This is really neat, and scary given the lack of a pressure relief value.

Thanks! A better version that will be adjustable is in the works now. This one was kind of an exploration/experiment, I think it put off more heat when it was priming than when it was burning. There were some concerns about pressure when I built it and because the can was not designed to hold any, I did not allow any to build by not having a sealing gasket on the lid. Yes I did make the fuel jet.

Nice. I wish my Optimus would run on alcohol, but I guess gas needs twice as much oxygen as alcohol.
Also, I wonder if there is a basic difference between vapor pressure of the fuels?
Coleman fuel has a vapor pressure at 100C of about 4 kPa, and I think ethanol is about 200 P, or 50 times that, unless my units are messed up.
On your next iteration, can you mention what diameter nozzle you made, and how big the 3 air holes in the burner are? Any ideas for pot stands?

Excellent.. now you just need to make it adjustable like original.
do you think you might need a pressure safety valve? i know original has that as well.
did you make the brass tip where the fuel exits?

For some reason this sounds like a V1 rocket and about as Volatile looking.
Nice project.. We do like our Fire?

What kind of fuel did you put in it? Alcohol or gasoline?

is there any brass that you could use that's thinner? that door knob may be a tad thick. there is a possibility of that unit getting to hot for one, causing to much pressure to build up in the tank. this is also the same risk in using those silent burners on sveas. also I am not sure if it would run better or worse with the thicker brass burner. but at any rate I would advise adding a pressure release valve just in case
