That jeep is a bloody beast
Good to see you in our neck of the wood Reuben!
2 mins in and lovin Reuben’s laugh, miss it on 24/7
Thanks for your support @Al_Pollock
Good to see Ruebon recognises how great Jeeps are. I watched a video a little while ago where he called a JL a JK. Now he has a JT he understands.
My JL Rubicon is the most capable 4x4 I've ever owned.
rubicon, 4.1, t case, twin locked, std. downside, fit & weld all suspension steering brkts, with thicker steel ones,, available on line.. do not fit bigger than 35,s. lengthen front & rear w/base,,it helps.. if it has alloy knuckles, replace with cast iron.. they break..& the b/joints are weak.. get a slip yoke eliminator.. ill keep my s/duty, thanks..&, 75 highboy..
Love mine too can't stop thinking about driving it lol
Love the Reubencon, mate. Greetings from Oregon, USA. When you're ready to run some of the world's greatest sand dunes, come see us. Cheers.
Sounds great! @NWGlobalPremier Thanks!
Lovin that Gladiator mate! Looks good and sounds great!
I love it!
That jeep needs the 392 to match Reuben's personality. Great video!
That would be cool! Cheers!
Great to see the Vic High Country getting a bit of a plug I don't reckon you see it often enough represented, so much fun so many tracks beautiful part of the world. 👍
Don't let the fact they are wheeling giant heavily modified trucks turn you off though, I did both Billy Goats and Blue Rag recently with a convoy consisting of a 100 Series, 79 Series, 60 Series, Dmax, 2x Colorado's, Ford Everest(stock) and my Isuzu MUX and we accomplished both tracks without too much fuss. Honestly the sketchiest thing was all the nuts belting around in their Y62's like they where Colin McRae in a 22B.
We agree. It is amazing! Thanks for watching :)
Good seeing you running your JT.... Being you Ruben I'm not surprised crunching R&P if it's lower from 4:10 /4:56 to small teeth on pinion gear and ring gears. My Comanche has 3:54 great for roads use, TJ Unlimited is 3:73 not bad with 31-33s XJ running 4:56 locked w 33s-35s great for rocks JT 4:10 not doing to badly unless towing a ton or more behind it. Yeah, I might have a Jeep thing..... solid axles, less to break.
Love to see Reuben and his positive attitude on the screen.
Is it just me? In the beginning at 3:30 while the guys are talking on the radio, it seems the Jeep is the quietest car. Or is it just the mic?
They’re the quiet achievers….
REUBEN is the real SHOW STOPPER , love you guys from BHARAT (india)
Thanks for following along! :)
Loving the show guy's, keep them coming .
It's a refreshing change.
Thanks for the feedback! We are you glad you enjoyed it :)
Reuben you’re doing more for Jeep’s rep than Jeep Australia! Love your rig man!
Thanks @Owl566 . We appreciate that. Thank you for your support as well. :)
Currently watching and loving this episode! Just living vicariously through you lads until i can get time off one day to do it myself in the old HDJ79!
Unreal episode BTW, if you boys love a morning coffee that isn’t crap get onto Grounded Drops, they ,make coffee brew bags and they are Aussie dudes and ladies also, yeooww
epic video. Matt & Rueben could be brothers. Impressed by the Jeep. Keep it coming!
Thanks! Will do!
Hi Reuben, that Jeep is great. Hope you get time to come up to Ravenshoe area and I'm keen to show you around some great tracks with my Jeep Cherokee. Great video.
Sounds great! Thanks @tubbytub2990 . Cheers!
Reuben, the jeep gladiator looks amazing, however it felt kinda incomplete without a roof rack. You know in order to mount a light bar (KC 6pro round lights match with the jeep round headlights), maxtrax mount, shovels instead of mounting them all with the RTT on the canopy. I'm just sharing my humble opinion, mate.
Well noted, @laloolhouvum1634 . Thank you for sharing that. :)
Love the episode, and your laugh Reuben. Keep laughing..😂
We appreciate that. Thanks for your support @user-zimikIN ! :)
Screw the 79 and the Jeep. GET A GU!
