- A little corvette update. I know, we would rather but doing an on track update, but here we are. Sadly, things did not go our way, but we are on the up from here.

On the positive side, you will have perfect visibility because the intake won't stick out the hood!
Here in Finland one drift team jammed a R5P7 nascar engine in a S13 nissan that had the intake stick out and the driver said many times that he couldn't see the clipping points :D
That truck drove past my work and I wondered who owned it, I'm in love with it
Form is cool and all but your company slays performance. Going to be amazing when done!!!!
8 to 1 looked like a nightmare to work on, which is counterproductive for a competitive car. Cool for views though.
Have you guys test fit any regular c6 headers with that new column shaft location?
Can you talk about the air jacks and the FD rule on them. Are you allowed to have them on but only use at certain times?
Would love to see this car at Limerock!
So are the old 8-1 headers for sale?
Were 8 into 1 radial fire? I believe that's how they are supposed to work
This
I was going to comment on the primary sizing until I ran the numbers and figured that your 2" off the head is good for around 1000hp, which you've later almost got to with nitrous. So good job on having the first right size primary I've seen on TH-cam. It's still a bit big without the nitrous though.
What's the choke size on the secondary => x-pipe merge though? 3.5 seems a bit big to be the choke for less than Pro-stock kind of numbers, and I can see that there is still a small choke area.
P.S. I've seen (and simulated) 1.5" off the head work well in a stepped 4-2-1 on a 480hp engine. That one had a 2.25" final choke. Seems like 4-2-1 can use a smaller choke than 4-1 for reasons involving gas expansion at the start of the collector.
Heat Shield Products has starter shields and sleeves.
Always tough to have to shift direction after being so committed to the 8-1 but facts are facts and this is going to be a better setup for competition anyway. New setup looks beautiful as well! 🤌
Long tubes into boom tubes.
Anything isn’t good enough.
8-1 for sale?!
Tanner Foust made an 8 into 1 work in his drift taxi, I believe you guys could make it work at some point.
Might be different heads/cams
No its pretty well known that they lose power, the geometry of an 8-1 collector is not good, large increace in area. For a myriad of reasons the tri Y headers make more torque and horsepower.
Shit happens. But the most disappointing thing is that you didn't put out a proper vid with that 8-1 on it. I am disappoint.
Definitely would hit Long Beach in the s14 to make a statement and not rush to get comfortable in a chassis you aren’t comfortable with.
Called it
FDF in formula D??!!! wow !!
Do you want to confirm the 8 to 1 theory with CFD simulation ? Reach out to me I will help
3D scan of the headers would work for you?
Don't forget that 8-1 need to be sequentially radially fired in either a clockwise or counter-clockwise pattern concurrent with the firing order.
Sell me those 8-1s 🙏
Big power means extra parts.
I did tell you the 8 into 1 was a bad idea
It seems like those unequal length y pipes are gonna make it sound like a boring typical v8, not like a nascar.
They have to be equal length
Best racecar rule.. k.i.s.s. keep it stupid simple. Or keep it simple stupid lol
Great for SEMA not for track
Bring YSOB BACK!
If I had a machine shop I would have moved your order to the front. The fact that I would have turn your pistons out in record time would have cause you to brag on a video about it. That would have made up for any business lost. All the orders I would have gotten from him telling viewers what shop did the work. Fast too. Businesses don’t know how to win anymore. Glad I have one and understand what to do to win customer’s.
I get what you're saying, but you never prioritise anyone over the daily bread and butter customers. Early start or overtime to sort out a special customer for rep- for sure! But on the 9-5 it's first in first served always
