For me, even in 2024 Skyrim is worth a shout.
I'm playing it for the first time, and honestly it's such an adventure, and I usually hate long games. I probably won't try to 100% because I value my sanity, but I'm going to clear my quest list, whatever I happen to organically come across, and leave it at that.
Then you add one mod, and your life is ruined.
Best game ever made
I just completed RDR2 for the 1st time recently, over 100hrs alone just exploring. Everything about that last chapter with Arthur & his last ride...had me in my feelings for days. Talk about being invested in a character!
If someone is going through it for the first time, and they also go through the “Frozen Wilds” DLC, “Horizon: Zero Dawn” could take over 100 hours to complete.
I'm playing Forbidden West at the moment and it's amazing.
I think it took me between 60 and 80 hours on my first try so I wouldn't include it, but it's an amazing game.
I just checked and I have 108 hrs, completed the main game with DLC 100% on normal.
I'm at 260 hrs for forbidden west Ultra Hard new game mode not plus.
Jess is a national treasure in all nations.
I think she's the worst one on the channel
The insane amount of makeup she's rocking. Sheesh
Simping ain’t easy, huh?
She's amazingly cute and charismatic.
@@chad_bThe hell did she do 😭
I'd add BOTW or TOTK - two of the best games I've ever played and so much to do and explore.
FFX was the 1st game I put well over 100 saved hours into
Witcher 3, AC Odyssey, Horizon Zero Dawn, GTA V and Mad Max had me completely locked in! All-nighters were the norm.. 💁🏼♀️😅👌
Shame about odyssey, could play a better AC
Odyssey is a fantastic game
Wdym, odyssey is an amazing game. Dunno why it gets so much hate online@@reality_is_sin
Odyssey is my 2nd favorite game after witcher 3 followed by Cyberpunk
@@reality_is_sinOdyssey is a great game. Only original AC elitists hate it.
Ive put near 400 hours into Fallout New Vegas, around 190 hour in Stardew Valley and around 140 hour into Fallout 4. Im a very passionate gamer
Can i play fallout new vegas without playing any of the others ?
@@Cyber277CDPRyes
Absolutely. I don't think theyre connectef unless you have TTW for Fo3 and Fnv but idk@@Cyber277CDPR
CP2077 is one of the only games I have ever played to 100% completion multiple times. First on Series X when it launched and again on PS5 with the Phantom Liberty DLC and all the updates. Two completely different play styles and absolutely loved both runs for different reasons.
This is the correct answer. 10000% - And for an added bonus, it was the _first_ game in my 31yrs of gaming that I _wanted_ to do all of the side stuff as much as possible.
Same! One of maybe 3 games I can constantly go back too. After all the patches, new features and DLC it turned into such an Amazing game
I was sad when it was released a bug-ridden mess. But I held off until this year to play and best decision ever. One of my favorite games ever.
Cyberpunk 2077 is my favorite game of all time. The story telling, narrative, and world building just hits so hard. I have almost 3,000 hours on it and I still see a few new things every time I start a new playthrough.
I think I just admitted this to myself the other day... No matter how many new games come out, I keep coming back to it. Night City and it's lore help to create the best videogame world ever.
I don’t care what anyone says, Cyberpunk is amazing. Sure it launched broken, but they owned it and gave us an amazing game and universe. The wait was worth it
I've always sad cyberpunk got all the criticism that Bethesda should have been getting for the last decade. For some reason people didn't give that grace to cdprojectred though.
I put so many hours in that, I never finished it on the last mission I kept dying and broke like 3 controllers so I’m on the fence if I hate it or not
I held off on Cyberpunk until after a bunch of patches but I will say it is one of the best games I've played in years. Gameplay, story, soundtrack, appearance. All excellent and enthralling.
@@nolivesfor real! I’m just glad it didn’t keep them from continuing the series.
IT (AND PHANTOM LIBERTY TOO) IS A COMPLETE MASTERPIECE. Love it soooo much.
So glad Kingdom Come is getting some love! my favorite game
KCD is basically Cyberpunk 2077 in the middle ages (not in the the scifi sense, but in the gameplay / gameloop perpective, and the fun thing, is that KCD is literally part of the timeline of Cyberpunk...
Call me crazy, but I get the feeling Jess may have a grudge against that "tree sentinel dude" from Elden Ring
stupid tree sentinel dude
Witcher 3 I've almost reached 200 hours and I am just past half the main storyline... my Geralt has been doing side quests, bounties, and um, visiting establishments of culture for the most part.
Dragon Quest XI deserves to be on this list. Without a doubt one of the best in that franchise and one of the best JRPGs if all time.
Though I took my sweet a** time with it and enjoyed it, I think many people can clear it under 100 hours. Making it a weak contender.
