I'm actually the combination of the four of them
-I feel shy and anxious(fast heart rate and shaking)especially when I'm the center of attraction
-Daydreaming or getting lost in thought was one of my habits
-I am also not good at interacting on new people but feel comfortable with some people I'm close with
-I also don't like change, it makes me feel sick for an unknown reason
    Well guess I'm a certified introvert🤷

I'm a restrained and definitely thinking introvert. I could sit in a dark room by myself for hours just analyzing how my life experiences have shaped me into the person I am and constantly thinking. My partner willl often say I think too much. I go to bed but end up thinking for hours until I finally pass out. Therapists used to tell me I have a lot of personal insight/introspection. Also, I can be spontaneous with myself but mostly I have to have a plan to do anything because I have to physically and (most importantly) mentally prepare myself for interacting with the world. Being an introvert can be exhausting but I will say finding other introverts is the best thing because we understand when we cancel plans last minute or don't respond to a message for days at a time. iykyk

It's so good for an introvert to know themselves and secondly, it's even better for others around an introvert cuz it's so important to know who are you dealing with, I'm in a third world country and my parents literally think I'm " retarded" cuz I don't enjoy being among ppl all day, so I guess these kinda vids really help people's awareness about introverts and I do appreciate it a lot♥️🙏

These 4 types became the stages of my life. When I was very young I was a restrained introvert. But as I got into elementary and high school I made friends and became the shy introvert. I like to spend time with them but oftentimes I want to get back to my own private world aka my room. By the time I was in college I became the thinking introvert. I became more observant of my environment and developed a deeper understanding of how things work. Now that I'm working and have met different personalities I've become the social introvert. I get along with coworkers at parties or other gatherings but after a long day it would require me to recharge. So yeah.

I find myself being a mix between an anxious and a restrained introvert. I plan every social event weeks or even months ahead- if something comes up to fast I despise it and usually will come up with an excuse not to go- and throughout the event I focus less on enjoying my time and more meticulously planning everything so that is goes perfectly right. If even the slightest thing goes wrong, I associate the problem with the event and will likely avoid it and regret attempting it for years to come.

I feel that I have changed what type I am throughout my life. As a child I was very much a thinking introvert, I didn’t mind socializing but I preferred my own little world. As I grew into a teenager I turned into an anxious introvert. I always over analyzed everything I did and replayed social interactions in my head till it made me sick. In a way I was still a bit of a thinking introvert, because my automatic self defense was to escape back into my own little world again. As a young Adult I slowed edged out of the anxious stage and turned into a restrained Introvert. If I had knowledge in advance of social events I would love going, but sudden invites and sudden change terrified me. Now as I creep closer to the beginning of being a full fledged adult (30), I am much more outgoing in social groups (more so when I am among my friends or people with the same interests) and most people are surprised to find out I’m and introvert.

I relate to the thinking, shy and restrained introvert. It is a mixture of all three but I mostly relate to the thinking and restrained introvert. I open up to a very few select of people. I have have never really opened up to friends, I like my privacy and am a firm believer in "people do not need to know everything about you". I try to open up just enough for people to see the surface. I also spend most of the time in my own head, day dreaming. Sometimes it's in the middle of a conversation. But I have been trying to figure out ways to break that habit.

  • @KaylaPearlCPNinja

I’ve been more of a combination of a thinking introvert and a social introvert. It drives me nuts when people tell me that I am an ambivert or an extrovert. Like I honestly need and even crave my alone time and I can stimulate myself better when I am alone.
Especially because I grew up with struggles with my social skills, it’s been very frustrating for me to make friends, so I’ve become very content with being by myself and sometimes I end up being restrained. I have spastic hemiplegia cerebral palsy, ADHD, anxiety, and persistent depressive disorder, which causes me to struggle with making strong friendships and be able to understand social behaviors sometimes. I always say that I am “selectively social” and I choose my friends wisely.

  • @TotalD4
    @TotalD4 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

I relate to being an restrained Introvert, I tend to fall into a routine, I'm not big on change and when something does have to change it always feels exhausting to make those changes and like a challenge. I don't just go out someplace for no reason I always feel like I need a reason / plan to go somewhere and treat it like a check list and my reward is to simply escape back home to the place I feel most comfortable. Though I also share some aspects of the social introvert since I have a routine of meeting up with those who are considered my closest friends and more comfortably interact / share / and make conversation with them, mind you a little aggressively at times I assume because it's 1 time a week I meet with them, and if I had to phase the feeling as an analogy I'd say it like a being in a desert and that 1 social day opportunity is the first glass of water I've seen in weeks. Though If our scheduled hang outs are canceled I do feel disappointed but just fall back into my home habits and hope for the best the next week.

