Just wanted to say a massive thanks, I’m lost when it comes to this side of bikes. This is my first pista and was worried i wouldn’t be able to put my headphones in ✌️🙏
Thanks for this video...the Pista should be a really loud helmet...with the air-intake always open or always closed ....right?! How can U hear the music, and overall how can your friend from the duo can hear you?!
I can hear fine but I'm not constantly at high speeds with super wind noise. I also wear ear plugs and it's the best to mute the wind noise from the helmet
Sick helmet.....will be my next, just grabbed k6 and pista is bit much but corsa is perfect.....AGV helmets by far look cleanest, lite and aero dynamics are second to none.....
Most (if not all) helmets are made to a safety standard but if recommend going into a store to try helmets and sizes on. Each brand fits differently and it has to be tight enough not to move around on your head.
Wonder no more - yes it does. Well it's more the headset connects to your phone and your phone connects to the bike. My headset automatically stops the music when I turn off the bike
i got the futuro pista gp rr and i don’t have that hole in the cheek pads to put the speakers into…. i have it behind the pads right now and the sounds is super muffled. can’t figure out a fix
Thank you for this comment. I was looking for a comment on Futuro GP RR as I was about to buy it after watching a couple different videos about these pockets.
What I did was I actually drilled a 2cm deep hole with a diameter of 45mm from a circular drill bit from Home Depot. After I applied to sort of “burn” the foam where I cut so it reenforces. After I applied the Velcro stickers, that came in the cardo, and it sounds good. Obviously you have to really find out where your ear sits
@@amelia2wheels I was going to ask the same question as the supplied wire is only 50cm long. I think I'll try to dig out a longer version on Amazon as it will be much more convenient.
Hi Amelia, love this video! I got a short question about the helmet. So many people say, wow this helmet is extremly loud…. So how it works when somebody call you or when you hearing music? Are the speakers loud enough? Do you wearing Ear Plugs? Thanks ☺️
Hello and thank you! The speakers are more than loud enough. I have accidentally had it at maximum volume and nearly broke my ears haha. I ride with ear plugs and and have no problems with the volume of the intercom or the music
@@amelia2wheels hey amelia, i just wanted to confirm what you said in your comment. so you have no problem hearing other riders through the comms while having earplugs in? i thought earplugs would block all of that out until i read what you said.
@@cweb153 I can hear my husband loud and clear, burps and all, through the comms. Volume isn't even on max. All the earplugs do is muffle the wind noise. I can still hear emergency sirens. The only thing I can't hear clearly is a person talking to me in real life
Make sure the battery pack is pushed all the way into your helmet and the wires for the two speakers, that attach to each side of the battery pack is tight enough and tucked into the helemt nicely. The wires can't have too much slack or everything may move around
Nope but you have to put them into that gap. Sometimes they can move around and kind of come out of the gap. I just move it back if I feel it push on my ears when I have my helmet on
After having that for a year now how’s it working out for you ? Is it good quality for range between two riders? How’s the audio for doing videos while you’re riding down the road?
It's been good. No issues witht the range. I can hear a person before I can sometimes see them. Speaker quality for music is good. Only sometimes, the voice commands don't work. You need to speak very clearly and slowly ans not shout. I don't believe you can use the headset to record audio, so I can't comment on that
I think all gp-r and gp-rr have the same shell so it should fit fine - the cardo headset that is. I don't know if it'll hurt you ears because it will depend on how the helmet fits on you now. The speakers, if put into the cheek pad gap location, won't be so intrusive and you're less likely to notice it. Of course, I can't guarantee it as every one has a different head
@@amelia2wheels Can you tell me the model or name of the Pista GP helmet you bought? I've never seen that spoiler before and i absolutely love it! It's sick.
Hiya, how is the packtalk slim holding up for you? and does the battery pack on the back centre of the helmet ever get in the way of your hair or anything like that? just considering purchasing one
Hi, It's been pretty good! Music quality is great and the intercom works well. The battery pack at the back only bothered me once when I was tucking my head down and tilted back. Other that that, you don't notice it there and my hair hasn't got caught around it.
I LOVE YOU! for this vid. I've been using my ear monitors and they sit hard against my ears and i've replace those JBL with KOSS headset and just remove the headset and the speakers are 10x better than those JBL, kinda sad if you ask me. BUT anyhow thank you for this trick. I can give you a DAMN HIUG RIGHT MEOW! so if ever in SoCal.... then you're in danger for a hug,. :D
Hahaha, I love YOUR comment 💙 Glad the little trick for those speakers have helped you! I'm not near SoCal but I can appreciate the virtual hug. Stay safe out there ✌🏼
Thank you for this Video, ive been searching a while for an Installation Video for the pista gp r. However when i did buyed the Packtalk Black for this helmet, i find it very uncomfortably to wear the 45mm JBL speakers. They sit too tight on the ears. But you seem to find a solution by cutting holes into the cheek/ear pad area.. do you find it worth it cut it in there? PS: i end up removing everything away and installing it into my Icon airflite
The gap was already there in the cheek pad, I didn't need to cut anything. Same with the other helmet on the video. Have you opened yours up to take a look? I also found (with a bit of pulling apart) that there's some extra foam in the cheek pad that can be removed too. Mine had three layers of foam. Two joined and one just stitched onto it. I took off the thinner (stitched on) piece to give my face more room. 100% worth getting more cheek space in the helmet and it hasn't made the helmet loose or uncomfortable
@@amelia2wheels wow i feel so stupid, i didnt saw the pre-cut holes. i saw a guy in another video, he installed the slim into the the corsa r. and i used this for as a reference. he in fact did installed the 45mm speakers just inside helmet core and i was freaking out why he didnt mentioned the unbearable pressure on the ears. you helped me a lot, i wish you would have uploaded the vid weeks ago haha. looking forward to buy just a new audio kit for the pista and installing the speakers just like you did. THANKS
@@flamesandriot I'm glad it helped! You may have to try it on and still reposition the speakers so that it's not pushing on your ear. I assume you too have a rounder shaped face so the helmet is already super tight without anything inside! Also, to be fair, who'd have thought there's a gap in the cheek pads!

Damn thats nice and tucked. Digging that Pista Carbon.
Unfortunately it doesn't work on the Pista GP RR model 😢
works the same for the Pista GP RR ? i wanna buy the INSYDE model :) I didn't find anywhere an official information about it. Thanks
I'd think so, but I've not tested

Just wanna say the newer pista gp rr helmet, the padding doesn't have the space anymore, it is stitched up
great video been searching for this tutorial for a while 🙌🏻 keep up the good work, really nice informatiom and the video shows all the details too
Thanks. I'm glad it was helpful
Yo what cardo set is this?
Wonder does this connect to the Bluetooth of the s1000rr
Wonder no more - yes it does. Well it's more the headset connects to your phone and your phone connects to the bike. My headset automatically stops the music when I turn off the bike
Would the process on this be the same with a corsa? Or are the innards slightly different?
Not sure. I'd suggest opening up one side to take a look before you pull everything apart

Great cable management skills Amelia 👌👌 one question for you, is the battery wireless charging or does it disconnect for charging
You plug the charging cable into the module with it still attached to the helmet. A little cumbersome buy not a great inconvenience
