Ahh, the good ol' days, when people would say shit on the phone and see what came back.
I grew up in Saskatchewan and didn't see anything but those party line wood boxes on the wall with a crank til I was seven and we moved to the big metropolis of Saskatoon.
Rumour mill will always have you living a much more interesting life than it actually is 🤦🏼♀️
The joys of dating in a small town. The hard part is trying to figure out whether the other person is distant enough a relation that your kids will turn out somewhat normal.

I use to love how people would shit talk saskatchewan when I told them that's where I was from, I would always agree with them just so they wouldn't get any ideas about moving there. That's how you keep the best kept secret a secret.
You could be like my husband and I... we met online then I started helping him on the ranch shortly after the second date, when I’m not working my vet tech job. I was helping run the rake and he was baling hay.... as we passed each other I kind of distracted him several different passes...you can imagine how... lol... if the moisture is right you can go all night...too many ways to insert sexual innuendos with working on the ranch.

Reckon you would be spoilt for choice with the contestants/applicants (provided a wide net is cast to include areas outside of the Rumour Mill vicinity). Picture it... handing out canola instead of a rose to the lucky ladies that progress to the next level, romantic moonlit strolls through bovine-filled pastures, cozy-ing up on the combine to the sweet musical stylings of Miss Terry Clark...

My goodness that brings back memories sir as my late father had 10 siblings and most were within spitting distance. I was related to nearly everyone.....
We used to take the special dates to the Venice House in Yorkton by the way, at least I wasn't everyone's cousin there either!
While I'm not sure how old BMA is, we mighta raced hot rods in Yorkton a few times by his and my vintage. :)
Lastly, I loved watching the gulls mousing behind the hay rake, that brings back a lot of fond memories too.
Thanks again for the trip down memory lane for a semi-old guy, stay well, good luck dating and lets hope the weather holds for harvest.

Having lived the early part of my life in small-town Ontario, I really appreciate this video. You can't sneeze in a small town without everybody knowing about it. I also remember the era of party lines with their series of long and short rings. There was no such thing as a private phone conversation. I really like this particular video because you mentioned Foam Lake. One of my friends was born there and lived there until she was in her twenties. She was happy to leave so that she could go out on a date without it being the talk of the town. I have heard so much about Foam Lake that I almost feel as if I have been there.