I used to get so excited about what I was talking about that I’d start a sentence and then before I’d finish, my thoughts would shift to the next idea and I’d start a new sentence, and pretty soon what I was saying was a bunch of half sentences, half ideas and no one knew what I was saying. Not sure if this is your problem, but I solved it by making sure I completed every sentence/point I intended to make, and then pausing before I moved on to my next sentence or point.

I can relate to all of these types. I used to be an anxious introvert due to bullying when I was in high school (I learned to fight back and regained my confidence). But forced myself to be more social. I'm more like a Thinking Introvert that can be social if needed, I still feel anxious sometimes and gets drained in a social setting if I stayed too long.
Because of COVID-19, I became more comfortable inside my home than the outside and started avoiding events and social gatherings that I used to attend with my friends. I'm also an empath and can't stand negativity, toxicity and drama. I usually avoid negative or toxic people (specially drama enjoyers and creators) whenever I can. Drama queens are the reason why I became single for 4 years now, I hate them.

I'm the Thinking, Anxious & Restrained Introvert. But I also have anxiety/panic disorder & depression. I have to work 10x harder than the average person just to get out the door & be able to live amongst others. Funny thing is, I like interacting & conversing with others. I like to learn new, helpful, interesting & useful things. I especially like hearing about others lives. Because it helps me get to know them better & I genuinely care about their story. And if I am able to make a new friend, it helps to know how I am able to be there whenever they may need someone. Of course, it would be nice if they did the same. So far, none have. Although there were a surprising sporadic few I have encountered, mostly I just get used & abandoned. I'm learning more about boundaries though & making sure to take care of myself. Or else I won't be able to do anything at all. That's me though.

I love this! I'm social and thinking introvert with a little bit of restrained. I hate last minute invitations and do not like to be rushed 🙅🏾‍♀️ If something is planned then I can go out and socialize but then need to disappear into my own world and recharge for a couple weeks 🛌🏾

Thinking and restrained come closest to me, really.
Although the restrained(and anxious) one can be from bad experiences, and at some point brain damage(when i was 11) making me unable to deal with stress too long.
So from nature (like i was as a kid) i'd be a thinking one... nerd :P
Questioning everything was annoying to the grownups, and barely had friends, and was bullied by a guy who wasn't raised well by his aggressive father... and his mother didn't seem to care enough, i think.
I'm not like your regular nerdy guys, i'm a mix of nerd and tough guy, as both parents gave me some of their better sides, too.
And my father said i was a lot like his father, who was way more reserved, honest(not always possible, though), logical(mostly this for me), and very genuine.
But hearing from my father about this man, makes me realize that man would've been liked way more than i am nowadays.
I had to become stronger to not fall into abyss mentally, as people were not honest with me, and when i became more mature, i realized not taht many are honest and open, while a nerdy guy like myself needs that, to learn about people, so i'd know who to avoid and how to be with better people than those i'd avoid.
Sorry, got carried away... happens often XD
This happens a lot, which is why i'm "daydreaming" according to others.
As kid i couldn't lie, and still bad at it, unless it's necessary, but still doesn't feel good.
Thinking about a lot related to the topic i'm typing about, thinking about how i wanna live in the future... and i can't control it much, it just happens as i breathe... very annoying when i come up with something at night.
And before i have another lifestory XD i'll stop typing now, haha!
Thanks for the video, once again.

For me, I'm actually a mix of all of them, I might have a lot of close friends, and seem like an extrovert, but I usually get really scared during events, even with close friends there, I usually keep to myself, drawing, or thinking of random stuff, sure I might get along with people, but it doesn't mean I want to, since I don't know much about them, it gets really awkward.

I'm a shy introvert and I would also describe myself as restrained, anxious and thinking. Social situations can make me anxious and drain my mind and it's something I have to live with the majority of the time to a degree. I also have a harder time to socialize with people. I use my creativity for my social media to balance that out by creating selfportraits and going on photosessions once in a while.

I really don't know what category I'd fall into. When I'm around people that always seem to talk about things that I don't really have much interest in, I'm rarely wanting to find something to say that fits their interests. Sometimes I'm just saying what's on my mind and it works, without necessarily getting a sense of a vibe to match ahead of time. I want to connect, I just hate feeling like I have to be inauthentic to do so. However, when I don't have to scramble for things to say, and other people have pretty much the same interests, experiences, etc. - I really enjoy socializing. I usually don't have spur of the moment hang outs and usually just chill by myself in my free time too. I think anxious and restrained make sense, or maybe I oscillate between the two. I have definitely been more of the thinking type in the past.