My favourite part was Jess' Elden Ring story about plinking away at Tree Sentinel for an hour, which was a random example and definitely didn't happen to her.
Why’s that?
We’re still waiting your expert opinion on why she definitely didn’t do that. Whenever you’re ready.
i played it on stream! i got reciepts!
@@jessmcdonell I believe you 💯 I remember that battle 😂😂😂😂
@@jessmcdonell I may be the kind of player who beat a lot of Dark Souls doing exactly that (and Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3, and Elden Ring, but not Bloodborne 'cuz it didn't have bows...)
Cyberpunk 2077 is probably my favorite game since the last of us part 2.
No matter how hard I try I just can’t get into the Witcher 3
I’ve been saying this for years and I love rpg and dnd esc games I kinda think it’s overrated but I also don’t think it’s bad
I thought I was the only one lol. My same experience.
The story was good, some of the best side quests on the biz, GWENT, but... The combat sucked for me. Played like 90% of the main story then quit.
Playing TW3 after hours and hours of the Souls games and Monster Hunter made Geralt's combat feel so lackluster.
@@tubaina021 As much as I loved and love the witcher 3, it was never really about the combat. Kind of like fable 1. Exploration, quests, dialogues and choices, funny silly moments, intersting world, some brutal moments, many memorable scenes. But not really the combat. Passable combat, but nothing outstanding.
I would recommend you to just lower the difficulty and cheese through it else as the game has a lot to offer besides the combat.
I think the new camera angle in the witcher 3 is very bad i played it in 2017 best experience but when they changed the graphics and the camera angle it became unplayable
Thedas may just be an acronym for The Dragon Age Setting, but at least it sounds like a proper fantasy name.
Great list! My personal favourite of all time is Baldur’s Gate 3. However, I was quite surprised not to see some big, well-loved games like TES: Skyrim, Final Fantasy 7, Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous, Dragon Age Origins (much, much better than Inquisition) and Fallout: New Vegas.
Love Jess' videos. She is so damn entertaining 😂
I swear she's turning more and more into Jules every day.
I remember when she first joined there were a lot of complaints and I never got it? She's awesome and I enjoy her tons!
@@CrazeeAdamFat chicks...
@@CrazeeAdam People are always like that with new hosts, especially when it felt like two popular female presenters on WC (Ash and Rachel) were directly replaced by Jess and Ellie in a cost cutting effort.
P5 is most definitely one of the best games of all time. Only game I've completed twice and undoubtedly will play again!!!
The fact that a copy of Twilight Imperium is on the shelf in the background of a video about games that take forever is not lost on me
Xenoblade 3 was my first entry into the Xenoblade series and I adored it ❤ Currently playing the first game and will get around to the 2nd one once the 1st has been beaten haha
Assassins Creed Odyssey ❤
Persona 5 + Royale.. I've probably completed about 4 or 5 times.. and I don't regret any of it! Hours well spent IMO, playing a masterpiece that changes and let's you experience new things on subsequent playthroughs. Love it.
And have played Elden Ring all the way through twice! And some with Persona 5, have no regretted any of it :)
I put about 800+ hours into Persona 5 Royal over two years, and still sometimes go back to a midgame save for fun.
Just finished Cyberpunk 2077 along with Phantom Liberty. Platinum PSN Trophy as well as all optional endings for both the PL expansion and the main game. Have about 303 hours into it.
One of the most important aspects of 100-plus hour open-world games is how they handle exploration. It can be frustrating when exploring is penalized instead of encouraged. However, I enjoy games that reward players for exploring, such as when you see a mountain in the distance, decide to climb it, and are rewarded upon reaching the summit.
Great video, and so well presented! You rocked it, and I totally agree with your choice of superb games!
X-com (1 or 2, either is exceptional) and Two Point Hospital are my most recent 100+ hour excursions
Dragon Quest 11S took me over 100 hours as well. That was epic, particularly the "post-game"
The grind in the post game is killing me.
Glad you included Dragon Age Inquisition, one of my all time favorite game🙂 Awesome list👏
Hearing Jess go on tangents never fails to delight. The world needs more people who unashamedly and brightly share their thoughts on what brings them joy.
There actually some Gems on the list
Is Cyberpunk worth picking up? I've been waiting until they patched the game into a good state.
Back in 1999, broke my left leg badly and dislocated the ankle as well, all in one fall. Now i have a metal plate and 9 pins in my leg. 3 and a half months out of work and then i've had to relearn to walk again. Luckily, Jagged Alliance 2 had just come out. Finished it 3 times in that time span, over 150 game days in each playthrough. Played other games too, little of this, little of that but JA2 was what kept me entertained. And it's not in your list. It takes a lot more than a 100+ hours to finish.
