lots of comments on twizy forums about excessive brake and disc wear , in some cases all round replacement discs and hubs required after 1200 miles. Cost of £800. This problem is the reason why I haven't bought one. Ive been lurking in the forums for a long time . Heart says I want one , head says crap design poor renault support ( their website says that the nearest place I can have a test drive is Jersey, Im in Cheshire) and large service bills. Id love to be persuaded that Im wrong.
I have just hit 4000 miles and the discs are fine, and the pads seem fine also. Pads are about £70 all round and easy to do. I agree the support from Renault is crap, but I dont think you really need it, the community knows more about them than Renault.
Thanks this was perfect and was able to complete the job myself. I used EBC Ultimax pads. Cheers
Glad it helped
Can you please tell me where you got the Stainless Steel Pistons from, cannot seem to find them anywhere. Thanks
The pistons on my Twizy are as standard from the factory, no upgrades added.
Is this the same protocol for the rear wheels too?
To be honest I forget, as its been a while since I did this now, and have since sold my Twizy, so I can't remember the rear brake setup.
