This is a really solid video, both in terms of explaining the time-saving features of the fitting window, and a streamlined methodology for optimizing the fit.
What I'm missing is the last bit of tinkering - the Pb-Acid batteries are pretty good and a lot easier to fit than the T2, and with that the Ancillary Current Router wouldn't be needed (and depending on skills it might still be possible to fit the Enduring armor repairer instead of the Compact one), so the rig slot could be used for things like closing the explosive resistance hole (or boosting any other resistance if you know what your rats will be; kin/therm aren't exciting here either). Or, *with* the Ancillary Current Router, you can actually fit the T2 repairer again, improving your tank that way.
You're right. There's definitely always more tinkering to be done!! And I'm pretty sure nano pump + compact armor rep is a lot less expensive than ancillary current router + T2 rep for the same benefit. No a ton less, but still. Sometimes every isk counts!
Best tip ever : fit your ammo/weaps to the enemy -that includes lenses for lasers if you go amarr (sux to fight missile/rg enemys if you got cc lenses .) !
This was a good overall system how to fit a ship and what to put on the ship first and then downgrade to make sure it fits. However if u do it that way and also have the filter by remaining resources on, a big problem could easily happen that new players may not be aware off and in fact it happened in this demonstration. Becouse the guns in this case toke up so mutch of the ships power grid capacity it auto filtered out all of the 50MN MWDs. Yeah it says it is designed for battleships but with anything smaller then that getting to and from mission gates on grid takes FOREVER in a cruiser. For some dumb reson there is a big gap betwinn Destroyers and Battleships when it comes to MWD and the Cruiser class is really getting screwed by it in mobility. So by having that filter on remaining resources players may fit smaller modules then needed just becouse the remaining powergrid/CPU are taken up by something that have to high of a requierment.
Nice. I find that the fitting simulator doesn’t always choose the best drone combo for dps esp if you have spares in the bay. A 75mb hull will show 3 heavies instead of a 2,2,1 flight.
Great video man, really appreciate your stuff. Question on mixing guns in the high slot - I know mixing gun TYPES is a no-no, but what about gun sizes? Example is maybe a PVE myrmidon using railguns; is it always a bad idea to throw on a few small railguns to snipe smaller/faster/closer ships in a fight?
Yeah, in fact mixing types is actually less taboo to me than mixing sizes (mostly you see a mix of launchers+guns because some ships have enough hi slots and launcher/turret hardpoints to do this). Myrm can deal with frigs using light drones, and frigs should almost always be dealt with first anyway because they are naughty little babies.
@@ariesgaming2988 Ok - thank you! When you see mixed sized railguns on your next sh!tfit, know that it's some dude like me flying around out there with a flawed understanding of trade-offs and optimizations! Thanks to your vids like yours, us old dudes will figure this all out eventually.
Hello I really enjoyed this video but I was wondering if you could go over the ships of the angel cartel and the mordu legion I really love both of the ships I am still only couple weeks old in eve and I wanted to set a goal for myself I understand if you are busy or don't feel like doing this I appreciate your help either way thanks a ton
I new to game I started as a miner now dipping my toe in pve combat. Being a miner I come reliant on drones. So I'm interested in gallente drone boats. So could you show fittings on the Dom? PLEASE
This is great, learnt how to make a better fit rather than copying fits, thanks
Absolute gold in explaining the process.
finally! a good youtuber on EVE Online explanation !!! Great work.

Great video, well done, man.
