I swear the lists you do far surpasses any other BS list these influencers are doing. Your lists are way more informative, and anyone who watches it can actually see that you do these videos deep down from your heart and love for perfumery! Please never ever stop this awesome content, and thanks for all you do!
For anyone on the fence about whether to go for Lagerfeld Classic or Lagerfeld Cologne, I have both and Classic is a solid reformulation--just a little more feminine leaning and bright (a difference perfectly captured by its synthetic orange color compared to the brown of the Cologne). And for anyone worried about Epic Man's notorious performance issues (issues, by the way, that were arising soon after its original release), with sitting (and perhaps with some sort of development on my own end and taking care not to let it nose blind me) the newer batches have opened up. So perhaps give it a chance before selling.
YESS it could only be Rams who would mention my special occasion cold weather favorite, Ebene de Balmain. Most stunning, masculine leather chypre for me. Prices are mental of course, so I only break out my bottle 1-2 times a year ; ) Ramsey, your knowledge and taste are 2nd to none. Greetings from Frankfurt (Subtle nudge: Now pls take a look at my Pierre Bourdon favorite, Joop Nightflight, for hidden gems in summer list, when the time comes around. Many thanks)
Great list Ram 💪🏼 I think you’re just used to winning with these lists. Keep winning my friend🤝 Going to be wearing Lagerfeld Cologne tomorrow as you reminded me of it. Really a perfect Winter scent ❄️
Yay, you got a bottle of Ebene!!! That 75ml with atomizer is the best iteration. I bought a 250 ml on Ebay, paid a ton of money, and I wouldn't say it's " turned", in the sense that is ruined, but it lost that amazing , blast of class and beauty opening, best opening in the game in my opinion ( I don't understand how people praise openings like Tygar or L'Immensite, which for me are boring, generic citruses). So going back to the old bottle that I got, I think it got " thickened", woodier, denser. The dry down is still that amazing leather that you are describing. I also have a much fresher, well preserved version, which I personally love it in the summer, I wore it once in Hawaii, on Waikiki Beach, in a luxury hotel lobby, I was literally feeling like radiating class. But , because of the dry down, works perfectly in the winter. A 11 out of 10 for me, a unicorn, one of the top 15 best fragrances of all time
Hey Ramsey, just wanted to let you know that Serge Lutens will no longer produce the Gratte-Ciel bottles, all fragrances in the Gratte-Ciel collection will be re-released in the bell jar collection.
Great video Ram! SL are discontinuing the whole Gratte Ciel range in 2025. Read somewhere that all of them are moving to bell jars. I still haven't tried Borneo yet. Is it close to Psychadelique? Borneo has cacao listed as a note and psychadelique gives of a chocolate/cacao vibe although no cacao is listed. I love psychadelique so i guess Borneo would be up my alley as well.
I ran through my Balenciaga PH years ago and my vintage Lagerfeld cologne still has about an ounce left decanted into a spray bottle (I had gotten the splash 8 oz(?) bottle and used it for years) I'm sad the newest formulation is just a shadow of its former self, but I still like it. I was thinking of adding a small amount of oakmoss absolute to a Pinaud aftershave and layering that over the new Lagerfeld - or vice-versa to get some approximation of the old Lagerfeld scent vibe.....
Yooo when did u get arso? I'm happy for u (and envy) that u own this banger of a fragrance. I have tried victrix and audace from profumum roma lately and i love them. Victrix smells exactly like walking outside on a rainy day smelling the wet leaves
You will like it Jonah... when I bash these niche houses for their 500 dollar juice...once you get your nose on vintage Z-14 for 8 dollars you will see why
hey, thanks for the awesome list. i was going to get Profumum Roma Patchouly, after having really liked FB Sticky Fingers. Would you say Serge Lutens Bornéo 1834 is in the same direction as Patchouly? Which would you put on top?
Well these aren't full fragrance reviews it's a list this time... unless it strikes me like in Opus IX I don't usually talk about day or night as I wear one fragrance all day so whatever my day-time fragrance is, that is also my night time fragrance
I would search out vintage Borneo 1834 if I could find it at less than prohibitive prices. I don't care about the bottles but the original version is quite a bit richer and somewhat stronger than current. But the same could be said about most Serge Lutens these days. The rich, decadent feeling is what it's all about for many of the classics. Current Borneo is still very good, of course, but not quite what it once was.
I would love for your channel to only review vintage fragrances😅😅. It is incredible the passion you bring to each review and the enjoyment you have for the forgotten perfumery that no one talks about anymore, which for me is the best because I am also a great lover of classic fragrances, fragrances that smell like a man. Already today what the market offers does not satisfy me especially because everything is sweet and that aroma profile is not for me, respecting the tastes of the others. Greetings!!
Lmao i remember balenciaga PH going for literally 20 30 bucks at rack stores many years ago. They literally had trouble giving it away...i paid 80 bucks a year or so ago...for a measley 1oz bottle that i always want to wear but cant 😂
Bought Lagerfeld Classic for 18 EUR yesterday. I miss the fragrance 90s. A refreshing discourse from today's blue and bubblegummy crap! But I guess the modern audience won't appreciate it!
Ram, you should review Bortnikoff Oud Hindi, it’s a return to form and absolutely fantastic IMO, an even better version of Lao Oud. Also Oud Kinam from this line is pretty dope

