish from the caravan park but was certainly worth a try , freshwater fish can be over rated . As the saying goes the worst tasting saltwater fish is better than the best tasting freshwater fish 😂. Great to see you and PK out and about mate .

      @HLsab thanks Luke, totally agree mate. Salt water fish wins.
