    Rob Petkau, these videos are phenominal. I've been away from the saber game for a while, and was starting to get frustrated with my saber because i couldn't ever seem to think out the build enough to do what needed to be done (like the chassis planning). Thank you, and keep up the awesome work!

    Dude thank you for these videos!!!! I have watched mostly all of them, and they have given me a better understanding of what to use and how to approach a custom build. I am totally new to this, but I can not wait to get started on my own custom build. I am looking forward to more videos you come up with in the future.

    nice vid! thank you for sharing! i use a dremel tool with the sanding drum. take sandpaper off and touch rubber drum to the nut after turning dremel on. lowest speed for control is good. it screws the nut down the shaft at warp 3!

    The "yellow box" on the circuit board is a capacitor - probably a tantalum capacitor for power supply smoothing from the size of it.

    Would the location of a crystal focus sound board be in the same place as this should board? Can you show a video in adding a crystal chamber to the chassis construction?

    • @MadcowGenesis
      @MadcowGenesis 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes - the Petite Crouton is the same size as the CF.
      A crystal chamber is a tricky thing. While possible I've never done one with this style of chassis.

    I can't believe I didn't think of using a gender changer to secure a chassis to the inside! I was wondering how to make it so I could have a crystal reveal that, when twisting open the saber, wouldn't end up twisting the switch wires I'd likely be threading through it.

  • @chandlermorris1
    @chandlermorris1 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you wanted to secure the chassis to the outside of the saber instead of relying on friction, what size screws would you use? 2/56? I've seen you use screws on your commissioned sabers to lock in the chassis so I was curious what size? They looked really tiny.

    • @MadcowGenesis
      @MadcowGenesis 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Chandler Morris I'd just use what screw fits best and does the job. I often use 4-40 button head screws. Or 6-32 set screws

    I noticed that the metal chassis disk used in this, (I'm assuming disk # 5?) has additional holes for the two rods to be straight across from each other, but the one pictured on the site doesn't have those same holes. Did you drill those yourself, or is the picture for Chassis Disk style 5 out of date?

    • @MadcowGenesis
      @MadcowGenesis 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    +Rob Petkau I noticed you used the gender changer to lock the two sections and chassis. The website says that changer should not be used in high stress areas on the hilt and that heavy dueling may cause it to break. What do you suggest be used for a saber that will be used for heavy duels?
    Thank you in advance.

    Do you have to use a recharge port in order to use one of the protected cell batteries, or are they removeable to recharge with the Li-Ion battery chargers?

    23:04 possible but it still have to exact correct place. your other end is allready fixed you cant turn it. that is the one that hold that end cap thing there. you know what lenght hole is but not what circular angle it should be. who cant be wrong 180 degree but only threat tpi way off by lenght measure. you mark lenght then skrew it place you know where charger port is becouse you buil it match your other writeting lol. its there on your line now put mark on that line xD

    • @MadcowGenesis

    • @MadcowGenesis

      +Ambrosius Malachai They are the same. The Prizm is simply a PC3 that has been modified to use one cell (3.6 volts). It therefore uses the easier but less effective way to colour mix. Essentially PC3 is better, but more expensive for colour mixing (requires CEx). But Prizm is easier.
