Try Tim unplugged. STORM😮
not at an individual level i've seen things that make be believe that there could be an intelligent design of our existence... but from everything else i've experienced i don't believe in these organized religions. my perspective is that you ought to do your best to be a good person in eyes of your living and past loved ones, friends, and peers. it's far more complicated than that but it's a good starting point imo.
It is very uncomfortable listening to two people talking about magic as if it were real.
Haha, would you rather that only atheists listened to this song?
@@RNDReacts Not at all. Theists need it far more urgently than I do. But understanding is far more important than just listening.
@@donepearce I feel you, I enjoyed listening to this song, as it really puts into perspective how many atheists may feel about the idea of God, it’s not so much that they don’t want to believe but rather like how Tim raises very valid points, considering all the issues he mentioned existing on the Earth with a God that is omnipotent, omnipresent and omni benevolent, does seem very contradictory,
We understood from his perspective, and I think this song is really good for creating these discussions, and creating good questions around belief systems,
@@RNDReacts I have no problem with people believing in gods, although I would obviously rather they stayed with things there is actually some evidence for. But like Tim, I have a deep hatred for churches that organise and impose their laws on ordinary people, particularly children. All branches of Christianity tell children about hell, and that is child abuse of the worst kind. I would implore you to think about this and consider the illogicality of what you believe, and leave it in the mediaeval past where it belongs.
But I wish you the best should you undertake this moral journey.
Hey everybody- I’m a Yank who’s trying his best to learn to identify some particulars of UK regional accents. Reigan’s is playing with me, as I’m getting some weird mixed signals all over the place. Reigan, if you read these things, where are you from/what is your background? If anybody else knows, please clue me in. There’s clearly an obvious explanation I’m just not hip to, but this is the most confounding ID I’ve had in a while… Trying my best to put in the work. 😊
Birmingham!
Thanks! I’d ruled out most of what I know of the North and knew Geordie/Yorkshire/Manx/Scouse were right out, but I guess I don’t have a good base reference for Brummie. Great video; peace to you and yours!
@@RNDReactspeaky blinders land
You need to work on your sounds levels, commentary vs clip.
Yes, Tim was very low and then they were SO loud... Really put me off 😢
@@stewedfishproductions9554 There are other versions of the song that are better for reacting to, I think. But that is neither here or there now.
It's time for aseriously long beat poem!
Or they got the first X-ray wrong just like they did mine,😂. Not a miracle 😂I am a Christian!❤
Ah religion, "The opiate of the masses". Quote Lennin I think.
I thought it was Marx?
09:21
Oh, keep listening!
{:o:O:}
You say that we need good and bad to appreciate good... I feel like one visit in child hospital and seeing kids born with cacer, dying in sufferin in first few years of their lifes kinda makes me disagree a bit ;)
Tim Minchen - "Inflatable You"
You haven't seen Storm by Minchin yet, have you?
We have not! We can check that one out next
damn, those blank expressions. Trying not to hear what he is saying.
😂😂😂
PLEASE REACT TO TIM MINCHIN - CONT!
I very much doubt Sam exists. 😊
Not anymore of course, there's just ashes left. :)
You just need a little 'faith' to believe in Sam... Then he exists. 😂😂😂
He's an amalgam of several experiences he's had with fans.
6:37 Not sure why you thought that was a positive end to the story, he was being sarcastic.
He said he asked for _evidence_ and what he got was some random story with no evidence.
Basically, it was a joke about critical thinking.
At that point I didn’t realise just how sarcastic he was being as he was sounding extremely genuine, but obviously as the song develops we realise more
No chance prayers are effective.
No disrespect to those that find comfort in the idea of God but we have as a species outgrown such primitive forms of control such as religion look how many countries have given ip the multiple gods they prayed to for this so called one god
It's like surviving a hurricane and thanking your god for saving you while everyone else in the church died. A bit self-centered.
"people hear about people being healed by this godly force" - people hear claims about healing.
you keep focusing on the "but god dos all the other bad things" the bigger problem is all the things that explain the case better.
as stated in the song
"it couldn't be mistaken attribution of causation"
some known phenomenon that could explain this...
-confirmation bias
-groupthink
-an emperor's new clothes-style fear of exclusion
-spontaneous remission
-a record-keeping glitch
this is just some know to exist things that can explain the missing cataract. no magic needed.
the supernatural has been disproven as thoroughly anything can be. every time it is tested it fails.
Think about this, if there is a god, what's the point of cancer in children??
Stephen Fry has a great take on this...
