The dogs name, Jimihen is referring to Guitar God Jimi Hendrix. It's also a pun I guess? jimi & hen has several translations but I like "quite a bit weird" 😀 jimi: reserved (behaviour, attitude, etc.); modest; quiet; unobtrusive, plain; simple; subdued; sober hen: strange; odd; peculiar; weird; curious; queer; eccentric; funny; suspicious; fishy Do with that how you please.

So they do skip a lot of time as this goes on. The show starts like, start of May, and I think Kita joins sometime that month. By this point it's August, so she's practicing for like three months on-screen, a bit before joining? Not sure if still enough time but few months of cosntant practicing shoudl hlep.
Oh that makes more sense now, maybe it would be enough time if Kita had played at a medium level another instrument, adept guitarists/musicians are the ones playing the music, so almost everything played here would be unrealistic to a beginner musician, but hey this is anime and everything is possible.
@@Jhulian_R The implication I get is she's an actually good singer at least, so understands elements of that. But we don't honeslty know how far back her first attempt joining was either. Bocchi, Nijika, and Ryou are all pretty much main-hobby musicians, but how much that can carry her isn't clear for sure. And yeah, anime time comes in to the rescue to.
They didn't want to have an *actual* high school band make the music to their high profile, expensive anime, so Kessoku Band songs are written and performed by experienced professionals, and also the lead guitar parts can get pretty complicated and difficult as Bocchi is supposed to be the best musician in the group. At least Bocchi supposedly has ~5000 hours of guitar practice. But the real disconnect is honestly Kita playing pro level rythm guitar after 3, max 6 months of playing guitar (and not just her six-string bass).
That's what I'm saying! And you're right, with this high budget/profile anime the least it's understandable they wanted professionals to do the music at the very least, but Kita rhythm playing IT'S unrealistic. Guess not everything can be perfect or 100% accurate.
Thank you for your insight and explaining about parodies, that makes sense now! I'll be sure to elaborate about the player's thinking and emotions on whatever is coming next. Thanks for watching!❤️🔥👊🏽
Something curious I just notice is about Bocchi's name, her name is Hitori, that means First (if I'm not wrong), and her sisters name is Futari, that means Second.
Not really, so, "Hitori" means "1 person". But it can also mean "alone". "Hitoribocchi" means "all alone" so that's why her nickname is "Bocchi". "Futari" means "2 persons".

Oh lol, everything makes sense now!
Episode 6 is probably my favorite. Best girl arrives and we get to hear Bocchi lay it down. So much fun.
I just watched it, wow. Bocchi delivered when needed the most :')

Lol, that's a great name, Bocchi's father is indeed a guitar enthusiast!
21:04 a ryokan is basically an inn
Dunno why they didn't translate that
Yes pretty weird, thanks for letting me know!

It's so cool how tis VA are also good at singing.
Ryokan is a traditional japanese inn.
12:48 Just found out it's called a Plectrum Bachi. So, using a bachi with Bocchi.

bocchi did notice kita's rapid growth in playing the guitar in the last episode
Yeah, but...there's rapid growth, and then there's becoming an expert in six months?
