Had about 6 of these now. Best car to flip along with the reliability to not let you down or hopefully not surprise you. I've got a 5 door black move up I decided to keep for myself. Went and put the high up heated seats in with electric door mirrors with the upgraded sound pack and DAB and 75hp ECU. Dual window switches on the driver side with 17 inch polygon wheels with led lights and rear Face-lift bumper and lights. Havent insured it yet as have been doing it up for the past 6 months. Hopefully soon can finally drive it
i dont really use these to flip, but i struggle sellign them once im done lol, i usually sell them after a year or 20k miles or so, and like to get another colour every time! never had a 75hp one, but would like one or even a TSI one next!
Recently got hold of a Seat Mii which is essentially an Up in all but name. Mine is the FR-Line so you get go-faster stripes, fatter tyres and stiffer suspension - basically a similar recipe to the '60s Mini Cooper but with 5-doors, a decent boot and air con. Plus its pretty good fun to throw about on a twisty back road like a road-legal go-kart with its willing engine, sharp steering and well set-up suspension. It only has 75hp but really that just means you gun it round the bends like you're playing Mario Kart
I know what you mean about people buying flashy cars and then not using them, I drive the speed limit in my Up, and when on dual carriageway I'm overtaking "better" cars constantly. Done a couple of things to my black up, added wind deflectors, put black 3M tape over top of headlight to make the lights look slightly smaller, angled for the "evil eye" look. De-badged all but the front VW, changed gearstick to a chrome ball one, added roof-rack and after market armrest into the middle cupholder. Just today, deleted my resonator because of your video, not noticing a massive difference, but I don't push as many revs as you. Definitely a capable little car, had for 5 years and no issues, I live in Scotland and I drive up to the highlands semi regularly, actually perfect for single track roads and nipping in and out of passing places.
Literally!! Driving at the speed limit and always overtaking these flash cars!! Wow youve done a few tasteful upgrades then. And yeah with the intake resonator delete, unless youre doing higher in the rev range you wont notice any difference which is always good as means can still be sensible. And thats cool. Theres some nice roads up there. We did a road trip from bristol to south Scotland, and the roads were amazing. Loads of scenic views too Thanks for watching!
I was in a Seat Mii the other day, driving around the lanes in Cornwall. The guys in the massive suvs were the slowest. The fastest vehicle around was the 60hp Seat. Fantastic car. I've got Goodyear Vector 2s on it and they are not wearing at all!
Ahaha literally man. These cars are perfect and the other higher quality / luxury cars must be embarrassed that theyre getting overtaken by a small little city car. And thats what i mean, literally no running costs on these cars. Theyre brilliant!!
We also have 60hp 5door 2018 (facelift) pretty base model, but has surprisingly great hill assist up and down, and really great car no issues at all...consumption if anyone wonders 4.5l at 90kmh and 130kmh same, city around 6-7
Really cool video! Just subbed. I have a Move Up! 2014 which I am going to begin modding in the next couple of weeks, including lowering springs, remap (80bhp with pops and bang on a switch 😅), new wheels/tyres, and a bunch of other things. I also have a track Honda Civic EP3 Type R! I think you do too... Anyway, as I mentioned, keep up the TH-cam grind, this was a really great and interesting video 👍
wow nice, id love another modified up, might be on the cards soon!! and yesss, i did have an ep3 i used to track @19hmxd on instagram, i just sold it and now have an fn2!
Great vid, I was thinks of getting a used UP!. I’ve heard cam belts are very expensive to change and are needed every 5 years. What’s your opinion of this?. Thanks again ATB.
Hi, what can I do to get rid of the coolant warning lights dash. Coolant is full. Please let me know what I should be doing. Car: VW High Up 2012 automatic petrol
i havnt driven a GTI no. however yeah 115 doesnt sound exciting but definitely a lot more than my 59bhp up! hahaha. but yeah you can get the 90bhp up tsi, and with a few bolt on upgrades like exhaist and intake and a remap you can take it to 140bhp. theres a few up TSI and GTI pushing 150-155bhp out there aswell! so imo technically, id much rather a modified Up! TSI for half the money of the GTI!
It is a very underestmated city car. i've had my 2014 Move UP! for 10yrs and im not going to give it up (no pun intended). If you want to keep it for a long time run it with Shell V power or Esso Synergy because Supermarket fuel is dirty and will block the intank filter which is expensive fix. Cheap insurance and running cost - put Michelin CrossClimate tyres on it and your good for winter- watch them BMW's slide!.
@@SpikeXtreme haha yess in the winter with some good winter tyres this puts all the more ‘superior’ rwd cars to shame!! And same ive had them for around 8 years or so now (different ones) and yeah honestly cant fault them
Interesting video. I have to say that, wearing flip flops while driving, is a No, No. Very dangerous footwear in an Emergency and could land you in trouble, legally, if you were in an accident.

Great insight into the up, I have the gti version of this and it’s the most fun I’ve had driving a small car they are brilliant.
100% they are awesome little cars, id love a TSI / GTI soon, would love to make a little track project of one again
" Yeah my cars abit of a mess" Is a understatement! Love it.

how has it been so far?
thanks, how you finding your new car(assuming youve now bought it?!)

Piece of cake. Every 10 years or 160k miles. They're a Teflon belt not rubber so they last way way longer. Easy cheap job to do aswell.
ive heard cam belts are faily easy on these cars, my brothers done one before and said its something he would do again unlike on some cars

hi, im not sure, is the thermostat / waterpump okay? could be the coolant level sensor thats playing up?
Have you driven the up gti? Some people say it’s fast but personally 115 BHP seems a bit too stingy.. personally that car should’ve been given 150BP