YESSSS.
Thank god for that, the Jeep broke, for a minute there I thought they had built a reliable one!
😂
Love the Jeep but that's funny as, Bob! Thanks for watching, mate!
hey Reuben thanks for taking me down memory lane i did that stuff over 30 years ago in my first 4wd a FJ 45 a 4 ltr puddle jumper Thanks again. i now live in Fiji now days wish i was back there sometimes
That's awesome! Hope you can visit again some time. :) Thanks, mate!
Lovely Ep gents in some Specky country, Have I missed something how is that Jeep Legal with its tyres sticking out like that,
Mad content fellas. Loving the vids, and some pretty awesome rigs. Good stuff 👍🏼
Glad you like them! Cheers mate!
Great video Rueben keep them coming!
I have a gladiator the same as yours..
Was a toyota man myself for quite awhile but the gladiator is a beast off road not much stops it
👍👌
Right on! Cheers mate!
The Jeep is looking awesome!
Cheers!
Lovin these episodes ya madman keep it up 🤙
Glad to hear it! Cheers!
Keep them coming, Ruben
Would be awesome to come along on one or more of your trips with my young fella.
Dreams are free, right
If you drive the Jeep sensibly it would be so much better.
😁
Hope you LOVE the Gladiator - they are super awesome, super capable vehicles. We've been travelling Aus full time in our 1966 Gladiator and wouldn't change a thing. Would be awesome to see you and the Jeep at Jeep Jamboree 2023 😁😁
We do love the Gladiator, mate. It's a great rig. Glad you're living the dream! Happy travels to you, @jeepinoz ! :)
Thanks for the content DMW crew. cheers
You are welcome! Thanks for watching :) - Part 2 to is to come. :)
25mins in. At the river crossing part.
3minutes of actual 4x4n, 22min of “plugs” .
I’m sticking round til the end tho. See what the tracks bring during different weatherly conditions seen in the past
Good to see the pizza oven in action. What temperature worked best? How many bases did you burn? Love the episode. Good bunch of guys and vehicles.
Keep on keepin it real mate good stuff 🍻
Thanks, will do!
love the Victorian high country. Bucket List trip for myself and my lovely lady. Jeeps are made for this type of 4wheeling.
Vic's absolutely beautiful :)
So good to watch real 4x4 , real assessments of off road equipment and not just talking up people who supply them like the others, bought myself a uniden uhf on recommendation of others and it is shit, but now they recommend gme because they get them for free, same as dominator winches, now it’s Rumva, keep it honest Rueben you are a real judge of what works in this industry, 👍
Thanks @robertpowell7353 :) 👍
Great video love the banter
Cheers Legend! Part 2 will be released in the upcoming weeks. :)
Just awesome
I've done billygoats in FJ40 back 25 years ago, and then conquered in my current 1990s Hilux 2.8 IFS SR5, no lockers.
Fantastic ..... the Jeep is a beast
It is an absolute ripper!
Jeep Looks great Steve
Someone should teach green car how to drive. Seriously that was painful. The Jeep LOOKS awesome.
Lol just some mate playing in the mud!
Reuben you’ll just have to put stronger front and rear axle housings in the Jeep!
haha! Maybe!
Cracking location. Might need to make a trip to Vic in my little zook.
Go for it! You'll love it there. :)
Good review. Both great engines. Not a big difference in cost between the v6 and biturbo when looking at the XLT (entry level model for the v6). The other consideration is longevity - how will the more highly stressed 2L stack up long term when used for towing, compared to the bigger v6 - which will do it much easier.
Very impressed with mine so far. Keep up the great vids 👍
Great point, @Perth4WDandCamping ! That's what we'll have to see then over time. :) Thanks mate!
i need to pause my work so i can watch this
Thanks @graemeprocter3739. Hope it was worth it! 🙏
@@dirtymuddyweekends always us, thanks for all the content, keep up the good work
awesome reuben this is wonderful
I'm glad you like it :)
You should of know better. 37s and a super charger on the jl,jt jeeps don't go well together with 5.13 diff gears. Every jeep owner would of been watching this knowing you would blow the pinion...4.88 is the biggest any one should go with 37's and a supercharger. With the way you drive the 4.10 stock gears should of been left in.