I finally got around to playing through RDR2 last summer. I was laid off from work and had tried in the past (2 or 3 times) to get into it. When I was without a job and sending resumes and trying to land interviews wasn't working out, I jumped in. I beat it, didn't 100% it but rolled credits and did the post-game stuff. Overall an impressive game and massive world to explore. Just a lot of times was chilling and hunting.
Me watching this video while playing my 900 hour of Fire Emblem 3 houses....
wish they would make it on pc lol
@@whocares397 I know a guy who knows a guy who knows another guy who said that there is a way to play it on PC..
Cyberpunk - tried 3 times 7 hours each time
RDR 2 - 55 hours
Persona 5 - 90 hours and still never finished it
Elden Ring - 250 hours and counting
Witcher 3 - 330 hours and want to do another playthroug some time in the future.
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you.
Larian has been making decent CRPGs since 2002.
I'm glad you included Kingdom Come Deliverance. It's one of the most memorable games I've played
Zelda TotK, AC: Origins, Skyrim there’s a ton of great 100 odd hours out there
Thanks for hanging out with us, Jess.
I very nearly did that exact same thing to that darn Tree Sentinel! Even knowing he was intentionally there to tell us to get better and come back later, I still didn't want to stop until I beat him xD
I've just rolled credits on XC3, final playtime was 105hrs and that's without a lot of the side quests. Now moved onto the DLC, which is likely to be another 30hrs at least, and I'm not remotely tired of it yet.
I’m past the 100 hours mark in XC3 and I’m doing all the sidequests. I don’t need Jess to tell me to play XC3 because I’m already aware of playing it.
That Melissa Rori ministatue it's awesome.......
You just blew my mind about Thedas!
The only games I've invested time into is cyberpunk 2077 and personal 5 royal, never could get into the other games much
I FELT that Tree Sentinel rant in my soul
FF7 Rebirth took me more than 100 hours to beat.
I love games that you can sink a ton of time in to
Finished 6/10 on the list. P5 and RDR2 are my favorites. Both games got me emotional after completion 😅😅
Totally underrated gem that’s a time sink is Rogue Galaxy
If only I had 900 hours to play Videogames. 😅
Retirement is coming!
I got divorced 11 years ago. Has helped a ton.
you said p5royal and i freaked out for a second because i'm literally playing it right now. it's such a good game
As someone who has lived there far more than 100 each game...The Horizon franchise is my cup of tea (although I accept not everyones). The DLC to the first game is almost a stand alone game unto itself...and in the eyes of this "casual" gamer...near perfection.
I put over 150 hours into BOTW and am about that far into TOTK
I would include in that list:
1) The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim. I don't have hundreds of hours in that game. I have thousands cause mods have made it infinite. It's definitely the game of my life.
2) The two modern Zelda games (Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom) will take you a while if you play them to completion.
3) Assassin's Creed Origins (the only one of the modern ones that is worth playing). Beautiful game in all fronts and you can customize your gameplay.
4) Mass Effect Trilogy took me almost 200 hours to finish the three games. They're way better than DA: I IMO, and I say that even though I love DA:I.
5) Fallout New Vegas (or Fallout 4 for those who prefer an easier game). It's the best RPG ever made.
Good list 👍🙂
I've put on about 300 on starfox zero
Thanks for the video
I enjoyed your game specific personal stories because I related
278hours on record completed 100percent CYBERPUNK 2077
You completely described my whole strategy when it came to killing that tree sentinel. I stocked up on 600 arrows and made it my business to defeat that thing.
12:30 That's an oddly specific description there. Almost as if that's what you did there. And I can attest to Elden Ring as I'm at 908 hours and have the dlc already in my library waiting for release. God DAMN I love my 99 arcane blood build.
Solid list.
Always Skyrim comes to my mind when it comes to how much long time you spend in video games.
I think this is the first WCG list I agree with. Before starting the video I was like "Elden Ring, DA:I, and Witcher3 should be on the list" but I was preeetty sure that except for the latter, I'd be disappointed. Nice to have been proven wrong!
Enjoyed the video, I agree with most, definitely KCD, as a guy that hates death I always play on easy so imagine the screams when kcd has no easy mode, my gf loved the cut scenes and encouraged me to try, so I got gud ( with the help of a few cheeses on TH-cam lol)
My gf is so happy that the sequel is coming, although weather she will enjoy me picking flowers for days on end to make potions to make my fortune that will be seen.
😂
I'd add Fallout New Vegas into there too, but 100+ hours depends on how much of the side content & DLC you play through more than the main storyline & whichever of the 4 endings you choose to follow but the side quests especially for your followers are mostly really rewarding or great fun to try. It's been my "go to & get lost" game since it's original release after Fallout 3 just blew me away.
Cyberpunk 2077 is the greatest game out there atm & the longer it's been around the more interest I'm gaining in eventually buying Balder's Gate 3.
The Spellforce trilogy each game is about 250/300 hours each !
