@@ProjectSimRacing Going to build one. I am going to go with the departedreality build. I ordered the servo and controller a little while ago and ordered the thornos motion controller to do initial testing. From there I will order 5 more servo's and then fabricate the frame so we can only go up from here :) I used to have a 3DOF and was spoiled. I sold it to apply that money to cnc mill. I have all of the gear to make this work. It was your channel that gave me the inspiration again and I thank you for that. You have an incredible setup. I think the best I have ever seen thus far. Bravo, well done!

Watching you is getting me back into sim racing. And this time I have a big budget going into it so I kinda wanna do a grass roots project and thinking about something like this instead of VR
@abuhajaar2533, that's fantastic to hear! Getting back into sim racing with a solid budget opens up so many possibilities! 🙂
There are pros and cons with both VR and triple screens. It depends on whats more important to you.
I prefer triple screens because I like to be able to interact with my gear around me. I also find the image quality to be alot higher with good quality TVs. And that might change in a couple of years. I also get motion sickness from VR, and that's because I need at least 100 to 120fps to not get motion sickness.. And the last pro for triples is that you get a much wider field of view.
Remember, it's all about creating a setup that feels right for you and enhances your enjoyment of the game. If you need any tips or suggestions for your project, feel free to ask. @ProjectSimRacing that 4090 really is a beast, triple 4k with such high graphic settings and still get 120fps its just something unbelievable 😂
@ruilopes4598 oh I wish I could run them at 4k,but not even the 4090 can do that. So I run them at 2k instead. But still a lot of pixels! 7680x1440 to be exact 😄

@@ProjectSimRacing it mainly comes down to the reflections on surfaces, like the dash and banners on the gp part of the track, mine looks dull and lifeless. Also the sharpness of objects in the distance. On 3x 4k that's mega impressive!!!

@@ProjectSimRacing I know it's a typo, but the "...simply me drinking" part made me laugh. I thought that might be the case. I know when I watch my friends drive on my rig I was surprised at how much they're bouncing around just from the FFB. I don't have motion, just a set and pedals bass shakers. Was looking at getting a 3dof base but then "the economy" happened and everything is twice as much, so yeah...
@jasongreen4396 hahaha🤣🤣🤣 Yes, that was a typo, blame it on the phone 😝😄 Absolutely, we do move around quite a bit while driving! And with those Slip-Angle Isolators, every movement is significantly amplified. I'd definitely recommend them if you're waiting to invest in a full motion system. Plus, you can just get the isolators if you already have the bass shakers - that's what I did 😊

Hi, I noticed you're using Fanatec McLaren GT3 steering wheel, am I right? Why do you choose this steering wheel over e. g. Formula V2.5, which is considered by some to be a better wheel? I also have the Formula V2.5 for when I race F1 cars. The F1 wheel is a fantastic high-quality wheel, but its smaller diameter (270mm compared to 300mm for the McLaren) makes it less ideal for GT2/GT3/GT4 cars. It can feel a bit overwhelming with the force feedback at times. If you're looking for versatility and can invest in two wheels, starting with the high-quality Formula V2.5 and adding the McLaren later is a great choice. But if you prefer to start with one that’s more suited to a variety of vehicles right out of the box, the McLaren is excellent. Hope that helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask🙌

what did you do to get your gopro to work or how are you using it? i been fighting with my gopro for a month and cant get nothing going. if i use it as webcam the video is delayed so sound is out of sync, so then i got the media mod for it and pc wont show the cam at all, i used to use a cheap $50 action cam and it works great but not the go-pro.
I have it mounted on a helmet and record directly on the GoPro 😉

I'm looking for a VR experience with a wider field of view, pixel-free visuals, and at least 120hz refresh rates to avoid any discomfort. So, it might be a few more years before I can recommended. But there are of course pros with VR as well😉

I actually use Fanalabs recommended settings for ACC and default in-game settings 🙂 Nothing else. As for assists I usually only habe some ABS on, like in this video. Nothing else. And I think ACC is the vest GT3/GT2 sim.

