Yo! Thank for all the input guys, I see a lot of you saying to set the endpoints in the tqi app. You cant. Shift servo and diff lock servos are set to 100% you cant change it. You can only adjust endpoints on channel 1 amd 2 so steering and throttle. BUT I have a solution and will be in a video soon :)
any general purpose preferably waterproof grease works for gears as long as it stays on your gears now inside of a sealed diff you use diff oil if it isn't sealed then use grease
hey kev fyi they make a narrow fender kit for the trx4 that not only gives you fenders for the chassis but you get a front battery tray built into the fenders so you can put ur battery up front over the front tires and a lil lower or no higher at worst than the current one but like i said u get the weight in the front over front tires meaning loads more crawling ability!

In response to your perfectionist note at the end: I'm a perfectionist. What most people don't realize, is that perfectionism is an affliction. It's not like a Nobel pursuit or anything. It's a condition where everything you do isn't done good enough, and you constantly see flaws. Having good workmanship is one thing, perfectionism is another. It makes it very hard to get projects completed or even started, because there will be flaws that will make it not come out perfect, so progress is stifled.
Hello kev you can adjust the servo endpoints with the traxxas radio at the traxxas page they have a guide how to do that Go to the traxxas page.. 1. Choose your model (trx 4) 2. Scroll down to "Support" 3. Download the manual 4. on pag 36 you will find it Ps. Love your videos 👍
If you want to adjust the travel you must screw or unscrew the ball cup in the cable or move the servo saver on the spline If you move it forward far enough when it goes to shift it will go through all the spring and the start to pull the cable
you could put a battery on the back and use a rustler reciver box to move all the other electronics inside more interior weight wont let it tip as much
Need to get the fiber wheels for the Dremel. Lol. There are a few companies & people making low center of gravity battery trays for the trx4. Bow house RC makes one or you can get an Axial or Vaterra battery tray. 👍😁
Kev - you should try some lead weight blocks on the opposite side of the battery tray - might be the best way to balance out the chassis. And also use a bit of fibreglass for a top try to retain the rigidity. RC Roo
Great custom work goodjob I like it u cant go wrong when it works lol.... you should test your new lower center of gravity battery mod... awesome video
Check the Arrma Talion they are claiming 70mph out of the box. I have seen a few vids of them they look fast and glide on launches. But I have not seen anyone do any stunts. I would love to see you mod it and bash the living hell out of it. Because truggies are awesome.
Hey kev, I have an idea I think is pretty cool. I was thinking us fans can send you clips of us crashing our rc vehicles or just cool rc clips in general and you could turn it into a video like a montage of fails I think that would be awesome! Does anyone else want to see this?
I did think about doing this and give a prize to the winner but it could lead to copyright strikes if someone send me a video which is not theirs so not worth the risk buddy
Just run a smaller MAH battery and get some rock rails and mount it with a Velcro strap! I have also seen people run a 2200mah 3 cell in the front of the truck
Axial chassis flex is ok/desired in scale crawlers, but the way you drive, its probably best that you tightened it up. Otherwise i can see it turning into a pretzel.
Why not loose the micro servo's, difflockers. fit single speed conversion in main gearbox. mount the ESC and RX in the middle. that way you could run dual lipo's one either side and enjoy 8S
I don't know if it is is possible to do but can you put another battery case on the other side and but a 1cel lipo on both sides to even out the weight ?
We run our electric touring cars much the same as kevs setup except our motor is also on the side of the esc and weight distribution is perfect this looks good to me
Mr. Talbot, Human is a Celtic word and Hu was their God. I'm not going to allow you the, "I'm only human." excuse for that reason. I agree that you could be at least a mammal. Mammals are mortals thus imperfect and so I forgive you for imperfection. It is through our imperfections that we learn to appreciate divine perfection. Talbot Coin just went up in value.
If you're going to run 2 battery trays anyways, then why not use the one up top as a plate to hold your receiver box, etc., that isn't much weight, and next time maybe you could try dry graphite lubricant in the cables.
It doesn't have to be perfect but should as well put 2 battery trays on each side... and run dual 2s so the truck is balanced! Yes! Add one more battery tray on the other side and Run dual 2S Truck will be really LCG and Balanced
cant you just take you the little motor from the steering box and replace it, or is it cheaper just to buy a new steer box,,, sorry i dont know what there called

