This is an amazing plugin, this is how I wish all analog modeled plugins were made…an excellent engineer who has a lot of experience and customized pro gear makes a plugin with great plugin programmers!
I'd be interested to see you guys review the Sonimus N and A Channel emulations, they don't provide demos so you'd have to get them to donate. They are summing channels, I have the N-Channel, it is a bit odd that they don't have demo versions, you have to take them at their word, hence we need more review videos.
🤣👍. Priseless that face @3.57 about the "they decided to put a dog and a cat face on it" 🤣👍. Like.. 'ffs.. oh well, why not" hahahah. [EDIT: i extended my demo, but i don't want to fork out the €€'s lol]
@@StudioLife101 Ps: An affordable but wonderful plugin for you to test is A-Console by Sonimus. Nifty little tool with nice „analog“ tricks up its sleeve
0:04 Just spat my cofeee all over my keyboard Dan. You happy now? Pulsar Modular's prices are a bit steep where there are cheaper similar performing summing plugins available. Signature plugins are much of a muchness imo. I kind of wanted to hate it as well, but I get the business model.
Speaking on that “one review” I love White Sea studios, he does good stuff and is a competent knowledgeable engineer. But his insistence that his snake oil videos MUST be done without reading the manual is a ridiculous hill to die on. I’ve never met a peer that doesn’t read the manual. Hell I even read the manual on stuff I’m considering buying. His snake oil show would be so much better if he did this. I actually agree with some of his points about auto gain and a better UI for things. But he obviously dropped the ball on the p445 review. Not that I’d pay remotely that much for it lol
What are they thinking asking that money? The days of fat cows are long gone. And this is no PA that will be 29.99 afte a month. Im sure it sounds good but it is not irreplaceable so for that money it is a hard pass for me
Yes, but the thing is: Pulsar Modular states they (he) does NOT compete with plugins. But, with... hardware!!! so the price is totally justified (read all this on the website)
@@peterpeper4837 it's seems pretty clear to me that plugins will eventually be complete equals in tonal quality to hardware, and if you have ever watched any videos with Marc Daniel Nelson, you'd know that he is very committed to this plugin being legit. It's sonically the next step in digital matching analog to me.
You guys are pushing 4k subscribers...awesome to see the channel grow!
Cheers John👍

OK I was skeptical, but after 6:00 of this vid I'm totally in! They're frickin' great, thank you for the actually useful reviews! Keep 'em coming.
And yes, the P455MND is So Not sht!
I love it, partner with the michelangelo from tone projects and you got yourself a sexy topping for your audio pudding :D
Haha niiiice it lives on my two bus since its release! Love this thing. One day I'll mary it then we'll have tiny baby plugins
Loved this review so fun and really accurate 😂

Yeah it’s great. Never have I bought a plugin that expensive after the first day of trying it.
I thought it sounded really good but I already have all the parts of a mix bus chain I like. But yeah, it’s pretty cool.

Willie and Atticus are both dogs by the way, there are photos of them in the manual 😄
... always handy to have photo's of dogs in a audio engineering equipment manual 👍
Enjoyed the autotune one note hotel california intro. Exactly my thing!
😂😂

never knew pulsar modular was a different company until now lol
This is a great plug in! Sounds expensive! Like pink Floyd mixes :)
it's a cracking piece of kit

Plus his habit of testing everything on finished songs, rather than individual tracks/buses.
FWIW, If you hold shift while adjusting the input gain, it links to the output gain which is tantamount to autogain.
Dan doesn't know where the colitas is to be found ... 😜
😂😂
Dan needs to take a nap
Always…
Completely different company to Pulsar?? ffs mental

@@hetto_blaster Well they are not fooling anyone with that nonsense.
Which country are they from that they have not heard of the word recession?

@@hetto_blaster Right, but anybody making emulation plugins can say that. The fact is, they very much are competing with plugins. Bc it’s a plugin.
@@r3furbish3dbrain12If that was supposed to be some kind of argument was total BS
