Do not overlook Blaydes. The dude made massive improvements in his striking over the last few years. He's not the same sloppy heavyweight fighter he was before. He, together with Aspinall, are the only 2 fighters who're really well rounded in the game right now.

With the recent charges against Jon Jones the UFC should strip him of the belt and make this fight for the undisputed. Why the UFC wants someone as champion who drunkenly threatened and intimidated a woman who showed up to collect a drug test sample is honestly wild. Jon Jones is a disgrace to the UFC.

Blaydes head coach talking about taking Aspinall into deep waters when no one’s even gotten close yet, plus Blaydes is always there to be hit and if ngannou and pavlovich can put him away Tom definitely can and will.
Blades has been put to sleep how many times and Tom has been taken into the 2nd round how many times?

He's the size of Brock Lesnar without the Steroids. Besides his all around skills are way better than Lesnar also. Tom is the future of the Heavyweight division. I see him holding his belt for longer than anyone at heavy weight and actually giving Jones and Silva a run for the records they hold for title defenses.

If you deny that possiblity then your a Jones fanboy. Tom is all natural at 6'5" 265lbs and a better striker than Jones, his grappling is definitely on the level of Jones. Again he's the size of Lesnar with all the abilities that Jones possess. Bones should have stayed at light heavy weight, he's not a heavy weight. Just training he tears a pec muscle because he's not made to be fighting men that size. Curtis Blades is going to give Jones a real run for his money and I'll bet Blades wins the wrestling and striking, not to mention he's also naturally bigger than Jones without the help of PED's.

To me the main strategy for Aspinall should be to keep the fight standing as much as possible.
And for Blaydes the main strategy should be to grapple him to whereever he wants the fight to be as much as possible.
With that being said those two are well rounded fighters, so they can win in other ways.
Like Tom but I really want Curtis to get his hand raised.

It's actually ridiculous how Jon Jones is the only thing holding Tom back from already being an active Champion and the UFC has been okay with that.. Jon Jones is good but he's NEVER put on consistent dominant performances how TOM ASPINALL HAS! The UFC should be FULLY behind Tom, not holding him back.. Regardless Tom will push thru & stay optimistic thru anything

The interim title means nothing. It was world number 2 vs world number 5 at 10 days notice. It should have been world number 2 vs world number 3 with a proper camp so both could claim its a legitimate title. You do realise Tom has only beaten 1 fighter who was ranked top 5 at the time, and that was that fight, at 10 days notice. Its not really a legitimate record to claim you are the champ lol

I said this interim title means nothing. It was thrown together by Dana dangling the carrot of a fake belt to save a PPV from having no headline at 10 days notice.
And if winning that fight, over then world number 2 (who has since lost his next fight), is your only win against a world top 5 (at the time), its not the pedigree to be called the champ.
Now beating Blaydes starts to change things. Thats 2 top 5 wins. Thats a much stronger position to call out Jones

Blaydes is probably the toughest test but can't see Tom losing this one despite Dana's best efforts to punish Tom with the time of the fight , probably because of the embarrassment Tom caused him with the JJ / Stipe debacle.

Tom wouldn't get taken down by jailton more than 3 times. Tom has black belt BJJ and 20+ years of experience in BJJ training to counter Jon's wrestling.

If tom beats Curtis this weekend he’ll have fought and beaten everyone in the top 5 who’s willing to fight him. The jones fight could be on the table afterwards but I don’t think it will happen as I believe jon will take his ball and go home( the there was no competition narrative will be impossible to sell at this point but I digress). So who do you match him up with afterwards? I think Alex Pereira. He’s one or two wins away from clearing out the LHW division and if he then took 6 months to a year off to gain proper muscle for the heavyweight division he and tom could sell huge on ppv. I still don’t believe that it’s a favourable match up for Alex but he’d accept the challenge unlike some people
