I love you guys, it’s totally obvious to me that you are legendary hilarious. I’m on my sofa before going for a 2 hours mixing, and you make my heart warm with your bollocks! Keep it alive and please stay authentic as you are right now .
I'm old enough to remember when this channel purported to be "no messing about plugin reviews". Please never rehearse. You guys are just like Statler and Waldorf. Best muppets ever.
I’m just here to watch the screensaver in the back… hehe… not really but fun. As for the plugin, could be quite interesting in a frequency ducking situation for voice overs, will try this, thank you, as always.
When you know you are old, when you post videos early in the morning... ...and when you watch them early in the morning. And how many time did we have to visit the loo during the night?
You push "record" and hope for the best. We push "play" and hope for the best. This channel is welcoming, fun, and full of great technical and practical knowledge if you're willing to stay for the whole show. In a TH-cam world full of naysayers and scrawny bitches claiming to be experts, you two have made all the difference. Thank you.
seems like exactly one of the uses i ha r for pro q 4 for, slap one on my instrument mix bus, feed the lead vox into it, activate the spectral button, set how much i want it to attenuate, make it attenuate the mid signal only
The Focusrite FAST suite has Reveal, which does the same kind of thing and it's great to use on strummed acoustic guitar and pad sounds, so you can keep them full-sounding in between vocal phrases but still let the voice come through clearly. I've also used the sidechain with Smooth Operator on reverbs, like Dan mentioned. I like United Plugins stuff and I'm sure this will will a useful tool. Nice at the sale price!
With the air conditioning on this was just about to turn into the coolest vid you have done. But… Anyways, you’re always cool enough. Cheers mates - kippis kaverit!
Doesn't the new ProQ 4 I have this functionality.... Along with Sue's like spectral resonance suppression? It ooks like a good one stop for a lot of things now...
If you want to test the real effectiveness of each plugin try to insert plugins like ABLM2 from TBProAudio or Gain Match into the chain and you will discover that most plugins do not improve but worsen the sound, you will discover how many plugins only increase the volume without any real improvement, you will have to redo all the videos on the channel and change your mind. ;)
These are Dynaudio LYD48s - rear ported. Also NS10s and AURATONE...i'm a bit old skool... my studio is purpose built - so no parallel walls - with huge corner and rear wall bass traps, 100% of the wall space is rockwool baffles and there's also dispersion and scattering - all to a very high spec...so any decent small to mid monitor sounds great in here.
'Chatting shit again'. I take a different view (and I suspect you do too). I might wish you'd get on with it, but I love the banter (and if I don't I just skip to the review section). The banter might be what ultimately grows the viewing numbers - who knows. Anyway, blather away and ignore the nay sayers - I was a sarf london boy once and you take me back to my Peckham days 👍😆 P.S. As you've said, Firespacer sounds very similar to Wavesfactory Trackspacer so is there any benefit to this new product over Trackspacer?
@@StudioLife101 Love it. My stomping ground in the 1970s, I worked in the DHSS Benefits Office for a year after walking in to try and claim the dole. They said "What kind of work are you looking for". I said I wanted to be a rock singer. They said "Well yes, but apart from that. And we need casual workers at present, if you'd like to be one." I stayed and for a year was making sure Del Boy didn't collect fraudulent benefits while those who needed them did. 😆
This is basically Trackspacer, which is still the GOAT.
Mastering the Mix Fuser took that crown.

Guys, I watch for the chat. There's no shortage of plugin reviews, not nearly enough quality bollocks.

Focusrite FAST REVEAL does this but it uses Sonible tech to analyse the sidechain and duck frequencies that are clashing.

DSEQ can do the same thing. You can sidechain into DSEQ to create space in a problem track.

The plugin needs to know what is competing with the track it's on.
