There's a real need for a beginner series using Ornatrix 3DS Max/Maya. I can't say how much I want to use this software but can't because there is no consistency with either language, narration or video editing to feel like I could get to grips with it. I start to get worried when I see documentation on the website that isn't updated, with sections at least 4 years old, It makes me think I should be looking for an updated workflow. Tailor yourself around the Substance Academy series or IToo software tutorials. They always have the same narrator, language, variety of difficultly levels and editing style with no jump cuts. Honestly if you improve the accessibility to the software with better learning tools you'll find a far greater audience.
I think this need a beginner tutorial, how to setup the hair from the beginning, this is like already halfway, doesn't help me want to purchase without proper tutorial. hope more coming for maya!
The following playlist shows the whole creation process of a short haircut and facial hair. Is beginner friendly and every step is explained: th-cam.com/video/FUl635gFQVg/w-d-xo.html

Ephere Thanks will check it out, been struggling with a long hairstyle using Xgen and it’s such a mess both Core & IGS are incomplete systems & they take forever to make something decent. Is Ornatrix for Maya slow when sculpting individual hairs in the 100k range?

@@Ephere 360p and work is already progressing well. So, sorry but no.
Is this better than Xgen Interactive?
Shocked there are no full professional tutorials only bits and pieces of this plugin.

Can you do the same thing again in 3dsmax??I really want to know how to do it in 3dsmax.
why not add clump brush as default?
i really need that clump brush in 3ds max :(
The clump brush is experimental. It was included as an example of how to write custom brushes for Ornatrix using Python.
@@Babakkhoramdin The brush is also available in 3ds Max.
With enough user requests the developers will consider including this brush as default. But I think it needs further development.
Awesome. Now gimme the c4d one >:(
