That man makes me think of what I go through whenever I'm in a line no matter what store or bank I'm in. If I pick the shortest line, the customer in front of me has a problem. I'm so good at picking the wrong line to be in. That's why I thought that this was a hilarious show! 😅😅

It's more difficult to make this type of prank nowadays, because most of this type of counter used numbering system for a turn and they provided waiting chair.

That's exactly why when I get in line at the grocery store or wherever, i stick with that line no matter what.

The best part of the show was when they would reveal to the people being pranked that they were on "Candid Camera" towards the end. Cutting the clip for those who aren't familiar with the show, are left to wonder. It was a great show.

I remember this-and occasionally it pops into my mind when I’m in my local bank. So funny! I have always wondered how many people were involved in this perfect gag. The main guy is certainly able to hear everything spoken between the cashiers and other customers. Was EVERYONE in on it? How did they keep from laughing out loud?

in 1968 i worked on a main post office counter in UK, 10 clerks and at xmas we each had lines of waiting people all day right out the door into the street almost.....if one of us had a lunch break we had to organise complete lines of people to move over interchanging with existing lines by other clerks, otherwise nobody had a break all day, basically you had to stand on a chair and shout instructions across the room..........

This was me in a parking lot yesterday. Pedestrians, people backing out, pedestrians behind the people backing out, spotting a space but having it taken before I get there, waiting for a space only to give up because they were taking forever... finally got a space but then when I'm the pedestrian I had to wait for the cars to pass.
This brings back painful memories from my memory bank.😉😁

One of my all-time favorites
When I was young I used to work at a drugstore & heard this guy behind the customer I was helping say every time he gets on a line it closes. When the guy in front of him left & he stepped up to pay I told him I was closed. He almost lost it! I started laughing & said I was joking. I cant remember if he was mad or thought it was funny

Yeah, I like how the commissaries on military bases often handle the lines. What they do is have one big line. Then when a register is ready for the next customer a sign lights up and the next customer goes to that line. They have the 10 items or less lines as well. However, their main lines are so organized that they usually go just as fast.
I really miss the show today still I can't believe the PAX network solid the show from 38 seasons (1948 - 2004). according to Wikipedia on May 5, 2004.
