Dearest Jennifer, these homemaker videos always make me cry. They are so beautiful and wholesome. I’ve been a homemaker for 36 years. My 4 girls are all grown up. When I see them doing these same things in their own home, I realise more than ever what a true investment in time it was. I’ll never regret it!
Amazing. I just watched a video of a woman watering her plants, baking bread, sweeping a floor, making tea and doing laundry - and I enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you for another lovely video that encourages me to appreciate the everyday parts of my life.

I discovered totally by accident that a 3/4 sleeve shirtwaist dress and an apron is by far the most comfortable and convenient thing to wear while doing housework.

Mothers with young children if you have the opportunity to stay with them and homeschool, count your blessings every day. Sometimes I felt those days would never end, but they do all too quickly...and now I can hardly look at photographs of those times without a lump in my throat.
I will be going back to work this week after 6weeks of furlough. You inspired me throughout this time at home to enjoy the mundane. It was my husband and I, we don’t have kids. I was able to make the best of it and learned to enjoy and to LOVE my home. Now I go back to work and want to continue to be enamored with my home. Clean it and care for it out of love not just as a shore. It’s all about perspective. Thank you

What a beautiful video. I wish I could have children someday. I love being a homemaker, cooking from scratch everyday. I’ve only been married for almost 4 years. It was overwhelming at first, but everyday I try to get better by actually enjoying to do all the work. It’s truly a blessing to be able to take care of a home.

This resonates with me 100%. I thrive on the same ethos and beliefs as you and I would adore the chance to be a homemaker full time. For now I embrace it every single day, when I'm at home and when I have time off. This is one of those weeks, and I'm delighted to have nothing but time to dedicate to my spouse, family and home. Thank you for such a good video! As I was watching your video I kept thinking what you do and what I do is I make the mundane aspects of keeping a home lovely. The first thing I do every morning is to dress in a manner that when I see my reflection I’m happy about what I see. I also look at taking care of my home as beautifying my home and then it doesn’t seem like a chore 100% of the time… Only 15 to 20% of the time does it seem like a chore… Ha ha. There’s so many things to do to make the mundane lovely, such as lighting a candle, playing music in the background and playing while you work, whenever I can dance my way through my housekeeping.

One of the most poignant aspects of this video is the sound of your beloved children talking and laughing in the background at certain points. So inspiring! I’ve binge watched your last three videos while taking my morning coffee before my two year old wakes up. I feel so calm and relaxed. I also have been wearing headbands while growing out a pixie cut during this quarantine. It’s very unfortunate looking at the moment, ha. I love seeing your laughter with your children. I'm watching this and feeling so sad. Not in a bad way. I'm just in the roughest first trimester right now and have been so useless around the house. I'm just keeping me and my daughter alive and relying on my husband to pick up any of the slack from what I normally can do. I miss being able to run my house and cook and make beauty -- but right now I stand up and I get dizzy and have to sit back down.
I know the first trimester isn't forever... ready for some beautiful nesting.

Oh, Jennifer, I am sure it is always an encouragement when one of us tells you how much you inspire and bless and encourage us, but the comment from your Japanese fan must warm your heart in a special way! It warmed my heart and I am just a fellow fan! Your work is definitely not in vain! This was a delightful video. Your garden has come a long way! I love the arbor~and the potatoes, oh how well they are doing. I have a funny story. I live in Central Oregon where one cannot really have much success planting anything until June, unless one has a green house. Anyway, one day I found a small, red potato in my pantry that had some "eyes" on it and one onion that was sprouting green at the top. On a whim, I decided to stick them into the ground randomly in my flower bed. To my surprise and delight, leaves sprouted above where I planted the potato and both both of the vegetables I planted in my mini garden are growing well. :) Your children are delightful, just like you! Hello, I am a single mum and I work part time. When I am at work, I give it my all and when I at home, I give it even more. It's just me and my son and sometimes it feels very sad for me as I wanted to cook great meals for my husband and 3 kids. However, it turned out to be just me and my son. I give him all of me and our home life. I also love great food and baking and ensuring we have a clean,neat and organized home. Even though you have a husband and four kids which I wanted but don't have, watching your videos brings me some relief and lifts my loneliness and longing. I feel prouder of myself when seeing you as you confirm to me that also staying at home and not working lots and lots of hours, it is the right thing for my son. Thank you. Lol I am not as elegant as you...! But I have that elegance within me too. Thank you again.

I like these videos - probably because I have a similar lifestyle and passions. I like how you use the typewriter sort of text as it reminds me of my childhood; we always had a typewriter in the house and I first learned typing skills on it. I still like to watch “murder she wrote” because of that typewriter in the intro.

@Tereza Balazs Jennifer has done a few videos about how she keeps healthy, my favorite of which is, Snacking is so Not Chic (or something to that effect). Perhaps she will do some follow up, but it basically comes down to good routines, just like everything in the chic life :) This is something I really need to work on!
