Remko Jerphanion Thank you very much! I tried to cover the build process without making the video or video series incredibly long. Makes it much more watchable for a person like myself!
Nice unboxing and build. That gear is a issue on a lot of these kits and you showed it was a lack of machining was the problem. Looking forward to what you have in mind for the body.
I have one of these chassis’s. $400 kit. With a built in interference between the front pan and rod and the horn for the steering servo. Limits articulation in the front
@ if you press down on the front bumper, the drivers side doesn’t go down as far as the passenger side. It’s the panhard bar coming down on the steering servo horn
What other kits have you built I have recently gotten back into RC after 20 years. Back then I built a BlackFoot, tamiya Ralky car and a Team Assembled RC10T. I have picked up a TRX4 kit to be my first kit in over 20 years
They have released a TRX4 sport kit with single speed gearbox, either locked or unlocked diffs(with putty), a pickup truck body(unpainted), and some scale accessories
22:40 can you guys tell me the exact name of that big plastic "build" around the frame? Im really searching for it, or maybe 3d print it if available :C
BigPoppaPaul's Radio Controlled Adventures I have not tried those tires yet but I am sure they make an excellent upgrade! Still haven’t found a body I’m in love with for this truck yet so tires are definitely a little ways down the line for this rig!
Heck yeah man dont see too many michiganders on these rc channels I'm a far north yooper lmao. Great video bud I'm ordering this kit with probably a chevy k10 body.
@@ExtremeRC4x4 west lower or upper? upper you would be out in the porcupine mountain area where I used to be. I think michigan scenery is about the best for scale crawler plenty of lake side rock shores and forests.

I’m hoping to eventually make a couple of bucks off the TH-cam game but ultimately I’m just here to share ideas and give out some free entertainment! And thanks for the offer but I think I’m definitely going to be hanging on to these trucks for a while! Lol!
Awesome! Congratulations! I wanted to make sure I had enough grease so I just used my own. I have built this into my TRX4 power wagon which I also have a build series on.
AstroSploits I don’t believe I needed tire glue for this. Traxxas does a nice job of cutting out the difficult parts for us. Thanks a lot! I tried to make it entertaining by not explaining every detail but just the important ideas.
Have you had any problems with your red grease? Is it synthetic? I always used a good non hobby oil/grease for years. But I had a warning in one of my kits saying not to use anything but hobby grade lubricants because it will degradate the plastic making it soft such as the screw bosses splitting. In the past I have had that splitting issue. After that I use the expensive hobby grade stuff and don’t seem to have that issue.
I have not had any issues yet. I’m not 100% sure if it is synthetic grease or not. It what I have been using on pretty much everything for a couple of years now.
Great build video and it is going to be extremely helpful I think with the pointers and such. Quick question, maybe a dumb one for some. I am 62 and not the best eyesight anymore. I have built a couple of other builds in my time and recently bought the SCX10 iii and just really like the TRX4. I am sure there are some small pieces to be assembled so my question is how difficult is the build process? I build 1/35 scale models and do ok with that, have to use some magnifying glasses for certain parts. How do you think this would be to put together for a younger grandpa? Thanks if you have time to answer.
Dan Gavin yes however you will need to purchase new rear links to get the wheelbase to 12.8” I believe this truck comes at 12.3”. Other than that everything should work out just right. Thanks for watching!
Joe Chesters it would be an excellent choice! Just take your time with it. The instructions for this kit are very complete and it is overall an excellent platform and I highly recommend it!
Hola buenas. Buen video me puedes aconsejar sobre la parte de atras de mi trx4sport me gustaria poner rueda atras en la caja de mi coche un saludo desde españa
I bought the kit and found that in the spool bag instead of one 10x15x4mm bearing and one 7x14x5mm bearing, it came with two 7x14x5mm and the 10x15x4mm bearing is missing. Did this happen to anyone else?
Dan Gavin I believe the trx4 sport is on the 12.8” wheelbase while the trx4 kit is set at a 12.3” wheelbase so you would need to purchase the rear links for the 12.8” wheelbase or extend the wheelbase yourself. I am also uncertain if the wheel wells work for the sport body. Let me know if you get it worked out as that is a really sweet looking body! Thanks for watching!
Khairul Alias it really depends on what you’re comfortable with. If you’ve never used a screw driver you may want to get an RTR but if you like to play around with building stuff then I would highly recommend it! Thanks for watching!
RC McTool definitely look similar with the inner fenders but Portal axles are much different than independent suspension all around (I think that’s what is on the CC01’s? Correct me if I’m wrong) Thanks for watching!
What is this ur lost footage video, lol I know for a fact u did not just open this box up for the first time 😆😂 well now that u have the correct machined gear u can get this baby out n running
STEVO D 313 Haha! I was trying to make it one video rather than a complete series. Although the body build should be another video in the future. I started the build July 2 and finished it July 21 after all the issues I encountered. Thanks for watching!

Great video. I'm new to rc vehicles and was on-the fence about getting this kit. The video helped me decide. Now what body?
Thank you! Check out my power wagon build videos, that's the body I installed on this one!
I bought one of these kits and it came with a tactical unit body is it the correct body or which one fits thanks
I would be grateful if you could also tell me the manufacturer of the body that fits with this.
what a different with traxxas trx4 bronco the chasis is same? just not include body?

Does the kit come with the longer shocks or with the standard ones?
Standard

Hi Don, sounds like you should do just fine building this! There are some small parts but nothing too challenging.
Excellent, but.... Rtr and kit are different, maybe try not pairing then as being the same?
Will it fit the sport body with the sport posts and bumpers?