Wow 3 years. Still the best my man, by a long shot. Long live Channel Ram!
Thanks so much for the support 🙏

Great list Ramsey! Thanks 🙏🏼
Thank you for the support Lee
This was so great and comforting to watch. Thanks Ramsay!
Thanks for watching & taking the time to comment 🙂
I really like this video format, I would personally enjoy seeing you doing a similar list every season.
🤌🤌🤌
Thanks for the feedback
I love both Anteus and Shalimar ! You’re so spot on with your reviews it’s so interesting.
Thank you my friend! 🤌🤌🤌

Thank you my friend... nightflight is on the never ending to sniff list 🐽
@@RamseytheRam it is practically impossible to get in the US.. but there are ways ;)
Dude where the hell did you find Joop Nightflight (where you don’t have to sell a kidney?!?)
Ohhhhhhhh that is amazing !!! This kind of content I am looking forward to 🥰🖤
Great Ram is back 💪🏼 Let’s Make Vintage Fragrances Great Again 💪🏼
Let's do it! 😂💪🐏
Love the shirt, great list man
Thanks so much for the support 🔥
I would love to get my hands on Aramis Tobacco Reserve.
One of my favorite tobacco creations ever
If you are from EU i could send you sample
Samesies.
Wow - This is the first time I've ever watched one of your videos. And the first fragrance you talk about is my late father’s signature
That's awesome thanks so much for sharing
Great list Ramsey, enjoyed thoroughly 🔥👍🏻👍🏻
I appreciate you very much 🙏
Thank you for this absolutely fantastic list. I have some of these perfumes and find them extraordinary.
Appreciate you Andy 💪🐏
Thanks mate! Throwing in abbreviated adds: Witness, (every Beaufort but perhaps Fathom V), Clandestine Laboratories Ashes, Chiron, Assam, Piguet Casbah, (every Naomi Goodsir), LVNEAs, Dawn Spencer Hurwitz Minuit, Olympic Orchids (almost everything but maybe Kiluea?), JSP Burvuu and MY UNICORN VAPOROCINDRO, and Prin Eshu. Banger of a tobacco.
I’ll stop meow.
😻
As always we'll done 😊
Great list Ram 💪🏼 I think you’re just used to winning with these lists. Keep winning my friend🤝
Going to be wearing Lagerfeld Cologne tomorrow as you reminded me of it.

Love the powdery aspect with tobacco ...it's so good

It is everything you say and more I am shocked at how good it is 💪🐏
Solid Rams, something for everyone nicely done ✅💪👊🤛
💪🐏
I only know the "regular" Shalimar bottle. Which of the 20 flankers would you recommend? :)
The extrait!

I know exactly what you mean....the vintage just had that umph factor
Nice, however: How did Hugo Boss no 1 not make the list? Or the original green Polo Ralph Lauren?
I usually think of those as year round fragrances for me for some reason
Thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
@@RamseytheRam yeah, I do wear Hugo Boss no 1 all year round but Polo I somehow think of as a fall/winter fragrance, probably due to the pine notes.
That is a great list
Thanks so much for watching 👀

I have tried victrix and audace from profumum roma lately and i love them.

Yes it's a brand I really rate...had arso for about 18 to 24 months now ...fantastic sfuff
Picked up z14 vintage 75 ml for 8 dollars yesterday. If its to liking that is gonna be a steal.
If not to liking... Message me 😂
Perhaps I will

Givenchy Gentleman from 74 is my top...but those two are some of the best patch in the game...can't go wrong with either 🙂
Which bottle of Shalimar do you own? Is there a vintage version? I’m looking to buy myself a bottle soon.
I have many vintage bottles...they are all amazing...check with Anooj at Enchanteperfumes if you want to hunt down a vintage
Winter list is my favorite! Time to bring out our heavy hitters.😁 Cheers! 🐏
Thanks for watching & commenting, you are spot on! 👍💪🐏
PS: would go bananas to have you review multiple formulations of Shalimar in various decades.
Edit: and compare to Emeraude same timelines. 💃🏻🤘🏻
First I got to work up to just One Shalimar review...which I still don't have the intestinal fortitude for lol
Do you own Paco Rabanne pour homme I have the modern version never smelled the vintage
Yes I do...it is my father's signature scent
Looking forward to a summer list.
Summer will be here before you know it 💪🐏
Plus I think there are some old summer lists on the channel...go back through my old videos
Would you kindly consider suggesting which ones in your list work better for day and night wear? Reviews usually have this distinction as well.
Well these aren't full fragrance reviews it's a list this time... unless it strikes me like in Opus IX I don't usually talk about day or night as I wear one fragrance all day so whatever my day-time fragrance is, that is also my night time fragrance
Next 10 artisanal?👀
Sotd: Dior Homme Parfum
Cheers
Man most of the artisnal fragrances fit into a cold weather category... thanks for watching & commenting 🍻
@RamseytheRam yeah true, also interesting to do 10 artisanal for warmer weather💡
Great list. SOTD Celine Nightclubbing

@RamseytheRam it may make my top 30. I forgive Karl post humum for taking a chair from me at a VIP party. :) Any other Karl recommendable?