It takes a great TH-camr to make such a great video that u wait until 12 at night to watch it! So happy I subscribed and put on post notifications!
THanks buddy means a lot :)
Love your videos Mr. Talbot ❤️❤️❤️
You show good endurance and happy spirit when working. Thumbs up. I love tea ;-)
I always look forward to shop time!!! 👍👍
Got a few shop times coming up very soon :)
Your a great guy love the bashing vids not really the working ones

always love he TRX4 Vids
Same
Very good workshop fix kev
Great video as always
Loving the videos both the bashing and the workshop, keep it up!!!
Kev use a oring from a bad shock n when u see it start to squish stop tightening,no more jambed servo
That’s a good idea to lower the center of gravity on a rock crawler. Great vid kev
The worst thing about brake clean is NEVER clean surfaces you plan to weld. Some formulas creat phosphine nerve gas when burned
Get her all fixed up new servo is nice! Should work like a champ now, ready for more bashing brotha!
Yesss the TRX4 thanks Kev
Hi Kevin I like to see you working your magic on these rc trucks good vid
Hello kev
you can adjust the servo endpoints with the traxxas radio
at the traxxas page they have a guide how to do that
Go to the traxxas page..
1. Choose your model (trx 4)
2. Scroll down to "Support"
3. Download the manual
4. on pag 36 you will find it
Ps. Love your videos 👍
thanks dud but you cant set endpoints on shift and difflock servos :(
If you want to adjust the travel you must screw or unscrew the ball cup in the cable or move the servo saver on the spline If you move it forward far enough when it goes to shift it will go through all the spring and the start to pull the cable

Nice tuning tricks!
You can set end points though the traxxas link app you just have to find what channel the end points are
you need a traxxas nitro slash. soo fun
Such a great vid
I was your 100 like and I love your vids your the beast Kevin
Great video Kev 👍🏻
Sup kev trying out my own eBay store...also took a look at your eBay course just keep up the good work
good luck buddy
Thanks kev
Great video, greetings from the land of no rc interest😅 ( sweden)
Like the shirt kev!
Love the cars
Kev - you should try some lead weight blocks on the opposite side of the battery tray - might be the best way to balance out the chassis. And also use a bit of fibreglass for a top try to retain the rigidity.
RC Roo
Kevin Talbot look into a Bowhouse LCG battery tray, great upgrade.
mine has a way lower cg :)
Great video, as usual. They make a replacement battery box that goes into the factory location. Now your weight I lop sided
you do things just like a normal human would do., Great job man
0:00 he loves red
Love the workshop vids
To stiffin the chassis you could use m3 allthread and some brake line to make some crossmembers
Great custom work goodjob I like it u cant go wrong when it works lol.... you should test your new lower center of gravity battery mod... awesome video
The tqi has servo endpoints if you use the link modul ‼️😉
with that indent in the battery tray mini traxxas lipos fit perfectly in their so you can lower your weight
Nice Shirt Kev, Smashing video mate!
Just get an Ascender! It's the best trail truck out there IMHO.
Check the Arrma Talion they are claiming 70mph out of the box. I have seen a few vids of them they look fast and glide on launches. But I have not seen anyone do any stunts. I would love to see you mod it and bash the living hell out of it. Because truggies are awesome.
U R always awesome
Thanks buddy :)
Get the low-cg battery tray from BowHouse RC.
this has a much lower cg
Hey kev, I have an idea I think is pretty cool. I was thinking us fans can send you clips of us crashing our rc vehicles or just cool rc clips in general and you could turn it into a video like a montage of fails I think that would be awesome! Does anyone else want to see this?

