I love President Benson and admire his great spirit. I used to carry a couple of his speeches and read them on my lunch hour. I was a USDA inspector I would go to my office, off the kill floor where we were slaughtering cattle wash the blood off my hands eat my lunch and read his speeches. They gave me great comfort and direction. Now I'm 81 and retired. I did what he said. I stayed out of debt, lived within my income, saved some money, put up a food supply, raised my children, and taught them the gospel. Today I'm at peace everything's paid for. The kids grew up to be successful, powerful, and smart! My life has been a success from President Benson's advice and speeches. May God bless him forever!

I am so grateful that President Benson made it clear that the constitution of this country was a Heavenly Banner; and I'm grateful that he spoke out about the Constitution being saved, not in Washington DC, but by the Latter Day Saint people- that they would be the ones holding up the standard of the supreme law of the land ♡ I am grateful that he counseled us to read the book of Mormon every day, and to study the Constitution, and know that it was established by Jesus Christ ♡

I walked 14 miles to see this great, holy man when he spoke at Wembley Arena, London in 1987. I was disappointed when he walked out on that stage and nobody sang ‘We thank thee O God for a Prophet.’ There was complete silence.
I had the rare honor of working as a pbx operator in the adminstration building when president Benson was the prophet. What a gracious, kind, and patient man he was. We also got a fair dose of his super patriotism! Lol. I think he is the reason I'm such a lover of this country as well. As I grow older I realize the prophetic wisdom he had. Glad I paid attention most of the time. Saddened I didn't pay attention ALL of the time.

The LDS prophet today is a great wonderful gentleman.. who stands on the shoulders of all of the graeats before him.. . such as this one... continue to pray for him that he will live until he is a hundred years old or more... Because he is one of the greatest who has ever been our Prophet....!
