rode it for the first time today from Richmond with my buddy. no lie, so much gnarlier in person than on video. was really blown out from the rain and we were drift and sliding a lot but man was it great. can't wait to come back when the trails are in better shape
Couldn’t agree more. GoPro doesn’t do it justice. Can’t wait to get back out there and hopefully tie it in with a Ragged Mountain ride too. I’ve seen some of your videos. You still riding the Polygon?

I hear ya, I have been trying to get back to it but then Marin sent me the Pine Mountain to test out. I have one more video to do on that bike. Then another company sent me another bike to test so I have to do that video. Then back to the Talon!
Rode there almost 10 years ago, but this looks completely different from what I remember. I guess someone who rode Pocahontas Park 10 years ago would say the same with all the new trails 😀

Thank you for the video, I love them! Which shoes do you have? I wonder if you were using a more heavy duty shoes, like the five-ten pro (which has a toe box guard) it wouldn't be hurting so much.
I have Five Ten Freeriders but not the pro ones. The toe area is definitely reinforced and I think it helped. I’m cursed with the long second toe so it took most of the force, even if was just due to sliding forward in the shoe. There is a pair of cheap non-Mtb shoes that I have been eyeing that have steel toes and grippy soles. Might work well and would be a good video topic too. Anyway thanks for watching the video!

Yeah I think they ave added new trails recently, including some unsanctioned ones. Plus, I probably only rode about half of what is out there.

And it can get up to a 100-110 degrees fernhite