@reviewforthetube6485 most do run with TC on, so I'd recommend you start there. Amd if you feel brave, try turning it off😊 I feel that I'm faster without it. Plus I love to fight with the car😆

While I'd like to share and help, such information might not be as beneficial as it seems and could potentially lead to confusion due to the diverse hardware configurations out there.
@@ProjectSimRacingI know it's up to everyone's hardware and setup if the settings work out or not. But I'd like to know what is different in your settings because there is a notable difference. I'd try to make it work on my machine (that also isn't exactly low end).
@wullxz for this video, I had everything at max settings with DLSS on quality. But I did get the occasional stutter, so I had to fix that while editing my video😉

If you plan to only have one TV, then it should be good as long as you get an OLED TV. If you plan to run triples, then 65" will be way too big in my opinion..

I use this tablet amzn.to/3Og2ERK (but you can use any tablet or phone), and I run an app called SimHub 😊
If you were able to grab a strip of Ambi lights that shine the colours from the edges of the screen down onto your arms in the dark, and in any night races too, that would look fantastic.
That's a fantastic suggestion! I've actually implemented Ambi lights in my setup already 😉. The only hitch is that I need to use a secondary light source to ensure the steering wheel is visible, as the Ambi lights alone aren't quite enough to illuminate the wheel.

Yes, and it has one of the best ffb of any sim. But you need a good wheel to be able to feel that. Maybe I need some more time setting everything up. Before I used T300 wich felt nice, but its entry level and very limited. Tried my new DD+ , so far with some setup found on google it's undrivable. For comparison gt7 ffb feels very good.

Epic car control, i got some guestions too, first one: I also love to drive this map in beamng, but one thing is what I'm trying to get down is the fov.. I wonder if there are any mods to adjust the cockpit fov seperate to world fov or i know there is seat adjustment and tilt atleast🤔 I'm trying to make a more immersive view, any suggestions? The main goal is to know how to setup the fov to be realistic and the cockpit camera inside the vehicle. If it helps to know I have 1 2k 27 inch flat monitor, and 1 1080p 27inch curved. My main is the 1440p. I also have a 55 inch i believe lg tv, second guestion which one of those 3 I could have the best experience? I know the curvature could help, but the clarity of 2k would also, but also the size of the 55inch🗿, silly idea but I could combine them to have the 27's as like the side car windows/ side view💀💀💀 "The ultimate funky sim setup"🗣️

@@ProjectSimRacing hey, I'm asking mainly for beamng, but I will also learn and give assetto a shot! So both and I know that the monitor resolution and size also affects the view which is why I mentioned my monitors so you know what I'm working with. I've searched a bit on reddit on people's opinions and tried to adjust myself but I thought why not ask the master himself for advice to improve the look;) Because in my opinion your fov in your assetto and in that beamng video is spot on! Like I can't see the car steering wheel just the dash but still see the doors so the fov is not super zoomed in the car, and the world fov looks realistic aswell in your videos✨

As using monitors that are different sizes, I'm not sure how it works exactly since I've never tried that myself. So I hope he's instructions are helpful 😊
@@ProjectSimRacing thanks! That video will definitely be helpful if I setup a 3 monitor rig. I guess for now I'll keep looking and testing. Right now I use just 1 monitor so your 3 monitor fov setting may look wrong for me:P Update on the tmx wheel, the stock gear ratio with stock motor is a bit slow for drifting so I 3d printed 2 gears with faster gear ratio, now the wheel flies:D the ffb isn't mindblowing even at stock but even after this mod it's still there to give some feel ^-^, I added 1 fan to the psu to keep it cool and later upgrade the motor cooling fan, it helps if it helps so might aswell, next thing is to use a lathe to make an aluminum wheel shaft to replace the plastic, I would imagine the metal would transfer the micro feedback more efficiently and feel sturdier;) and mean while waiting on the rest of the bearings, then make the pedals. When modding there are alot of little factors you can include and adapt! it definitely helps with DIY that I graduated in metal work🙏

I played on this map. I have a 3090FE video card, Samsung 9 Series TV. All settings are set to epic. Why does it look worse than Forza Motorsport? 🤔 I understand that there are people who fell in love with ACC over time as a rial sim. But to me, even cars sound better on FM. Maybe we'll return to Formula1 on 386 computers soon? :) In any case, it looks great in your video review. Better than it actually is 👊🏻
It's very possible PSR is using mods to beautify the visuals.