Thanks for watching! Plenty of learnings to be had with the Jeep. We cannot wait!
100% correct should've used 4.56 no lower than 4.88. it probably would suit him better without the supercharger because it's only taking away from offroad ability not adding to it.
Oi! Get back to work and do my GVM upgrade!!! 😂😂. Love your work you bloody lunatic.
😂 Deal! The team's on it. Your upgrade's in good hands. :) Thanks, Michael!
Hi bud from South Africa , love your shows and all those awesome rigs
I wonder what it would be like taking one of those through SA , trying to figure out how to run something here to teach people how to off-road
Keep up the good work
I drive a 2005 3lt D4d Toyota Hilux Raider with factory diff lock standard 15” tyres , I love testing the limits of my bukkie against 4x4 rigs and most times they shocked as to what I can do
Driving this type of rig it’s is very technical and a loud right foot sometimes
Ps if ever you getting rid of an old rig please sponsor it my way
Thank you @martincordner9611
Blessed to have some amazing places in my own backyard.
Anyone know where the wobbly bridge they were walking on can be found? Would love to use it in a photoshoot
Every bloody time no matter what type of vehicle 😅😂😊
Missed Reubens humour.😂😂
dana 44 diffs, good for 36,s. needs 1 ton diffs, s/duty..
BIG STRONG TOUGH PORTA LOO
cracking ep
Cheers! Lots more to come!
Will we be seeing the Y62 in near future? May we see more of the Y62, is it down somewhere?
Yes, more for the Y62 for sure. Hopefully soon. Thanks, mate!
if your going to hit a water splash like hulk did put the snorkel head backward as it doesn't suck in as much water
hahahaha it's a jeep they break factory pinions a lot!
Great advice. Thanks, @mrfordfairmont!🙏
jeep diffs are d30 & 35. they break.. a d44 is as good as a 9'' ford. fitted to corvettes..commodores.. if you watch u.s. vids,, you learn more.. a d44 is recomended for 35'' tyres.. no bigger.. plus, should not, be fitted to rear, like the gladiator.. a d60, should,,be in rear.. the v8 version, gets d60 diffs front rear.. best to fit ford s/duty diffs, they dont break.. i drive ford.. cos it works.. a ford 205 t.case will stand 400 hp.. yanks build, or used to, build, vehicles to the biggest engine power, ford 460, 440 hp. 1970.. only difference, is the input shaft.. japs build vehicle to drive out the factory.. ill keep my 1975 high boy, cut to swb, 5sp, 4w disc, twin locked. h/d . d44 front. d60 rear.. for sale on gtree.white..
Hey Reuben! Where can we get this highfields burger?
Hope you went up Mt. Margerate track, no easy line the hard line
Good challenge for the 'Reubencon'! :) Thanks mate!
I think that track will beat the Jeep
Gday from Tassie maté
G'day @leonshearing ! :)
Go Reubs weapons
The 200s are really not that good offroad are they? Lots money for not much capability
Couldn't agree more mate
Has anyone told you that you kind of look like larry the cable guy
Send a picture! :)
I wish I could lol
I sent it to your Instagram
Jeeps
Until you own a Jeep, you just don't understand. With bugger all mods they can go almost anywhere.
Don't forget a catch can!!!
there's always one
JEEP
yes , id,, buy a jeep,,no problems,, till i woke up at 7,00....... in a cold sweet...
lol! Good one, Harry! :)
Why own a Jeep. I guess it was bad luck after all
While they are not for everyone, there is a lot to like. That is the great things about the vehicles in Australia, there is lots of choice :)
I enjoy the Video but it would be much better if there was less Laughing it's really unnecessary
but,,,wasnt the jeep funny...??..
Glad you enjoyed the video. We do love a good chuckle but we appreciate the feedback. Thanks for watching, Johnny! :) Stay tuned for the next one.
