Surely its maths, motor KV diff gear ratio tire circumference. More motors wont make it faster, to go faster its more batteries a gearing up of the drive bigger rolling circumference of the wheels higher KV motor or a rocket

I think you should have left the wheel wells in. Most top speed salt racers have the wheels almost completely covered. Just a thought.
Yeah, totally agreed. You should've kept them and limited the front wheel turning because in top speeds the vibration will be too much to be handled by those servos. This way you won't be needing to cut the walls; And you should've taped all the gaps around the car, motors dont need to be air cooled but you need to keep the air pressure under the car as low as possible so that the car won't be flying. Enough air will be coming in from the fenders for the cooling. Keep on going, I just want to see the wlrld record being crushed. I Like your content :) I hope you read this
I agree doing that will improve a bit the performance too cuz it will reduce the drag

kev you should look up a ground effect car. and try to make this a ground effect car. It gives it down force without drag.

Yes it was but I think it would help the speed. mayby the fins are good but make the leading edge a triangle and the back taper down. Also if you put vortex generators on all of the body so that the air flows nicely on the car. And the other one with the ground effect was me on a alt. Many take the air scoop off the top or make it trianglular as well. But I am just a 13 year old who's dad owns 2 airplanes. So take this how you will. And 1 more thing put a extra sheet on the bottom of the floor pan. Love your channel. I hope it works.

@@NoOne-ye5jf and come 2022 its back in F1. Not in yhe same form, but the cars will be designed around a ground effect floor.

Don't cut the body around the rear of the wheels as you will introduce more tyre wake which will dramatically increase the drag on the car

I will never understand how kev stays so positive. I get anxiety when I have tests the next day and kev somehow never feels down.
I'm absolutely sure he occasionally feels down. His "down" maybe still higher up than your "up" though. Plus even if he tries to be as real as possible, your likely seeing an exaggeration of his real personality. Almost like a character, because nobody would watch it he was moping around and getting discouraged when things went off script.

Kev, have the mold cover the rear wheels: but have an opening on top on both the front and rear to lower the pressures. Also, test the ride height under load. Bumpstops in the suspension is really important to have a flat floor for stability and low drag.
Kev has such a good outlook on life. I love it!