Very entertaining. Not all games, but your presentation. Its fun watching you having fun.
All great games another great one is the FF7 remake games, the 1st one is only about a 30-40hr game but rebirth is easily a 100+ hour game
Picked up Dragon Age Inquisition for my steam deck and forgot just how deep and engaging it was.
80 hrs later Im still in act one of Baldurs Gate 3.
I've pumped well over 1000 hours into Monster Hunter World and Skyrim. Close to 700 in Elden Ring. Put 125 into FF7 Remake and still haven't done everything
Love Xenoblade 2 and 3 so much. And the music is for me unmatched in the genre.
Your amazing Jess love hanging out with ya
I unapologetically admit to playing through persona 5 royal 9 times simply because of the gameplay, the music and omg that ost is wall to wall bangers
you have great charisma!
To anyone who still hasn't tried Cyberpunk after the initial awful release, PLEASE give it a go! I did two years ago on a whim and here I am now with a Cyberpunk-themed tattoo on my forearm. It's an incredible game with a ton of lore and all-round good fun. You won't regret it.
Absolutely agree. I played it at the beginning of this year, and I'm still mesmerized by the world building, the narrative, and overall the well written characters. Never before has a videogame made me feel as great of a connection with some characters as this game did, and I'm thankful for that.
Today I think the game is a masterpiece, and I'll never forget the quest; Pyramid Song.
I feel like if I give them money, even now, it tells them it's OK to do what they did because we'll eventually buy it. I know it's been fixed for years, but it just feels like clown make up for me.
@S4BRETOOTH aw man, that was cinematic. I thought it was gonna be a generic romance but it was so atmospheric. The game did that so well. It almost felt like a VR experience in terms of immersion
@@beaver6d9 I understand that, I really do, but you're missing an incredible experience by doing so. Swallow your pride and embrace the ride!
@@andyrfc92 I'm hoping they do like an ultimate edition with all content on disc at some point and I'll get a used copy!
There's a game, where you play as a warden waiting for your God to awake, and you have to do things to make time go faster, is a year long game, can't remember it's name, but definitely it should be on a second list.
I got the 1000 Gamerscore on Persona 5 Royal in 60 hours, but that was my third Persona 5 playthrough.
The list should be named as greatest games of all time.
I recently bought the Witcher 2 and they've improved so much in the Witcher 3, I feel like the menus are easier to get through in 3
Don't even waste your time with the first Witcher, I installed that on my PC ages ago and was disgustedly horrified, I promptly uninstalled soon after 🤮🤮
@@HUYI1 Your loss, the Witcher 1 is amazing!!
@@duhmzdaih nah, no thanks
Final Fantasy 15 Royal editions (including FFXV comrades and episode ardyn)
How about Lost Odyssey
Sweety you are so charismatic charming and intelligent. I subscribed because of you and your amazing content and choices for this video! Great effin job! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼🔥💯
i been playing inquisition recently, and it's better than, i thought, but it and great as the old Bioware games, it's quite possibly the last great game before the fall, of Bioware, and it already show the signs.
If you just want a great fantasy RPG to play, skip for TW3 and have the time of your life.
KCD is simply the most historicaly accurate game ever made, and and it is worth playing for this reason alone.
Cyberpunk 2077 is amazing.
Best game on this list RDR2 because Arthur Morgan is a legend and legends never die.
Kakarot should of made this list, while this is a niche title it absolutely is a game that'll take 100 hours, and why wouldn't it? The world you get to explore throughout the course of Dragon Ball Z is great and whether you're finding recipes for Chi-Chi or doing side quests to get character stamps it all works towards making your playable characters stronger, and it's graphics and respect to Toriyama's story (Rip) is phenomenal as it takes you back to those moments one of which for me was seeing Goku go SSJ against freeza for the first time. Or seeing Vegeta's sacrifice.
Mass Effect OT are 3 games that are actually 1 game in 3 parts. I would include it in this list.
I just finished sinking near 160 hours on Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, granted I got ever job to everyone over 30 but still worth it for all the right reasons. Also I probably put 120 in Tears of Kingdom to 100% that. That was less worth the badges but the game is just fun to pick up and mess around for a few hours.
I can't believe neither of the two Zelda titles were on this list.
Knew persona 5 would be on the list, I'm a proud Platinum owner of the ps3 version, I'm working on royal.
If you thought you could lose hours crafting potions in skyrim KCD takes it to a whole new level where it makes you feel like an actual alchemist
I am really glad they put Tetris99 is #1
Persona games go great on handheld PC s and can be played in shorter sessions due to the way they are paced. Playing on home console / pc i d recommend at least 30 minutes commitment tho.
P5R: 430 hours
Witcher 3: 480 hours
Elden Ring: 225 hours
Dragon Age: 3 console generations 😅