Kevin Talbot yeah I understand a lawsuit wouldn't be fun lol
I think there's some thing around that but I would definitely submit some clips
Creative contribution license
You can set end points with a Traxxas transmitter
Nice job man!!!!
Kev look up BPC products they make front chassis battery mounts and a few other upgrades for the trx4
Cool video super awesome
Yes another video from are favourite youtuber!!!
thanks bro
Great vid
Bowhouse RC makes a low CG battery tray that fits in the stock location.
na man my cg is way lower
Not by much, I have it on my rig, and it will maintain the chassis strength you were concerned about.
Do you prefer the tx90 connectors then the traxxas connectors.
nice!you should have way more steering torque now!ready for more bashin'!!!
You should just lock up the diffs with 2m weight oil, it's a crawler after all, you would make the car lighter and less complex
Could we go out with the rc car in the Easter holiday please that's my bucket list that would be a miracle
Awesome love your vids favourite TH-camr you should try a stampede 4x4 vxl
What's the purpose of the extra servos in it again besides the steering?
Just run a smaller MAH battery and get some rock rails and mount it with a Velcro strap! I have also seen people run a 2200mah 3 cell in the front of the truck
that only makes the cg higher
Axial chassis flex is ok/desired in scale crawlers, but the way you drive, its probably best that you tightened it up. Otherwise i can see it turning into a pretzel.
Nice video 😜
Maybe it has been mentioned before but Traxxas should replace the servos for locks and gear shift with actuators.
Your good at fixing
Why not loose the micro servo's, difflockers. fit single speed conversion in main gearbox. mount the ESC and RX in the middle. that way you could run dual lipo's one either side and enjoy 8S
I don't know if it is is possible to do but can you put another battery case on the other side and but a 1cel lipo on both sides to even out the weight ?
you could but its is almost balanced as it is :)
Kevin Talbot oh ok and btw if the battery tray is a bit to big you can try to use a shorty pack and shorten the battery holder or buy a smaller one.
We run our electric touring cars much the same as kevs setup except our motor is also on the side of the esc and weight distribution is perfect this looks good to me
Hey keV, I think your diff lock and range shifter cables may be slightly sticky, or even seized. Wd-40 does good, of there are specific cable lubes
Good job! love your videos like to what you tinker with or modify👌
Me 2 love the trx4 vids me myself has 3 off them ,always Epic vids man ! Grtz ANGELO from belgium
Is it not possible to set the end points on the t-lock servo's using the traxxas app?
Can the Traxxas link Bluetooth help with setting endpoints?
Talbot Coin just went up in value.
hey kev! does that trx4 wheelbase been shortened? what wheelbase is that?
They may a lower tray mount for trx 4
If you're going to run 2 battery trays anyways, then why not use the one up top as a plate to hold your receiver box, etc., that isn't much weight, and next time maybe you could try dry graphite lubricant in the cables.
You should Mount two battery trays one on each side
I have fore my birtday a Traxxas spartan 😍😃
What's a good battery and charger for a stock trx 4
i would have just use the same stock servos my self 3rd party stuff does not always work out properly
Do you recommend a nitro rustler?
Hey Kev. Have you seen the Bowhouse RC LCG battery tray? It’s what I use and I love it!!
What's the part number for the stock servos? 2080? If do I would recommend the Savox 0250mg, I have it in my 1/16 4x4 and I love it
Is that why the original traxxas servos burn out because they are always under strain or load maybe?
what dont you adjust the end point in the traxxas app i have don it before
It doesn't have to be perfect but should as well put 2 battery trays on each side... and run dual 2s so the truck is balanced!
Yes! Add one more battery tray on the other side and Run dual 2S Truck will be really LCG and Balanced
On my RC car after 1 battery the motor is pretty hot do you think if i run one battery after another will the motor over heat and break?
if its too hot to touch its too hot to run
@@KevinTalbotTV thanks
Kevin Talbot so i was hoping you could tell me if i could make my 1/10 drift car into a truck, im curious as hell
Try going a couple teeth down on the pinion, that'll lower temps, could also try a motor fan.
turtle lover with enough zipties, hot glue, an duct tape, yes you can! Lol I would think you could with enough patience, ingenuity and parts
Still prefer the SCX10 over TRX4 although ive never driven a TRX4 they are all pretty evenly matched at certain price points.
I just got me a xmaxx
excellent choice :)
Love vid
Question. Can't you set the end points on those servos with the traxxas link??
Please someone let me kn9w
at this point maybe you should try making your own custom frame
You should put x-max electronics and a motor in that
Mitchell Johnson not possible motor mount is way too small
Which battery pack do you use
What motor/esc are you using?
cant you just take you the little motor from the steering box and replace it, or is it cheaper just to buy a new steer box,,, sorry i dont know what there called
where do u get the 8 spoke wheels that r on trx4
Just need a little trimming (cuts wire) well I'm done bye trx4 (catches the trx4 on fire)
hey KEV, when are you going to get yourself a Redcat Gen7?
