Wow, that's exciting. I would definitely sample some of that vein
and even some of that other rock (I think its conglomerate) and see if its shedding gold at all. If there is no gold in the quartz you should head upstream (if you can) and see if you can pinpoint where the trace is coming from.

@@harrysprospectingchannel873 legend sounds good! I think there is small bits but I found an old riverbed somewhere today and I'm too excited to suss that out! Hopefully that goes alright :)

Yes ,it's a Conglomerate bedrock , maybe the ocean floor once formed by wave activity re cemented Matrix then lifted through volcanic activity . Were those pieces you had Pyrite in them or Mica specks , both are shiny in rock . I have found many quartz veins in creeks that have nothing in them , but that's not to say they all don't , but mostly the old timers saw it all first 🤣 the buggers . Is that your farm property you're on ? I would test pan along upstream . Cheers Buddy 👍👍 Ripp into it 👌

Thanks for that mate and wow I never thought it could have been an ocean but more likely volcanic activity id imagine :) and thanks mate I'll have a look tomorrow, and yeah on my parents farm :) Soo damn lucky hahaha

Nice conglomerate, nice smokey as well. Maybe go up stream and do a test, then go further and test. Really need a concentrator spot. Find a patch where the broken conglomerate has fractured and broken down into fine bits. Could be good flour gold in it. Good luck buddy, go hard

@@andypandyAU.6669 thanks for the advice mate! I wasn't sure if it would be holding anything but looks pretty damn good haha, and yeah I'll have some test pans up and downstream to track it down tomorrow after I hit this old riverbed I found! Pretty keen to see what it's holding, rolled river rocks and iron etc too so I'm pretty keen

@@CrippleFossickingAustaliaCFA test, test, test. An old temporary electric fence as a probe, push it down it the river bed or gravels to test for deep spots. You can also attach a magnet with hose clamps to spot the ironstone layers, magnetic black sand will also stick to it! Good luck

    Try turning your phone sideways.
Then your TH-cam tapes will fill the screen instead of being so small.
