So adorable!!!! I spray alcohol into my molds lightly, so batter runs into all the detail niches without air pockets, but yours did great and possibly with your slow moving recipe it isn't needed. I will have to try not using it next time. Sooooo cute! 👍💕
What I learned from Keely (Soy & Shea), if you spray the painted on mica with a little spray of alcohol, it keeps the mica in place so it doesn’t come off on your hands when packaging. The owls are too cute to smudge, and all your manpower doesn’t go to waste.
I LOVE this !!!! I have some fragrance oils that do this and LOVE the use of the owl molds. I have been using your Amazon shop when buying molds and other supplies, and I hope you have an owl mold there now. Thank you so much, Ellen !!
Good morning...so I've got most of my stuff to make some soap...with that said I have 2 of your recipes I'm going to try but they both have oil method. And now I know I've seen a recipe with aloe Vera instead of water and no milk, but for the life of me...I can't find it hahaha. With that said...could I use this recipe and instead of the water use aloe Vera? And instead of individual mold could I put this in a loaf mold? That doesn't matter right?🤷♀️ I got a very small loaf mold to start with hahaha. Just starting to get my feet wet with soap making. Thank you! Because of you, I finally feel confident in making soap. You are definitely an inspiration!
@@EllenRuthSoap How many molds did your 48 ounce total batch fill? How many Ounces of oils were needed for the batch? Is it possible for you to show a screen shot of the formulation used for these owls? Pretty please.
Hey Ellen! Great video as always😊 So..I have some Hempseed oil but it’s expired😔 Could I still use to make my soap or would it ruin the batch 🤔 Thanks so much! Love your work!🥰❤
Not enough salt. I make 48oz and always use 4 tsp. Still beautiful, though! You did right to give them time. I want to make a video, but am SO nervous about the nay-sayers!!
Beautiful creations ❤
Thank you so much 😊🦉

Beautiful soap as always! They look antique and too pretty to actually use… Love these classy little owls!

Okay, yes you can replace the water with aloe vera juice. and you can use a loaf mold too👍
@EllenRuthSoap ok thank you so much!!!! I greatly appreciate it! Wish me luck lol😁😜
Does it come off on your hands when it;s fresh? I've not had good luck painting with micas.
Not too bad, but if you spritz with alcohol it helps stick.
Hello gorgeous. How much batter does the molds hold? How did you know how much to make?
These little owls hold about 3 oz of batter. One way to figure it out is to put the mold on a scale and fill the cavity with water to see how much.

Honestly, I would use it in soap👍 Probably not in lotions or leave on products, but soap, yes❣️
Is there a video tutorial for making glycerin soap?
When you say "glycerin soap" are you meaning Melt and Pour?? I do have a couple of MP videos.
@@EllenRuthSoap No, I mean creat glycerin soap
How many ounces of soap does the owl soap end up being?
If you add the oils, lye solution, and additives you'll get the total volume 👍

Yes on the salt🤣 lesson learned. I would encourage you to make a video, I love watching other soapers do their craft❣️
5 commercials just to see this video …
Well, I hope you enjoyed the video😉