I'm usually a pretty even mix of social and thinking, especially since I found friends where I could just be myself. No judging and no being misunderstood.
We don't always have to have the same opinion or even need to understand the way the other one is, we can just accept that people are different and celebrate it. Since then, I absolutely also need to be social sometimes to recharge.
Saw this best under lockdown, after about 3 months of barely ever being social I felt like going insane. 😂
But I also need my time to think alone and need to really experience my feelings in order to get through the negative ones.
But lately I noticed that having less and less direct contact with my friends and having to work more with colleagues again let me be somewhat more restrained. I used to work alone in my company for about 2 years and I always were so happy to meet my friends or even new people in the right setting.
But now I crave to be alone for 2 days as soon as Friday roles in. 😅

Finally I can relate to something, I was so confused as to why I felt so sad living alone during quarantine since aren't introverts the happiest by themselves? .....I always love meeting new people and spending time with my closets friends yet I need my daily 'ME' time to feel complete? I am rambling but it feels nice knowing there are more people like me (social introvert)

Seem to be heavily 2 and 4 with a little of 3 and not a lot of 4. Like my routine and having things planned in advance, not spur of the moment. Ruminate on every social encounter I have and what I did wrong or could have done better. In a social setting will just sit quietly and be to myself for the most part unless someone calls on me.

Wow, I thought I was an ambivert but, I think now that I relate more to the social introvert. I really like interaction, but it tires me much if it's not between close friends, or almost one person at a time. I certainly need charging times too and I have a lot "lonely hobbies", but I appreciate them most when I exchange a couple of messages with friends while taking my time to get ready to get out in the world again.

I just need to know in advance. Other days I more cool with it. I think it depends on the day where I relate to any of these.

I am a little of all of these?
Social Introvert- I don't feel shy while talking to the people I'm close with or people I see every day, but after talking I feel regretful about talking.
Thought Introvert- My family says I live in my dreams and that is true lol. If someone tells me a task to do, I do some other task cuz I was busy daydreaming and don't remember what I was told.
Anxious Introvert- This is how I mostly feel after talking lol. I always feel judged although I know the one who is judging is me myself.
Restrained Introvert- I don't like change. My grandma says old people don't want to move much cuz they're attached to a place and don't have the energy. Ig the same can be applied to me although I'm not too old.

i mean, i relate to all of these to some degree. on the one hand, i am rarely ready to do anything when i wake up, rather spending an hour on the pad before breakfast, on the other, when i talk with my single close friend, we barely pause to breathe. if someone asks me if i can do something on the day, i will. for practicality's sake (because i share a car) its better if you ask me ahead of time so i know whether i have the car available, but if i can go now, i will. (though that may be a consequence of living in a smaller town where nothing happens and nobody my age lives.)

The last one. I don't have friends, I have acquaintances. Now that I work from home I don't have to talk to people unless I want to and even then I like it when it stays short and to the point. Small talk can be difficult and very stressful unless I have moment where I'm nerve wracked and talk too much then regret it, feel stupid and go over what I said repeatedly for days. I don't usually comment and despite my fear will post it.

Personally I think I'm a mix between a social, a thinking and a restrained introvert. It's funny because I have exactly 2 close friends that I like to talk to and really find that I am the most open with compared to most people I know (the ones I don't really connect with). Yet I don't feel the "need" to be around them as often as an extrovert with his friends in my opinion (that doesn't mean I don't like them). This is where I find myself to be a thinking introvert because although I enjoy being in the company of these two people I prefer to stay with myself, meditating on many things whether it be how I can improve as a person, how people view me in general (without being anxious) or just about my hobbies. It's true that I tend to analyze things to finally be fairly fair in my judgments or decisions (even if sometimes I overthink what tends to complicate things for me). For example, there is one person in my family who initially got along fairly well with the rest of my family. However over the years I began to suspect a few things after thinking about the ways she talked to me and others in addition to her general habit. And unfortunately it turns out I was right that she was ultimately a bad person. But I also totally admit to being a restrained introvert because I always follow my own routine (partly because as I said before, I'm trying to improve myself as a person) and it's true that I don't like to deviate from it. Indeed I can confirm that I have trouble waking up without my sacrosanct cup of tea ^^ . Plus I train in the late afternoon because I know I'd be half focused if I did my sport in the morning. In the end I think I’m 50% a thinking, 30% a restrained and 20% a social.

I related most to the Restrained Introvert. Though years of working at Chuck E Cheese has honed my ability to act like an extrovert, in non-business situations I am loth to talk to strangers. It's hard to tell where the acting ends and my actual social personality begins. I always feel someone cut off from even my closest friends. I feel like I don't really know them like best friends should, and that I've somehow prevented us from being more intimate, like I actually lack the ability. It's confusing because I feel almost like I have two personalities.

I'm the second introvert only because I was an extrovert but then my "friends" rarely talked to me and only talked to eachother which made me feel like no one cared for me except my family who I can depend on and talk about myself to. I also have this one friend, Bella, who I can talk to about anything. I am also a good secret keeper, with over 20 tabs of secrets going on in my head.
