In about '97 or '98, we left Orlando on a Disney cruise of the Bahamas. That first night, after it got dark, my wife & I were up on the deck after the kids went to bed marveling at all the stars we could see. Suddenly a brilliant explosion back on the coast caught our attention, and as we watched a rocket arced through the sky right over us & disappeared into the night. We were speechless the entire time. Awesome to see. Can't even imagine the courage it took to be aboard those early space shots...
